This really isn’t a bad hotel, probably one of the better places to stay in this town to be honest. It does have a fully fenced parking lot, which is nice. Also, it does have a pool. I would say the area around the hotel within the town could be a little on the rougher side, but overall the property was decent

I found it somewhat challenging getting on the property. All gates were closed. Had to piggyback on Guest to get in to register. Didn't like the grits being already seasoned for breakfast. Like to season my own grits. Don't like cheese grits. Outside of those two items my stay was beautiful. Breakfast was great outside of the grits.

Beautiful property, nice rooms, gated property provides a sense of added safety and Megan is a great asset. She was friendly upon check-in and was also the bartender. Great personality and great at making drinks.

I wish all hotel stays were this nice. The property was super clean and the staff was very nice. The only few negatives (and they arent even that bad) were: The area was a little "shady", but then again, it was in the city. This was equalled out by it being totally gated, which we loved about it. It was a little hard (at night anyway) to figure out how to enter the property but a quick call to the hotel remedied that and we were able to enter pretty quickly. Lastly, all of our windows were unlocked and there were no screens on them. I'm sure housekeeping probably had them open to air it out while cleaning and forgot to lock them back. I just wanted to make others aware of that in case they had littles with them. Other than those few things, we loved it. There's a bar on site, and there's a full breakfast served in the main house, which was delicious. There was a variety of areas to enjoy your breakfast in as well, and all were beautiful options. I highly recommend this hotel. I know our family will be utilizing it anytime we are in the area.

Overall, our stay was enjoyable. The breakfast was great and the atmosphere was welcoming. However, when we arrived we were given an "updated room" due to over booking, ( we booked the walk in shower room and did not receive that). The bathroom was not cleaned properly ( hair everywhere on the floor, shower and sink.) no new toilet paper placed, rug in the room looked to have not be vacuumed in some time. The sheets and linens were clean but the bed frame it self was extremely dirty. The single pane windows were rotting and could feel an extreme draft. Again, the stay was enjoyable and these few things can be over looked. But something the staff should consider in the future.

Parking is convenient. We were overjoyed when we spotted the beautiful inn up on the hill. Then we found our room which was out back in an addition to the property and was a room that resembled a much lower quality motel instead of the inn we thought we had booked. The room was large and had amenities like a mini fridge but no historical significance. The carpet was stained in many areas and the bathroom and entry floors were sticky. I feel we were overcharged for what we experienced. For example, tonight we are in a large, beautiful, clean room of historical significance in Oxford, MS for almost $100 less than last night at The Finial.

Our room was not cleaned no sheets or blankets or pillowcases not vacuumed and this was at check in. Not a good way to start our stay. Front desk ladies were really nice but I think one hand doesn’t know what the other hand is doing. No good place to eat near by. Beds very lumpy and they sink in. I would say more but…..

Great ambiance, very historical feel to it. Stayed right by the pool (not in season yet) Layout of the room was great. I wish there was more than a sheet to cover up in bed with. The room I stayed in must have been right by a AC unit which was very loud and kept me up most of the night. Floors are very squeaky, every time the person upstairs from me moved around I was awaken. The property appears to be nestled in an idyllic setting up high on a hill. This is the reason we selected this property. That is not the case. It is right off a busy main highway. The only entrance is a narrow driveway to a gated entrance. Check in is in the workshop/barn/bar. Rooms were so, so. Clean. Living in Vegas when paying $400+ per night for a room you get modern amenities. Definitely not here. Needless to say, I was disappointed the property did not offer what the photos depict.

The room was okay. The air was set to heat when I went in so it was nice and hot on an April day. Set it to cool. Bed was okay. Walls are paper thin. I could hear the person keep walking around in the room above me and hear most conversations in adjoining rooms.

For Anniston this is probably the best place to stay. I was disappointed that the rooms are not located in the mansion, but a motel style building in the back. Overall, good and does have security gate around the property.

This hotel had the best breakfast of any I have ever stayed in! The biggest disappointment for me is their mattress in the room. It was very uncomfortable. It had a lean to it so you ended up having to slide back to the middle of he mattress every little bit. I will likely not stay again due to this reason. A uncomfortable mattress is the number one deal breaker for me regardless of how awesome the rest of the stay was.

The staff at this property were so rude. They pulled a bait and switch on us and tried to blame it on Expedia. We chose an upgraded room and arrived late, but they claimed we only had a standard room and they had no upgrades available- although they were posted on the hotel\'s own website and on Expedia after we arrived at check-in still. After waiting for them to help another guest, when it was our turn, they made us wait to help the people behind us. The clerk said that we should "never book with a 3rd party company" even though they had listed plaques of all kinds of websites with their rating on them behind her on the wall. Her attitude was nasty. The Inn was also pretty shabby, not like the pictures. Save your money on this one. Not worth it.

We stayed in one of the suites in the house. First off it did not have an elevator so you we carrying your luggage up the stairs. There are no bell men to help or any staff except in the check in building. Also there were no air units in each suite. When we arrived central ac was 76 degrees. Also we did not receive housekeeping the entire time we stayed there. It was very disappointing

Beautiful complex! We didnt stay in the Victorian house but enjoyed nice breakfasts there. Our room was behind the house & very convenient to the whole place. (Parking, check-in, bar & dining room) In general, it was quiet, except for our last night. The people in the room above us were loudly walking around & dropping things onto the floor into the wee hours. The staff was excellent & very helpful & quick to respond to our needs.

The hotel is older but well maintained. The house where breakfast is served seems to be 100 years old but is beautiful...like a Victorian mansion. The only thing i didn't like was the neighborhood around was noisy with loud cars and trucks late at night but that is out of control of the hotel staff. It wasn't so loud that i didn't fall asleep though.

The only thing i didn't like was the neighborhood around was noisy with loud cars and trucks late at night but that is out of control of the hotel staff. It wasn't so loud that i didn't fall asleep though.

I stayed at Hotel Finial over 10 years ago and remember it as a charming comfortable hotel. We didn't stay in the main building, we were in one of the rooms in the back. The town has fallen on hard times and there is a security fence around the property.

Hotel is nice. It was fun having breakfast in the old mansion. The property is fenced which makes it feel like the town may have crime problems.

I wish all hotel stays were this nice. The property was super clean and the staff was very nice. The only few negatives (and they arent even that bad) were: The area was a little "shady", but then again, it was in the city. This was equalled out by it being totally gated, which we loved about it. It was a little hard (at night anyway) to figure out how to enter the property but a quick call to the hotel remedied that and we were able to enter pretty quickly. Lastly, all of our windows were unlocked and there were no screens on them. I'm sure housekeeping probably had them open to air it out while cleaning and forgot to lock them back. I just wanted to make others aware of that in case they had littles with them. Other than those few things, we loved it. There's a bar on site, and there's a full breakfast served in the main house, which was delicious. There was a variety of areas to enjoy your breakfast in as well, and all were beautiful options. I highly recommend this hotel. I know our family will be utilizing it anytime we are in the area.

The property itself was beautiful. Every staff member we encountered was exceptional. We stayed on a Saturday night, the racing cars and loud music from them was irritating but not the hotels fault. We’d stay again.

I found it somewhat challenging getting on the property. All gates were closed. Had to piggyback on Guest to get in to register. Didn't like the grits being already seasoned for breakfast. Like to season my own grits. Don't like cheese grits. Outside of those two items my stay was beautiful. Breakfast was great outside of the grits.

The location was geat! Privacy and security was best of all. The air conditioner compressor would start up screeching and rattled loudly; we were awakened everytime throughout the night. Our sleep time was interupted; therefore we could not recommend the room until it was repaired. The breakfast lacked originality given the area and the dwelling. We anticipated fresh, and not precooked or frozen. We were very disappointed that the food was not home cooked. Biscuits were the Pillsbury frozen, sausage was microwaveable, gravy was canned and the eggs were either from a pourable carton or instant. The choice of music was loud soul and rock, it could have been lowered in volume and instrumental soul, rock, whatever choice, but "no lyrics."

The breakfast has always been remarkable but this time it was average. we were frequently waiting on them to refill something that had run out or for the coffee to be refilled! The breakfast was the same both days! The hotel rooms are comparable to another room but the experience in the main house always made this our go to spot but this time it was just mediocre!

We really enjoy the stay at this BW Hotel. The comfort was great, and the environment was also pleasant. The staff very friendly and helpful. The Breakfast was nice, but Sunday breakfast didn't go so well. There seem to be just one cook, and she couldn't possibly keep up with the demand of people that showed up to eat. Besides that, I would recommend others to stay here.

This place is first class across the board! Room was spacious, clean and quiet! “The big house” is beautiful! It was decorated for Christmas and was like stepping back in time! The staff-the most accommodating and kind folks I have dealt with at a hotel. Our room was cleaned daily. I travel for a living and this isn’t always the case! Best part-FRESH BREAKFAST EVERYDAY!!! Even on Christmas Day and it is quality-not those powder eggs and fake bacon you get at most spots! My family still lives in the area so my husband and I go back to the area to visit…this is our “go to” going forward! Thanks to everyone there for going above and beyond!

Second time to stay here. This is one of our favorite places to stay when we travel. Large clean rooms with a superb breakfast. The breakfast is served in a Queen Anne Victorian mansion located next to the rooms. You can walk through the gardens on the property. Outdoor pool plus a frig and microwave in he room. Staff was helpful and friendly.

We stayed in the main house for our anniversary and very clean and quiet. I loved the historic home. I loved all the decor and fireplaces. We loved the breakfast and coffee. The staff was excellent and held the door for us as we were leaving with our bags. There is a cute cat that I think is a stray that hangs outside and such a sweet calico. Loved our stay. I wish I had more time to spend in the carriage house bar and the pool
