Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Scottsdale Old Town

The pool was closed not shown on booking listing and building was fully under construction and it needs it but I didn’t need to be part of it!

i loved this hotel tbh, stayed 3 nights with 4 people total and had 0 issues with anything! workers were all so kind! pool isn’t too big but it’s nice. heard the breakfast wasn’t the best though!

Loved the indoor pool.

Pool was excellent, and one of the few indoor pools in the greater Phoenix area.

Don’t stay at this hotel right now. It’s under construction. Pool was closed. Our room was nice & clean. Other parts of the hotel was under construction. It should have mentioned this construction on the site.

This property charged 10/day to park which is ridiculous for the area. I’ve stayed at the Hyatt right down the street and never paid to park, chose this property to try something new and big mistake. The room has used lotion and amenities on the counter and the bathroom wasn’t super clean, which is disappointing. The staff was also kind of rude. What a shame. I’m a Marriott Gold Elite and repeat user of hotels.com There are better properties in the area for a better price with better staff!!

A great hotel for its location with a helpful staff. Toilet seats are flimsy. Take-out breakfast only (no hot food). Delightful indoor pool. Recommended.

Clean property locates in a decent area

The rooms were nice. The Lobby and hallways were under construction. We wouldn't have booked had we known. The amenities not as listed, site needs up date. Not quite worth the cost, maybe when finished.

My shower wasn’t clean and hair everywhere. My beds had some hair.

I thought it was pretty good overall. There were some boxes laying around and some obvious renovation going on but we didn’t hear anything from our room. We also had the room right next to the elevator and didn’t hear a thing. The only noise was from someone outside bumping their loud music. The room was nice and clean and the ac got cold. It was a little noisy but whatever, we slept good. Bed and sheets were comfortable and clean. I would stay here again.

Beware the entire hotel is undergoing renovations. The only floor that is not is the 3rd floor and it need updates. Dust everywhere, sound of power tools during the day. Couches in room filthy, weird slope into bathroom. Wouldn't eat in breakfast bar because of dust.

Hotel was run down. Carpets and walls were dirty. Bed had stains on the sheets. Smelled of mildew through the whole hotel

This is a gem at this price point. Hotel has been remodeled and is very clean and the rooms are very comfortable. Well located within walking distance to old town Scottsdale

Property is newly renovated but still having some teething issues. Door to room was extremely difficult to open. Informed front desk who showed no interest and did not apologize. Bathroom was very small and inward opening door was a disaster.

The hand held shower mount was broken. There was no hot food for breakfast

The property clearly had just been in a remodel. It was clean and nicely furnished. However, there was no regulator on the heating and cooling unit. With AC it was set to 72 and I woke up with it at 58. I than turned on the heater and set to 68. I woke up and the room was 88 degrees. I notified staff and they said they would notify someone. I never heard more and that night it was the same issue. Also the toilet seat was loose and needed tightened. Another guest in the breakfast room reported similar issues.

The room was nice and roomy and clean. Negatives: The door to the room was hard to open and the fan on the heater was noisy.

It was good for what I needed for a night but the ac wouldnt stay at the regulated temp that I set so I was hot in the middle of the night as it climbed to near 80 too hot and had to get up to restart the ac. I'm not sure what that was about. Everything else was great the staff, the hotel upgrades, area. Hopefully this time I'll get my deposit back in at lease a week not like last time month later that I had to dispute it.

I liked the breakfast. I didn’t like the rude and confrontational staff who continuously engaged in provoking a response from me that I wasn’t enjoying in any way. Hotel Scottsdale has confrontational and unhelpful staff who have no business in creating a hospitable environment for their guests

Good location and value for money clean. They are still doing construction which didn't bother us. No coffee last day and on duty employee was very rude. The other emloyees were very friendly.

We arrived to check in and the woman at the desk told us that the computer was down and that we couldn’t check in yet. I asked when it would be fixed and she said it could be 10 minutes or it could be longer. I said were we able to check in tonight and she said I’m not sure you’ll have to come back later. After hours and hours of traveling, we couldn’t even check into our room and she made it seem like we weren’t going to be able to check in at all!!!!! Which is absolutely ridiculous We just traveled almost 15 hours and we are exhausted. We had an event to attend that night and we couldn’t even change shower and get ready because our hotel room was not able to be checked into because the system was down. She did not give us any guidelines or give us any help whatsoever. She just said could be 10 minutes. Might not even be tonight. Breakfast was also a reason we booked this hotel and due to remodeling it was CLOSED. There was also construction going on in the room next-door starting at 8 o’clock in the morning every single morning. We were attending events that we were out late for and this was not a good awakening. Not to mention after I’ve gotten home I did not get my entire security deposit back which makes absolutely no sense. We left their own spotless.

Great hotel stay for work, looks of places near buy to get snacks, food etc… the check in staff was great. I realized the next morning I left my deodorant at home and was able to buy some in the hotel. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Really nice clean room.

Terrible customer service! 1). No clear direction where front desk was during lobby construction. 2). Front desk attendant was not available. 3). When she became available, she had bad attitude. 4). Key cards did not work properly. 5). Maintenance was not available when needed. 6). Male (possibly property manager) lacked proper customer service training. He was rude & full of excuses. Blamed us for complaining while maintenance was unavailable. 7). Parking had nails on the ground. 8). Hallway & stairs were dirty.

I stayed on December 7, 2024. Got in kinda late and had a 6am flight. The gentleman at the front desk informed me of the free breakfast starting at 7am. I told him I have an early flight and I have to leave by 4:30am. He said he will have breakfast ready for me by then! Because of him, you have a customer for life every time I’m in Phoenix. Give that man a merit raise for going up and beyond!

Love visiting Scottsdale area Old Town. Great location

Went to Scottsdale for a baseball game and nice weather. The hotel location was maybe 1/4 mile from the stadium and Old Towne Scottsdale is a close walk. The location is perfect.

If you want to see Old Town, this is a great spot to use as home base.... walkable and/or easy drive with parking to the area.

Hotel Scottsdale turned out to be a great find! The staff were so friendly and it was newly renovated. I walked to old town every day. It was a 7 min walk. I will definitely stay here again!

I’d definitely stay there again. It’s walking distance to downtown Scottsdale. There was construction at the property. So it was a little messy, but I really didn’t mind.

Currently under construction for a remodel. Staff are great and did their best to take care of us under the circumstances. Power to breakfast appliances was spotty due to construction. Breakfast items were very limited. Room was ckean and comfortable.

The property was okay. They’re in the process of doing renovation so our bathroom door was broken and the shower had no soap, glad I brought my own. Breakfast was good but no cooked food.

Seems to have gone through major renovations. They were still doing some work, which didn't interfere with our stay. Breakfast was pretty basic, they ran out of a lot of items. No nspkins coffee creamers knoves.

This is a VERY recently renovated hotel and we were completely unaware that work was still going on all around us. We even had to go out a side door during the day but were never actually told anything was going on when we checked in. It is very nice, don’t get me wrong-but one thing I can definitely say needs work? The complimentary breakfast. When we got there, about 8:30am, there was cold cereal but no milk. Bagels with very little cream cheese and that was it. Not even toast. It was a bit lacking but am hoping this is just because it seems like they just opened. It was nice, absolutely, but there are a few kinks to work out. Loved how close it was to the ballpark!

Property is old. Lobby and rooms smelled old. Seemed sketchy, name of hotel was covered and just the feeling when you walk in. Breakfast was just bagels, muffins and cereal. I would not stay again.
