Grand Canyon Railway Hotel

Excellent stay. Enjoyed the train to the Grand Canyon. The property was nice. The gym and pool were great. We enjoyed breakfast at the Fred Harvey.

Loved everything about the property except the pool and spa. Spa was not hot and pool was dirty.

Place was well maintained and had free EV chargers available.

Family friendly. I have a 14 year old who enjoyed the pool area and gaming room. Hubby and I had a couple of drinks at the bar. Definitely will be back.

Nice property in a great location. Our son loved the pool - the water could have been a little warmer, we swam 3 days in a row until his teeth were chattering and then got in the hot tub. You have to enter the pool area from the outdoor courtyard so the air temperature was on the cold side since we were there on a snowy weekend. The park is also fun but a little bit of a walk from the hotel - it's closer to the RV area

Room was clean, hotel was just as pictured. Loved the pool and hot tub! The town area was also nice and close for lunch or dinner. Stayed before catching the train!

Very centrally located. Enjoyed the saltwater pool and hot tub each night of our stay. Very quiet.

Rooms were clean, spacious, and quiet. Even though we saw many families with children vacationing, we never heard commotion in the hallways or even adjoining rooms, and no one made noise above us. Staff was accommodating, friendly, and helpful.

Nice hotel, but room may have black mold. Not sure. My wife and i got really sick staying in the room. Stayed a extra night, too sick to drive home. Still sick but had to get out of there. Started feeling better after we left.

Photos are not accurate. Hotel is worn down, our room was dirty, stains on the comforter, hair in the bed and bathroom, cracks on the walls and around a/c, you could feel the springs in the bed, never dusted, you could tell from the phone, remote & table. The pool was dirty and not heated as they indicated. It was our anniversary and I didn't want to complain, I really just wanted to go home. The only good thing I can say was the long island's from the hotel pub were good.

Everything was excellent. All staff were super friendly and inviting. Room was clean and comfortable.

I was a little disappointed the pool was still a little cold. There was black marks all over the walls in the room and hairs on the ceiling in the bathroom.

The lobby is beautiful! The room was clean. The hotel was walking distance to downtown Williams!

No maid service poor quality interior rooms

A perfect place to stay if you are visiting Williams Arizona but especially if you are using the Grand Canyon Railway to visit the Grand Canyon as the station is literally within the hotel grounds. I didn’t make much use of the hotel’s facilities as it was just a base for touring but it has everything you could want - lots of parking space, indoor pool and spa tub, big restaurant and a pub. Room was very nicely furnished and had everything I needed except for a safe. One poor aspect was the WiFi reception in the room. Almost non-existent. I did complain about it but nothing was done to fix it. Could hardly connect and if I did signal was so poor I had to disconnect and go back to phone connection.

Everything was great but the beds…lumpy.

This was my second time to stay this time I did not ride the train, but the room was nice with comfortable beds, bathroom is nice and clean looks like painted recently, there was not enough coffee in room, they did have some in lobby, it was just too far to go get it. There is only one elevator and our room was a good walk from it. That would be the only downfall. We ate and drank in the bar and it was excellent. You can even get drinks to go.

Nice hotel in a great location. Everything about this hotel was great except for the worst pillows. They couldn’t be any harder and more uncomfortable. Why not provide soft pillows ?

The room was clean and the staff friendly. The AC unit was very noisy making it nearly impossible to sleep and the train early in the morning capped off a terrible nights' sleep. The location was a bonus for catching the Grand Canyon Railroad.

Everything was excellent except the mattress was in bad shape needing replacement years ago. Very poor nights sleep.

The hotel was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. Our room was clean. The beds are not comfortable at all. Rooms state they are queen beds but personally felt smaller than a true queen. The pillows are not comfortable and were pretty flat. Our room was next to the exit for the pool and other guests were going in and out late at night and the door would shut hard and they would continue to talk loud (which is fine during the day but after 10 pm was getting a little old). Overall we enjoyed our stay. The train was completely booked so we didn’t get to utilize that but we were ok driving and probably got to see more that way anyway. The hotel is in walking distance to Route 66, which was convenient for food (we recommend station 66 over the other places we ate at on Route 66).

The property did not offer easy access to keep the upkeeping in the room. I called 1 day and said they only accept request before 9am to have beds made, towels replenished, and trashed dumped. 2nd day I called and they told me that they don’t accept requests on Wednesdays. My stay was 3 nights it would have been nice for this to come automatically. knowing I was going to be there for a long period. I had to empty trash on my own and request for new towels they they left hanging on the door

Awesome Hotel - can't say the same for the staff. The desk clerk (acne) lied to me on two things: The cost of the Jeff Harvey buffet "$20...". Not. It's 28 with tax = 31. Not cool. And - The $75 fee for incidentals "will fall off when you check out in the morning...". Not. Waiting for my $75 for 3 days now; probably won't see it til Monday - I hope. I must say we stayed there a month prior at the RV park in our motor home, received MUCH BETTER customer service there. Your desk clerks could learn a lot from those wonderful people. Again, great hotel; but apparently a front desk clerk who thinks it's ok to LIE to customers. See ya.

Wait time to check in was over an hour and I was nearly late to the polar express ride with my family.

Staff was very friendly helped me with some troubles I had with my booking. Clean and very nice hotel and pool and amenities. Overall would recommend 10/10

I cannot recommend this hotel for a family trip. Upon entering our room, it was evident that cleanliness was a major issue. There was a thick layer of dust throughout, including on the lamp and TV, and we found hairs on the pillow and inside the sheets. When I contacted the front desk, they offered to switch our room, but unfortunately, the new room was in equally unacceptable condition. I even spotted a pillow with blood stains while confirming details with the staff before moving our luggages. When I raised the issue of the blood-stained pillow, the staff handed it back to me and instructed me to leave it in the first room. This was completely inappropriate; it should have been their responsibility to remove it, and also not to put it back in the room. Throughout the night, the noise was unbearable. I was awakened by train horns 2-3 times and had to endure loud shouting and door slamming in the hallways. To make matters worse, the next morning at 10:20 AM, housekeeping knocked on our door while we were still in bed, despite check-out being at 11 AM. This felt like undue pressure to vacate. During check-out, the front desk clerk remarked that I was lucky housekeeping hadn’t knocked on my door at 8 AM because they had the right to do so. After a long day of driving, I expected a restful night, and this hotel failed to deliver on that front.

Everyone and I mean everyone was so kind and helpful and informative. Such a great time! Staff looks like they actually enjoy their job! Room was hecka clean too!

Stayed for two nights for Grand Canyon Train day trip. A fabulous experience - so easy, so well organised. Hotel staff so friendly and helpful.

Best hotel in Williams. Though it’s separated by a fence along the southern edge of the property along the railroad tracks, it was just a 5 minute walk to the historic Route 66 shops and restaurants. It was incredibly quiet with no trains operating at night. Clean, quiet and convenient. It was easy to pre-check in online and provide an estimated arrival time. I would highly recommend!

Overall very good. The buffet at the onsite restaurant (the only onsite option) seemed overpriced for what was being offered - $30 for a pretty limited selection.

GREAT location, feel, atmosphere, safety and ease of check in and out. Lovely experience. Continental breakfast should be included. You’re forced to spend 20.00 for a breakfast buffet next door that way over priced for what’s offered.

We came for the Polar Express Train Experience. We had decided at the last minute to stay at the hotel. Glad we did as it was easy for getting ready for the train and walking around afterwards. The worst part is I would NOT recommend the dinner at Fred Harvey. It was TERRIBLE!! We did get refunded. However this restaurant is NOT set up for the number of people they’re doing for the Polar Express. We bought the food tickets in September but they were allowing walk-ins. When we came in at 7:40pm they were out of most food. Salad bar was empty of food and plates. There were two lines for hot food. 1 line had 1 guy making individual pasta orders! My husband stood in line for 30 minutes for pasta. Gave up. Went back when the line went down. Waited 20 minutes again. Then cook said he had to leave for 5 minutes to wash pans. This is NOT how you serve the masses. The other hot food was gross. This was by far the worst restaurant experience we’ve had at a place. If you’re serving kids - most like pasta - you don’t have one person making individual pasta dishes!!! You make mass quantities of spaghetti. You’ve been doing this for years but it felt like this was the first weekend the restaurant was open. I don’t think Fred Harvey would have approved. Everything else about the stay was great.

Buffet was too expensive. Meats were very dry n cold. Rest of items were cold.

Our stay at the hotel was satisfactory, fulfilling our basic needs during our trip. We were primarily there to experience the breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon, and the train ride to get there was a fantastic choice, allowing us to take in the scenery along the way. The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with any questions we had. However, I must mention that the food offered at the hotel left much to be desired; it was disappointing and did not meet our expectations. For a better dining experience, I strongly recommend exploring the local restaurants in town, where you can enjoy a much wider variety of delicious options.

Super cute hotel. Staff was wonderful. The Harvey restaurant was over priced for a buffet, semi-decent food, but so not worth the price. Rooms were clean and comfy beds.

The staff was wonderful and the hotel was clean . The pub’s food on site was not good and over priced. We ordered a charcuterie board for $17 which was abysmal . There truly was not one thing we ordered both nights that was worth the money and it was incredibly expensive .

Food was terrible. Hot stuff cold... cold stuff warm. Straight out of the freezer to the plate... very bad for the $
