Everything was nice and clean. Our problem was there was 1 elevator on the opposite end of the hotel so if you were like us and had a room on the other end you either have to take stairs or walk forever back and forth which of course isnt worth it. No reviews mention this and i dont get why i wouldnt have picked this if i knew since i have asthma and we had alot of bags stairs isnt a good option and walking forever from the elevator carrying everything was torture.

This was my first time visiting Arizona and I was unsure about staying in a Best Western Plus. Over the years I thought they had declined in quality as did most hotel brands. My viewpoint has drastically changed now. This hotel had a delicious breakfast, a wonderful steakhouse restaurant, a classy bar with a view, clean rooms, secure entries, and a lovely hot tub to enjoy after a long day of hiking. I am a student and had a final I needed to complete during my stay but my laptop stopped working. The hotel staff guided me to a quiet computer area where I was able to successfully complete my final. I am so happy with my stay and will now be checking into other Best Western hotels in the future.

This hotel is fabulous! It’s nestled on a hill among the pines and is absolutely beautiful. The lobby, the restaurant, the included breakfast, the bar, the pool, the jacuzzi, the fire pit area, the lawn for games, and the staff are amazing. AND, it’s pet friendly! If it wasn’t so far from home, we’d gladly stay there again and again!

This was a fantastic choice on recent family trip! Upon arrival, we found the grounds and building to be very well kept, with wooded, mountain views. The lobby and dining room area were beautiful with fireplaces and even a cappuccino machine! Our room had a "traditional" hotel layout, but was very clean with quality bedding. The breakfast buffet offered a generous variety of hot and cold items, which were kept well stocked by the attendants. The heated outdoor pool and hot tub were a huge hit for all of us and the guest laundry machines were modern AND reasonably priced at just $2.00 a load! All of the staff we spoke with were pleasant and friendly - Highly recommended!

Everything was very good except for a bad smell in the closet of our room. They immediately came and clean the closet out, but unfortunately the smell stayed. That was the only thing wrong with the room, but it was very overpowering. We had our room changed the next morning and they were very good about it, the food was wonderful was very good but I really believe that they knew that there was a smell in that closet

The property is okay but not within walking distance to town. We experienced issues with 3 different rooms. The 1st had a bad cigarette odor, the 2nd had a bad cleaning odor and the 3rd had a bad stagnant/dog odor. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. Restaurant on premises for dinner. Have stayed at better places and wouldn't recommend this place due to the room odors.

Sheets didn't appear to be washed. Asked for another set to change myself. They were short handed so I had to go to the front desk to pick up clean ones. Office said driers burn the sheets and leave marks but sheets had debris stuck to them. Maybe washed but definitely put back on still dirty if that was the case.

Walking into this Best Western, we were greeted by western and Native American decor and a friendly front desk staff. The place has good character — as east coast visitors to Arizona, we felt like we were “out west.” There’s a nice pool and fire pit area, and I especially liked the separate hot tub area with a little pine tree next to it. It’s not a new building, but our room was clean and seemed a little bigger than newer chain hotels. The bathroom light heater was nice touch. Overall, we just really liked staying here more than newer, bland chain hotels. Pros: nice staff, cleanliness, western decor, woodsy location, a fun gift shop with Grand Canyon and other regional souvenirs, a breakfast buffet, a decent restaurant and bar. Cons: too-soft mattress (we had to keep from rolling into the middle), breakfast buffet coffee was instant from a machine.

The hotel was very nice. I got a room with a balcony. The view was nice and the room was clean and well kept. The bathroom was nice. The only complained I have is the rooms with balconies are right by the lobby. So it was pretty loud throughout the night. The staff was great and friendly. Check in was super easy.

The place is nestled up next to forest hill that makes you feel safe and remote when driving to it. The dated interior makes you feel like you are in the old Wild West theme which makes quite interesting. So close and convenient to the Grand Canyon railway train was big plus.

My wife dropped a diamond stud earring in the motel room. When we got home to LA we noticed it was missing but had no idea where it was lost. The motel called us and asked if we had lost an earring, I told them yes we were missing a diamond stud earring. They said they had it and would mail it to us. Wonderful!!!

Staff was great, especially at the front desk. Awesome job at check in. Room was super clean and comfy. The whole place was even better than expected with steakhouse and bar. So convenient and rare these days. It is right off the highway yet it was set back and we couldn’t hear a thing. Such a pleasant experience.

The front staff ladies made our stay the best. I was experiencing sever shoulder pain and alone with my 15 year old daughter, ended up having to stay an extra night. The friendliness of the staff and management and house keeping made it feel like family

Did not stay at all as they refused to move my date one day forward (as I made error) without charging me an additional money on top of the new date charge. I called five minutes after. I also have had best western tell me it is hotels.coms choice to transfer paid fee to next night and Hotels.com says it is the hotels discission. NO HELP form either and done with both.

Perfect weekend stay with my husband. Hotel was very clean. Everyone was polite and helpful The steakhouse was fabulous. Leo is the best waiter EVER. We will be back!

The hotel try’s to up charge everything. We got to the hotel an hour early, check in time is 3pm, and they said if we wanted to check in earlier there was a $30 additional charge even though the room was ready. So we waited and came back later. Then they said if we checked out later than 12 noon there was a $30 up charge. We weren’t planning to check out later but it was weird they said that. Seemed like they were targeting people who booked through a 3rd party. There was another family that wanted to check in early and they let them with no additional fee since they hadn’t booked through hotels.com.

The hotel is situated between the spectacular wonders of the Grand Canyon to the north and Sedona to the south. It avoids tourist traffic and overpriced hotels at those locations. The outdoor area with a pool and tub amongst trees and gardens is perfect for evening relaxation and conversation. The hotel is clean and well managed by friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Probably the best hotel I’ve visited. Equals or betters resort quality and amenities. Very peaceful and quiet, location is excellent. Price was shockingly low, I truly expected twice the price for what is provided.

The staff were nice and quick. The property is right off the forest and secluded. The downtown restaurants and shops are only a 5 min drive on Route 66.

Lovely, clean property nestled in a quiet, treed area just a short drive from downtown. The decks off the back of the hotel with seating, hot tub, pool and fire pit were attractive and inviting. The “full” breakfast did not accommodate those in need of gf or dairy free foods.

Nice hotel, loved the free coffee service in the lobby. The surrounding trees on the property gave it a "lodge" sort of feel. The steak house was convenient but their steaks don\'t hold up to their prices. We only spent one night after a day at the Grand Canyon and that worked out great.

Our stay was excellent, greeted by a very friendly staff. Amenities were very nice, clean pool and hot tub. Dining was exceptional, highly recommend enjoying dinner there. Food was 5 star, as well as service.

Nice location. It was friendly. The breakfast was not good based on what good food should be. The pancakes were very processed and eggs not so great. The coffee was lousy. The room was dated. Otherwise, it was okay.

Overall was a decent place to stay, we were there two nights. One of the mornings the breakfast was cold, like the sausage, the gravy, and the biscuits... microwave fixed that but you have to wonder about food prep...but no we didn't get sick and the next morning was great so maybe just an off day.

Very disappointing experience for a Best Western Plus We have stayed at Best Western Plus hotels many times, including on previous US trips, and generally had good experiences. We choose the Plus hotels expecting a certain standard. Unfortunately, this was by far our most disappointing stay on this road trip. The breakfast was extremely poor. There was no bread, toaster, cream cheese or bacon. The selection was limited to eggs, pancakes, yoghurt, a few muffins and cereal. Reception confirmed this was the current offering, although bread was apparently served in the past. Noise was another major issue. The doors slam incredibly loudly when guests leave their rooms, causing significant disruption. We have not experienced this at any of the other Best Western Plus hotels on this trip. There was also no microwave in the room, which was a significant inconvenience when travelling with a baby and needing to clean bottles and pacifiers. We paid $285 per night, making the experience even more disappointing. For comparison, we recently stayed at a five-star hotel in Las Vegas for $412 per night. Given the relatively small price difference, this property falls well below the standard we expected. Overall, the hotel offered poor value for money and fell far short of both our expectations and the standard of other Best Western Plus properties we stayed at. Unfortunately, we would not return.
