Nice motel, we had a nice room, fireplace, air conditioning, ceiling fan two portable fans, kitchenet, microwave, coffee maker, small fridge, ice a short walk away on property, there is also a heated pool on property with towels provided. We will return for another stay

Pool was shut down for 2 out of our 4 days in 95 degrees. I only rented here because of the pool. The minute the pool was shut down manager put up sign for no refunds or discounts. Really disappointed, very crappy customer service over a holiday weekend and we paid a lot of money because it was a holiday.

My granddaughter & I had a wonderful time staying there. The rooms were spacious & clean. We had everything we needed & more. We even used the pool. It's in a great location. We'll definitely stay here again.

The location is perfect and walking distance to the lake/marina as well as the village restaurants and bars; the check in staff was great; the pool was clean and heated and the room was clean, but not large; of course if you are in Big Bear you are hopefully out and about and not staying inside.

They could’ve done a better job dusting and sweeping. The pool was very nice. The amenities were very nice. Really great view from the balcony. Really close proximity to shops and downtown.

Well placed to shopping and restaurants. Our room’s (#21) wall heater was a bit noisy. Aside from the normal metal expansion/ contracting of the heater, there was this lingering pinging noise that lasted thirty minutes or more. Staff apologized and assured it would be look into. Pool was closed for the season but looked very clean.

We had not stayed at this lodge for several years, but for a special occasion we wanted a lake view, fireplace, hot tub and mini-kitchen area. This room delivered all of that and more! It was immaculately clean and offered air conditioning, plus there was a nice pet area close to our room. It is on the main drag of Big Bear and backs up to a lovely neighborhood for those evening walks. Unfortunately, we found out when we arrived that the pool was closed, which was a disappointment. The staff was helpful but there was a bit of a language barrier on check in.

The location was great as far as close to The Village and the lake. The room we stayed in was very cute and had potential for being very cozy and comforting for a weekend stay. We did think it could definitely use some updating and paying attention to details as far as maintenance and cleaning. Had an odor of old and musky. We did see some areas that could have possibly been previous water damage and incomplete repair work, such as covering around pipe fixtures on the walls in the restroom. What appeared to have been a moldy, could have been stained wood, old medicine cabinet in the restroom that didn’t close all of the way. Unmopped floors in the kitchen area. I will say there wasn’t anything that was absolutely disgusting, just saw the aging and use over the years that by investing some time in would make it absolutely adorable and comfortable. The walls in the bedroom are very thin and could easily hear everything happening in the room nextdoor. Sounded like they were rearranging the entire room several times and burning their food up until about 1 in the morning. I think I would come back if the place was revamped with new carpet and the maintenance details were addressed.

Wonderful location for lodge, room was nice, and staff was pleasant. Fireplace was not functioning, bathroom was dirty and had mold on the ceiling, multiple areas were “patched up” but had not been repainted, missing curtain rod hangers for shower curtain.

Stayed in a Family Chalet room. It felt roomy and had a kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, cups, plates, etc. it delivers a cabin experience, which my family enjoys. Many guests (including us) had dogs. Not a great value for what we paid, but then it was a holiday weekend.

The rooms were nice with lake view! They had in the suite all kitchen utensils, pots, glasses, etc. The only compliant was no lights on balcony first night, but hotel staff helped fix and hair dryer was broken, however, was replaced. Great lodge:)

I really really wanted to love this place but it just kept getting worse. When we arrived check in was smooth. We confirm with the clerk that the pools were heated, however, that was a lie. Our room was super small. The beds were not queen bed but full beds. The water in the shower linger and wouldn’t go down. The room is cute but falling apart and smells old. Tiny little TV…. Bathroom beyond small. Never again .

The room was cozy, it had a nice mini fridge and microwave. They have wide shower heads so the shower was good. It feels more like an actual bedroom rather than a hotel room which is nice. The door also had a really pretty stained glass panel, it felt like a mini cottage almost. However, we had a lot of issues. We booked a fireplace room and the fireplace worked for about 20 minutes before getting blocked. We also got locked out of the room due to the lock running out of battery and my boyfriend had to wait outside our room in the snow (at night) while I had to wait for one of the owners to help me. He was able to change the locks battery and get the fireplace to work, but like I said it only worked for about 20 minutes due to the gas being blocked which sucked. It was pretty close to the village which was good but it was snowing so we couldn't walk there. I imagine it's doable as it's only a few blocks. The bowling ally is also right across the street and there are family suites so it would probably be better for a family to go. It wasn't noisy except for some type of work going on at 10 PM that was rattling the walls. I thought it was the neighbor banging on the walls or slamming a drawer but in the morning we saw someone working on the property and they were making the same sounds. The walls are also paper thin, we could hear our neighbors talking.

Great place right on the lake, very cozy feeling cabin with a real wood fireplace that was great for making s'mores with the kids and plenty of space. enjoyed the balcony with the view over the lake with the morning cup of coffee. The full kitchen was nice so that we could cook our own breakfast and get to the mountains early without having to find food on the way out for the day.

For the price this is a great place! Could use some exterior renovations but the interior is nice and cozy! Clean, comfortable and a solid location is what matters! I will be coming back! Front desk was awesome too! Very friendly!

If you get the right room it's a nice place to stay. I got a small room with a fire place for a 3 day stay. The last night One of the units in the back was having some kind of party with loud music. At 10:30 I went and found Sunny the owner/manager who took care of it right away. I will come back next ski season.

The location is perfect and walking distance to the lake/marina as well as the village restaurants and bars; the check in staff was great; the pool was clean and heated and the room was clean, but not large; of course if you are in Big Bear you are hopefully out and about and not staying inside.

The location was great as far as close to The Village and the lake. The room we stayed in was very cute and had potential for being very cozy and comforting for a weekend stay. We did think it could definitely use some updating and paying attention to details as far as maintenance and cleaning. Had an odor of old and musky. We did see some areas that could have possibly been previous water damage and incomplete repair work, such as covering around pipe fixtures on the walls in the restroom. What appeared to have been a moldy, could have been stained wood, old medicine cabinet in the restroom that didn’t close all of the way. Unmopped floors in the kitchen area. I will say there wasn’t anything that was absolutely disgusting, just saw the aging and use over the years that by investing some time in would make it absolutely adorable and comfortable. The walls in the bedroom are very thin and could easily hear everything happening in the room nextdoor. Sounded like they were rearranging the entire room several times and burning their food up until about 1 in the morning. I think I would come back if the place was revamped with new carpet and the maintenance details were addressed.

We had one of the spa suite rooms and it was really nice. Pretty much 2 rooms combined and a back patio which was really great for our dogs. Lucky for us we were able to even check in early (around 1:30-2pm) which I greatly appreciated and 11am checkout time is amazing to me as well because usually anywhere else is 10am and I’m calling asking for late checkout lol. I did absolutely appreciate and loveee the fact the spa suite room is dog friendly. We love to travel with our dogs and not all the time are pets allowed in every room so being able to reserve the room we want and accommodate our dogs was great. The spa tub worked great very big and pretty deep, all jets work, clean, and right next to a lil fire. The tv is on a swivel tables too so you can watch it while you’re in the tub. Super close to the village too. Literally like a 5-10 minute walk. 4 burner stove. Mini fridge that got so cold my drinks got kinda slushy. A few pots and pans, as well as plates bowls silverware were in the room too with dish soap and a sponge. Everything for us to make an amazing dinner and breakfast. 10/10 will be coming to stay here whenever we go to Big Bear from now on.

The facility has the honestly earned character of a motel built before 1950. Our room had a gas fireplace that worked after the Manager came to our room to relight the pilot light. The motel is in need better maintenance or restoration, but is livable as it is. The location is excellent, close to the lake and to downtown shops and very good restaurants. We chose the place because it was interesting, conveniently located, and inexpensive rather than shiny and new, so we were happy with our stay.

Great place right on the lake, very cozy feeling cabin with a real wood fireplace that was great for making s'mores with the kids and plenty of space. enjoyed the balcony with the view over the lake with the morning cup of coffee. The full kitchen was nice so that we could cook our own breakfast and get to the mountains early without having to find food on the way out for the day.

We ended our stay a day earlier than planned without any refund, because we could not stay another night due to the noise, cleanliness and lack of air conditioning in the bedroom. With the grounds around the hotel being like a campground there was always dirt getting into the room. The owners must live in one of the attached chalets to the room we rented and each evening close to midnight they would be banging around, cooking and speaking very loudly. The connecting walls of the rooms must be paper-thin with how loud they were, we had trouble sleeping. There is a small AC wall unit in the front living room area but it did not move the air into the bedroom so it was miserably hot when trying to sleep. Opening the windows was not an option due to the loud noise outside and the neighbors/owners having all their doors and windows open and being so loud.

Staff was great in accommodating my request to stay an extra night. AC was great, heat was great, fridge and TV also great. I did not use internet, (I did not intend to) was a nice pleasant escape. Most things I was interested in were within walking distance. Pool was clean and deep, most places don't have deep pools anymore. SPECIAL call out to the guy who checked me in, I did not get his name. The property does need some TLC, and cleanup, but nothing which would prevent me from visiting again, probably soon.
