Comfort Inn Decatur Priceville

The pool was closed when we got there so we could not swim. Our shower faucet was twisted and bolted sideways and we could not use the faucet, just the shower head which was dripping so much that there was a puddle of water on the bathroom floor. It dripped and made noises and around the caulking on the bathtub was black stuff...not sure if it was mold or not. The beds were comfortable and the front desk lady was great. We will not stay here again.

Pool wasn’t usable. Loose plugs in room. Bathroom was dirty and did not want to use. Bedding looked old and worn.

Air conditioning too much. Turned it off and turned on the heat despite the constant 97 degree weather. Gym was nice. Had enough to work with. Better than other places ive stayed

The place is fine and the location is convenient but their pool is perpetually closed and so is the gym. They need to stop lusting them as amenities… it’s borderline fraud at this point.

I reserved there because it advertised a pool and workout room, both were closed and had been closed for some time. I was told they have no intention of reopening either. So if you plan on using this hotel and want to enjoy a pool or a run, so not go there. False advertisement.

Everything is fine. Gym had some no working equipment and AC was seemingly not working. Our checkin was ok but we were give a room with someone in it. Hotel staff took care of it for us immediately.

This hotel needs an update. Lots of dents, dings and scratches on the furniture, walls, etc. Places where rust on metal is showing through paint. Pool was out of order. This needs to be clear in online listings. My daughter was very disappointed.

I picked your hotel for the indoor pool for my grandson to swim. For the second time the pool was no usable. Last time it was closed. This time the water was very, very cold. No human being would have gone into that pool. There was no indication on the website that the pool was closed are not usable. Even though the hotel is convenient for our visit to the area, I do not like being lied to about the facilities.

This hotel was unclean and rundown. The worst was a clump of hair in the bathtub. The check in desk clerk was uncertain about how to check us in. All in all, it was dirty and unkempt.

Horrible experience!! Bugs no water pressure

The room was full of dust, and the bed had bedbugs on it. The hallway fire door was jammed open, so anyone can walk into the building unchecked. Light fixtures in the room were broken or strobing.

I recently had the unfortunate experience with this hotel left me utterly disappointed and disgusted. From the moment I stepped into the room, it was evident that cleanliness was not a priority for the establishment. The state of the room was appalling, with shredded curtains hanging from the windows, wires dangling from the ceiling, along with a distinct odor that made it unbearable to spend any time in there. It was clear that the hotel had neglected basic hygiene standards. To make matters worse, upon leaving the establishment after communicating that the condition of the room was not acceptable, we were informed that the exterminator had visited the day before. This revelation left us feeling incredibly uneasy and questioning the hotel's commitment to guest safety and comfort. The fact that they failed to inform us of this prior to our arrival was both irresponsible and unacceptable. The lack of maintenance and attention to detail was evident throughout the entire property. The common areas were equally filthy, with stained carpets and unkempt furniture. It was evident that the hotel was in dire need of a thorough renovation and a complete overhaul of their cleaning practices. Disappointing for this hotel chain.

Fridge did not work had to throw away all yougurts and milk, room had strong musty odor, sheets held same odor

Bug every where cockroaches and lots of the did not stay worse place man at desk said bugs have been a problem

While we had high expectations for this property based on the ratings, we would advise never staying there. Room 313 was cockroach infested (my husband had at least one crawl over him while sleeping). The ceiling smoke detector was zip wrapped in a bag and inoperable. The shower had stains, hair, and looked like it had never been cleaned. Just don’t!

Run down motel that needs to be cleaned.

The carpet felt wet and gross, mold could be seen in the shower, the remote was sticky and gross. The pool was closed for weeks but there this was not disclosed on the reservation page. The breakfast was sub par. Very few choices and imitation fried eggs were the main choice.

Comfortable bed

Is an older well worn Comfort inn that needs updated, our room door was wide open when we got to it, scary! Looked like it needed vacuumed, facet dripped, tv was old and lack of channel's and direction.

The room was muggy no matter how cold the air conditioning got. The desk chair was several years overdue for being discarded - the fake leather arm rests were rubbed down to the cloth and the seat was worn out. The bathroom was plagued by rust - the metal door jamb was rusted and even the framing for the drop ceiling was rusted. The tub faucet dripped no matter how hard the faucet was turned off and the diverter was stuck on the shower setting. The front desk staff was nice and hospitable. The breakfast was bare bones and lacked someone to monitor running out of supplies like milk.

Staff was super friendly. Room had a funny smell. The carpet and curtains need replacing (probably where the smells are coming from). The bed however was super comfy. No smart TV.

There was moisture.Like everything was damp. Floor and pillows and covers. The curtains were see through on the windows.

It was clean, but in need of repairs. The wall around the shower/tub had a lot of water damage. There was also no holder for the toilet tissue. It simply put on a shelf under the vanity. The mattresses were not wrapped for protection from bed bugs. We didn't find any, but it is always a good idea to protect. The wifi was so weak it would not stream, even after a reset by the clerk.

check in and staff we good. check out, the guy told me he couldn't give me a receipt and hotels.com would send me one. The room had dirty carpet. My feet were dirty after walking on the carpet. the bed was very old. I could feel the springs. The closet had the doors torn off and set to the side. The bathroom had missing tile and the light over the shower was out. Two out of three lights over the sink worked. The owners Need to take better care of the property!!! I could have got a much better hotel room for what I paid.

Average to just below hotel. Outside looks incredibly nice & recently redone but don’t look inside. Many things need to be addressed including poor mattress, electrical, aging bathroom, etc.

Mattress was terrible, felt like a mattress topper thrown on a concrete slab.

No one working the desk when I checked in. 10 minutes ringing the bell before someone showed up.

I checked in late and service was fast and friendly. The hotel itself can use some upgrades. It's showing wear and tear. The showers were concerning. It looked like lots of hard water rust type stains on the walls. Glad I just slept and didn't have to shower. I felt like I would have needed a shower because of the shower and not because house keeping didn't do a good job, but because the property is dated.

Very friendly check-in and follow-up on one small request. The morning staff were also great.

It is always a pleasure to stay at this facility. The staff is always friendly, helpful and professional. The first room I was asigned had a problem with air conditioner. They reasigned me to another room just two doors away. The problem was solved.

Had a very late arrival after a long day of driving. Charlie, the night auditor, made me feel very welcomed and easily accommodated my special requests-very charming and professional. He put a smile on my face. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable.

There was only one baggage cart. No hairdryer or iron in the room. Night desk clerk was very helpful. Morning clerk couldn’t be bothered.

We were unable to stay. The room above ours was leaking from there bathroom into ours. Looking at the ceiling it was not the first time. We were given another room that had not been cleaned and we were not sure if someone was still in there when we opened the door. So at 11:00 at night we were out trying to find a new hotel. I am now trying to get my money back, but the manager will not call me back.

Difficult to get into from interstate and out if you want to go left as its nit at a light.

I liked the Comfort Inn in Decatur , Alabama because it was right off of Interstate 65 and it had plenty of dining options.

It is convenient to the interstate, lots of restaurants within driving distance, a nice lobby, great Continental breakfast, elevator, very clean, friendly helpful staff, and great rooms. The only negative is the entry road is right beside another road and it is hard to tell which is which. We turned off to the wrong road a couple times and you have to go back out on the highway and find your way back in. There are no interconnecting parking lots with the neighboring businesses, which would be very helpful. All in all a great motel.

The staff here is amazing. The room was worn down but seemed clean. The toilet was broken and was leaking. The lamp shades were cracked. The entrance to the hotel is confusing but it was quiet. Convenient location with gas and restaurants

Bathtub was very slippery. Tub faucet was coming out of the wall. Breakfast was good.

Breakfast was ok. Looks better in pictures. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Little things make a big difference though... one of the closet doors was off the hinges and propped against the wall (not safe with kids), the bathroom door would not shut all the way (mostly, but wouldn't click shut), lights in the hallways were flickering & should be replaced, and our TV remote needed new batteries. (I went down to the front desk to get fresh ones.) None of these are huge issues, but lots of little things add up. I would stay here again though because I was impressed with the staff. Great job!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Over the last 6 year we have stayed at this hotel about once a year with no issues. This time was SO DISAPPOINTING! The fountain in front no longer works. Front desk staff was not welcoming. The pool did not work which was one of the main reasons we chose it. I know things happen- but I urge you to look at the reviews for this property on the Choice Hotels site rather than Expedia. More updated and honest reviews. I will say the room was clean and comfortable but for the price that was little consolation. The room had outlets that did not work (the one in the bathroom didn’t work so couldn’t use the hair dryer or any hair tools) The room had damage and missing pieces throughout. Badly needs updating. Finally- after a somewhat restful sleep/ we looked forward to coffee and breakfast. The coffee was good. However- that was the only beverage available as the milk was empty and the juice machine was broken. When mentioned to the staff nothing was done about it. I’ll mention that this was only at 7am on Sunday! Several families with children came in and there was nothing for them to drink! Even water was from the juice machine. Surely something could have been brought in? The one staff person sat in the dining area loudly listening to something on his phone and then went and hid in the back office. Once back in the room- housekeeping showed up. We were not near check out time of 11am. All in all - never again.

The pool was out of service as was the workout room. The continental breakfast was subpar, juice machine out of order, overall selection lacking. The staff was friendly and the room sufficient, however I specifically booked this hotel for the pool since we were there for a softball tournament and wanted to cool off after 2 long days at the ball field so it was disappointing.
