Motel 6 Barstow, CA - Mojave Desert Stop - I-15

I liked that the rooms were easy to access to, even without an elevator. The TV was functional, the bathtub was easy to get into, and the pool was nice and clean. Staff was also very friendly to its guests.

Has a huge lot for truck parking at the back. Well lit parking area felt very safe. Staff were very friendly, the room was clean and well maintained. For the price, this place a was exceptional.

Air conditioner was extremely loud. Definitely needed service. Would of been nice to take a relaxing swim, however the pool was out of service. No mention of this until check in.

The pool was unusable. Needed to be shocked and not used for at least 3 days. Could not see bottom nor steps going into water. Very green. Staff were great. Need coffee in rooms.

Great parkbg for big trucks and trailers

Great for a night's stay while passing through. Clean, friendly staff, nice pool, well kept property. The only inconvenience was my bathroom faucet was really hard to get hot or cold, you never knew what you were going to get when you turned it on. Walking distance to mcdonalds and starbucks.

Perfect place to park my commercial truck

The hotel room was large and clean. It was also in good shape. You would still feel clean in the bathroom after a shower. There is an elevator here. There is not a coffee in any rooms nor is there a hair dryer or Kleenex.

Very Basic, no Breakfast but has vending machines. No usb chargers in room, bring your own. Had an elevator, that is helpful for disabilities. Convenient location, many nearby restaurants.

Pool was closed when we arrived after confirming before I booked staff is rude they start knocking on your door at 9am and then by 11 if your not quite out they start calling then come to your door rediculoss

sorry but hair in the bath tub just is not great. All was very clean but the tub so that's the only bad thing about this motel. I do have to say, for a Motel 6 it was extremely good. Priced right, clean, (tub), . No shampoo or coffee in the room, very odd.

I had stayed one night me and my kids got bit by bed bugs seen bed bugs in bath tub after my child took a bath would not go again I can’t speak on all the rooms but that room definitely had bugs we all got bites would never go again room was clean people friend absolutely would never go again because of my experience

nice hotel area, nice room. Bathroom walls ceiling stained from water and possibly mold.

Front desk staff was friendly and polite. Riom had updated flooring and what looked to be a new paint job. There were e smoosed bug carcasses on the ceiling and the bathroom had mold. Beds had clean sheets bit the frames made a jarring squeak anytime you moved.

First of all I understand it it a motel 6. You get what you pay for right. So usually not expecting anything clean or nice BUT when I filtered very good hotel choices in Barstow California this came up. It was intriguing so I read reviews. Clean, excellent condition, service wonderful, safe, well lit area. There were MULTIPLE 10 reviews. I thought for a quick rest on our way to the beach why not, well I will tell you why not……. Check-in - most unfriendly person I have ever checked in with. As we were walking in she says I am going on break and sat out front scrolling and smoking while we waited. I understand everyone deserves a break but when she came back it was less then 2 min as she handed me a key as she was snarling at me and told me to park in back. As we drive around it was super sketchy and scary so we drove back around front . Which was nice and lights and by the way looks well taken care of from the outside. The inside was a different story . As we walked in the bed looked like it had already been slept in, hair and yellow stuff in sheets. Walls were gross, filthy and there were roaches in the bathroom. The shower dripped so loud you could hear it from the bedroom. And the mattresses were so hard. DO NOT STAY HERE it was a hotel from HELL!!

The room was dirty and had hair in the bathroom and near the beds. Does not look like it was actually cleaned.

For the price an absolute steal. Clean, neat, quiet, updated rooms, etc.

Not bad for a lower priced stay. The environment was pretty quiet, the heater worked, and the shower was good. we all slept well. There are odd aluminum covers around the legs of the bed. They sound like the old metal filing cabinets. There are only sheets and 2 skimpy pillows on each queen size bed, no comforters. But the sparseness was not important to us. Nobody familiar with Motel 6 expects lush accommodations anyway. Would have been nice if the check-in guy mentioned that there is an elevator since out 2 rooms were on the 3rd floor. Fortunately i asked a friendly guest and she knew the answer.

+ Refrigerator and AC are silent - Noisy environment, no soundproofing of the door

Its fine. Lots of heavy equipment going in and out of the parking lot earlier than I wanted to be awake, not sure how common that is, but it showed how inadequate their sound mitigation is. The room has ok. Not very comfortable bed and not enough pillows, but that is par for the course for most places. Nowhere to sit other than the bed and a rickety office chair, that was the worst part. They should add an arm chair of some kind, there was plenty of room for one.

Only thing is beds are hard. You can feel the springs. And pillows feel like folded sheets. Super flat. Other than that pretty good. Surprised there was a mini fridge.

The staff were professional and kind. The pool area and grass was clean and well kept. The room was fairly clean and the bedsheets were washed. My issue would be that the walls and floor were very paper thin, I was woken up in the middle of the night by two guests arguing loudly on the floor above me. Also the room above was extremely loud the entire night, we could hear their footsteps stomping throughout their room. For only needing to stay one night just to get some rest, it was decent.

Horrible experience with the Roxann extremely rude . Poor communication skills . Not friendly made the booking process extremely difficult for no reason .

When I arrived the receptionist was outside talking on the phone. I went inside and she came in continuing to talk on the phone. It was at least 5 min before she acknowledged me. Was not greeted warmly just ask for id. Asked how many beds. 😳 only one of me. Told me how much by showing me on a

Checkin was not manned for half an hour, then the staff was abrupt and most unhelpful, just waving her hand saying the room was around the corner and I had to drive all around the complex to find it.

Staff on reception not very helpful at all

Great front desk staff that was helpful and friendly. Room was clean and adequate. Not the best family motel option with groups of people smoking weed and drinking in common areas and stairwells plus various other people parked in cars out front and hanging around the front parking lot that didn’t seem to be guests. Smoking is permitted everywhere. I personally like that as a smoker but it may bother some as there are ashtrays in front of some rooms and people may be standing outside your door and window smoking. Tons of food close by and room had microwave and fridge. For $60/$70 it’s a lot better than a lot of other places in its price range.

This motel was sold out every night because of the value. Contractors with expensive trucks with expensive tools parked here with no problem. Clean rooms, easy on/off, several very cheap gas stations, and the Outlet Mall just down the road. Check out Maria's Mexican across the street in the Truck Wash (it's the only non-chain in the area). Otherwise, head to I-15 & East Main to Southern Twistt for the Best BBQ Soul Food.

Property hard to find if not coming on I15. Very reasonable, room fine, property OK, location excellent. I would come here again.

Arrived, Motel 6, Barstow Stayed 3-13-24 to 3-14-24 Decent enough for a bargain price. Don’t expect a lot of amenities that more expensive hotels have though. This is a motel after all, offering the basics, which is fine for the price. NOTE: if you like Black Bear Diner, be sure to look for it directly across the street once you’re at traffic signal, after you leave the motel area. Great service and good food. If you’ve never been there, beware, the portions are HUGE! And the biscuits are practically the size of a small cake! One breakfast plate is definitely shareable. PROS - When I first got here, I thought there was urine drops on the toilet seat. Called the front office and they sent House Cleaning up right away. Turns out it was just part of the cleaning solution that the cleaner did not notice. - Clean king-sized bed with the mattress completely enclosed in a zippered mattress protector, and then another mattress protector (like a fitted sheet) on top of that. - Checked for bedbugs, all clear. - Microwave oven - Mini refrigerator - Standard TV - Luggage rack CONS - No electrical outlets by the bed - Long bathroom vanity, however, only one sink instead of two. - noisy heater/AC combo - No Kleenex - no ironing board/iron - Teeny tiny bars of soap (so less waste) - very near freeway, noisy traffic, at least my room was.

Needed a room overnight and this one fit the bill and budget. It was rated better than some of the other places in the area at the price point. It was clean and comfortable. Coffee available in the lobby.
