The Hotel has no parking and doesn't provide a good option for the elderly or for people with a walking difficulty to get to it. Being positioned in the center (which was why we chose the place in the first place), in a ,very, restricted traffic area the hotel failed to offer some kind of help or transfer to the parking lot available in the area (the parking lot outside the restricted traffic zone). The result was an 82 year old lady ( my mom and I) dragging our luggage in the streets for about 800 meters. It may not seem a lot but I guess at a certain age you feel distance in a different way. Even if the stuff would have offered us someone to carry the luggage or the option of a taxi to and from the parking it would have been ok but as it was - I don't think I can whole heartedly recommend this hotel.

Booked two rooms, both in courtyard. You have to take three levels of stairs, go outside down a set of stairs then over a wooden walkway with luggage. Room 603 smelled like sewage at all times, shower had zero privacy and an awkward step down into the bathroom. Hotel was in ok area, not bad but not great. Black mold in the shower and in the coffee maker (have photos). I would absolutely not recommend this location if given these overpriced rooms.

I liked that the hotel is very centrally located. However, there is no onsite parking as listed in the hotel description. I also paid a premium for a deluxe suite and the air conditioning units were not working. I was basically told to deal with it or choose a lower end room, where the units were also not functioning. No customer service whatsoever. And one room had a musty smell and the other smelled of urine. I would not recommend this hotel.

The room was spacious but I didn't like the decor. It was super noisy, you could hear other guests' closing their closet doors! They didn't even have body lotion, I'm used to not bringing any because hotels provide it, but here, they had a bottle of shampoo instead of hand soap in one side of the sink. I had read the reviews that stated that breakfast was wonderful, but I don't think so. Having stayed in other properties around Italy this trip and in previous trips, it was not even close. The only reason to stay here is its location

The location is excellent, walkable to the Central train terminal. The room we booked was a junior sukte with Olive Grove view, whilst the room was ok the definition of a Junior suite is used very literally, the room was sligjtly L shaped leading from front door to the bed, there was no seperate seating area instead a exposed cupboard. Difficult to view as jujior suite. The view of the olive grove was from the front door which exposed everything in the room as it was Glass windowed door so no real privacy. The only other window was onto a wall. The most annoying thing was the wash basins, it had a his and hers round shallow wash basins with the central taps which was fixed and prutruded past the centre which made washing very difficult without spraying water all around the basin and over the floor as you had to scoop the water out past the central tap to then splash your face. This sounds worse than it was, if it wasn't for the very central location making up for these factors I would probably have been aggrieved at the room being sold as a "Junior Suite"

Cleanliness of room excellent. Location excellent. For a 4* hotel it was tired in many areas. Also although you had shampoo, there is no conditioner or body lotion. There were plastic cups in the bathroom. Pillows were poor quality. The rooftop bar area was a nice addition and service and choice excellent. Breakfast adequate. Staff throughout hotel extremely friendly and helpful. Overall I feel expensive rates for the quality received.

Perfect boutique hotel, the staff ( every single one of them) were amazing, they were polite, eager to help and always smiling and laughing. The room was very well appointed, quiet and clean. The bar on the ground floor was very inviting and cozy. The bartenders were great and very friendly. Unfortunately the restaurant was booked solid (make sure to reserve in advance) and the rooftop terrace was closed (probably due to time of year). Hotel location was walking distance to most of the sights. We would definitely stay here again!

Our experience in the room was close to a disaster. There was absolutely no privacy in our room. The wall between us and the room next to us was so thin that we could hear the entire conversations. The guest next-door decided to play loud music until 2 AM. We called the reception 4 times and yet it took them more then one hour to turn it off. Was excited to sleep in in the morning, but the hotel was under going LOUD constructions in the room close to us starting at 8am. I understand that hotels don’t have a legal obligation to inform their guest about constructions but I find it to be pure greed that hoteliers make the call to continue to sell rooms especially in areas where there is construction. Super disappointing hotel experience to an otherwise beautiful city.

Tucked off the main street, this hotel is a fabulous place to stay. Really handy for all attractions and really centrally located. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean, spacious and cool in the heat. The staff in the rooftop bar were lovely and the cocktails were great too. Would recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay again.

Here's an improved version: This was an excellent place to stay. The people were great and very friendly. My husband had an accident in the hotel, and the staff were extremely supportive and helpful. On our first visit to Bologna we figured we would stay at the hotel Metropolitan because of its location in the city as it was fairly central to all the interesting areas and gave us a great place to start to explore from. One thing to note is that it is a bit of a walk from the train station, but the walk is nice and is mostly under porticoes which made it much more enjoyable. The hotel itself was very clean and nice and the room was set up very well. I did read from other reviewers about the odd shower/bathroom arrangement and I need to report that it was indeed a bit odd for us as well. Once we figured it out it was not an issue though and we got along with the bathroom/shower just fine. The hotel staff was very friendly and the rooftop lounge was a great place to spend the later evenings and sometimes the late afternoons. The rooftop lounge had very nice views with good drinks and snacks. The breakfast downstairs was good, but I would only rate it a 6 out of 10 due to the lack of selection. I will tell you that the coffee was fantastic though! We quickly fell into the timing of the Bologna locals which included a light lunch around 12-1pm, an Apertivo around 5-6pm with a very small snack and then dinner at 7-8pm. This is not our normal timing (being from the US), but once you get into the flow it works quite well and you can tell the time by the packed crowds at either the bars and/or restaurants. The hotel was great!

Fantastisk beliggenhet i en stille sidegate til hovedgaten. Trenger ikke masse spisesteder mm. Det er det masse av i gatene rundt hotellet. Veldig koselig med servering på takterrassen. Servicevennelig betjening. Ingen parkering, men hotellet arrangerer limo transport fra flyplassen mot betaling.

Our stay at this property was a pleasant surprise. We stayed in their off-site apartment building which was perfect. Clean, comfy, and accompanied by great air-conditioning. We had a full kitchen which came in handy for leftovers that we folded together with some local wine. The roof deck at the hotel is lovely. The cocktails and small plates were delicious and the staff was pleasant and very accommodating. Parking (if you have a car) is a short walk and next to a fabulous coffee house (Mr. Coffee). The coffee house has several breakfast options to fuel your morning. For the price point, If leverage this property again on the next venture to Bologna.
