Was average. Pool was closed. Descent breakfast. Had to wait a long time to check in with only 1 person at the desk. A bit overpriced for the experience. Would not have stayed here if I planned a bit better. Not a bad place though...,

Our stay was for a soccer tournament. Were able to check in at 1:00 p.m. Even though check-in time is 3:00 p.m. front desk clerks were very helpful. The hotel is currently being renovated so the back half of the hotel is partially dismantled for construction. That however did not affect our room stay. The room was okay. We didn't have any obvious issues with the cleanliness. However, one of the outlets in the bathroom did not work, but the manager offered to have it repaired or give us another room if we chose to do so. Overall, we just use the room to sleep so as long as that was okay and the room wasn't gross, it was okay. We'll probably try to find a little bit higher quality hotel next time, but would stay here again if need be

First, the staff were very kind and attentive and very pleasant! Excellent employees. However, the property smelled awful, especially my room. Like old food or something. The couch had large stains. And the AC was stuffed full of bounce sheets, i assume to mask the smell. (Unsuccessfully) Someone in my hallway was smoking weed the whole weekend so there was that smell also. There were some questionable people also in a room down the hall… several scantily dressed girls and a couple guys. It was worrisome. We were there for a long weekend due to a death in the family, and basically only slept there and it was just too much trouble to ask for a refund and go find another place. But I won’t be back.

The hotel has gone down. I stayed there years ago and it was very nice. Now it smells like urine and looks rundown. Friendly staff. Never received full housekeeping services. They would only empty trash and provide clean towels. Never made or changed linen on bed in 7 days. Will not stay again

AC unit did not cool good. Television offered no channels to watch. They took up breakfast before the designated time ended. Although I booked on no hidden fees and taxes I was charged anyway. Tried to dispute and would’ve gone somewhere else but it was late evening and I was tired so I just paid.

Several things were of concern: (1) It would have been nice to know you're undergoing renovations before I booked (2) I reported an issue with my TV that was never fixed, despite them telling me they would come back or do it when I was away during the day. (3) took SEVERAL days for a simple fix of the sink, the stopper in the sink wouldn't come up. I asked a third time at around 8pm when the person at the desk wasn't there. I rang the bell as it said to and I got the most irritated stare as if I was disturbing them. (4) Several times I had to wait more than 10 minutes to get hot water.... In 2025!!! (6) this one could be just me, but I get holding off on towels, but the bed was only made ONCE for me the whole stay (6 days). If that's the norm, it's not good. How Best Western responds to this will determine if I ever stay there again. And I have to go to Decatur a lot to check up on family.

We just stopped for the night on our way to Florida, talking with the front desk when checking out and she gave us a couple bottles of water, in case there wasn't any available. Such an amazing jester. Would definitely recommend! They are remodeling, but did not affect us at all

The staff was not friendly and not helpful. I asked for a stay over cleaning for my room and was told the service was not available on Friday. The hotel is dated and doesn’t have UB adapters. The breakfast was below par and the front desk staff needed to run the kitchen so it took over 20 minutes to check out. The coffee was watered down and low quality food. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. You could stay at a Motel 6 or Super 8 and get better quality.

I was supossed to stay 3 nights, but my trip got cut short due to a family emergency. The hotel was gracious and understanding about my situation. The 1 night I did stay, the room was clean, and roomy. The only complaint i have was the water pressure for the shower could be better. But the bathroom was spacious, and clean! Thank you again best western for a great stay! Definitely will stay there again when i visit Alabama again!

Alabama in the summer is a difficult time for hotel air-conditioning. The room had a constant dampness. Shower towels never dried even over night. The hotel has some years but the property owners have clearly taken action in maintaining the safety and cleanliness. Breakfast was good. Staff was pleasant. The hotel is right off beltline Rd so convenient for single night or longer stays or getting downtown or going getting food/ light shopping.

This is my 5th time to this property and i have always had an excellent stay. It is clean, close to shopping ourlets, and has friendly staff. Each time i am in decatur alabama this is my choice for hotel accomodations.
