Comfortable room, excellent shower and good towels. We had t realise that breakfast wasn't included (we're on a long trip with many hotels) but usually when you haven't booked, reception staff ask if you'd like to. So when we were starting our breakfast we and were told, we immediately arranged to pay. If we'd have known, we wouldn't have booked it as it was 20 euros, so not good value.

The hotel needs a major refurb. Our room on the 1st floor was dark, and very hot. There looked to be a new ac system in the room but it didn’t work, so we had to open the window when we were in the room and all night, fortunately shutters made this secure. The view was a tree which added to the darkness, plus one bulb not working. The toilet blocked on the first day, where they called a plumber out. They kindly gave us a kettle upon request but the cleaners took it away so we had to ask for another we then left a note for them the following day, then they replaced the kettle for no apparent reason. You get 4 bottles of water which didn’t get replaced, not sure whether they were supposed to. All the time in the room the water pipes rattle now I’m not talking a little sound but an almighty bang followed by the pipes shaking whenever someone uses water. The safe wasn’t working either, but that was quickly resolved with new batteries. The room was clean, and the reception staff polite but not overly friendly. The hotel is in a good location, near the station and near to a good restaurant Giglio Rosso and a good bar Lux Bar with very friendly staff and reasonable prices. We won’t be going back we prefer NYX hotel.

PROS: Location. The hotel is centrally located close to all sort of public transportation, making traveling around the city very convenient. Also, there are a lot of restaurants in the area. Breakfast. Breakfast was okay with diverse items to choose from. Cleanliness. The room was clean. CONS: Rooms. Rooms are very small and outdated: old furniture visible deteriorated, wall paper that gave the room a creepy look, a strong uncomfortable smell that I couldn’t figure out where was coming from; drains did not work properly, hair dryer was not working, vents were covered on some nasty stuff making it obvious that they haven’t been cleaned in many, MANY years. Perhaps was the dark energy of the room, but I did not feel safe there. Staff. Staff were respectful, but unwelcoming and unfriendly with the exception of the woman who makes hot beverages in the morning during breakfast. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again.
