Robinhood Resort

The property was in the perfect location. We walked right into the village and were only a few miles away from good hiking trails. We also went to the hotels restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The food and the staff were great!! Will definitely be staying here again next time we are in Big Bear!

It’s all about location with Robinhood. If you value being right in the village, don’t want to spend a lot and can overlook outdated rooms then this is your spot. The downside for us was you have to open windows to get air circulation there. Summers in SoCal can get warm - even in Big Bear. There are no AC units in any of the rooms. And being right in the village means you will hear every single loud vehicle and drunk idiot. We are not heavy sleepers so this was challenging for us.

Easy and fast check in. Room is old but fine. Would like restaurant to be open begorev9 am.

They advertise air conditioning rooms, manager said the ac dont work untill july, wouldn't stay here again

Very comfortable room, super amazing location, great size, The only bad thing i could say is that wiffi never worked in our room, But overall excellent.

Great place but our room had NO A/C! Found out later you have to pay for a premium room to get A\C. Hard to sleep - too warm in room

I had the spa room across the street. #24.. kinda disappointed. My room had ants and I think I killed 100+ ants.. from around the refrigerator, table, coffee table & floor… I’d kill them with a wet paper towel and they would come back eventually. Another thing is the WIFI didn’t work.. for the price, you would think WIFI would work but it never worked during my 2 nights. This infestation of ants & the WiFi were the only issues I had.

Very conveniently located on the edge of big bear village. Very convenient for a weekend ski trip. It was clean. It’s a very basic hote so keep in mind no room service or concierge‘s etc. I did feel like the beds were a little hard but it’s fine for one night and I would definitely stay there again. Also, the restaurant across the way that they give you the 10% coupon for is very good for dinner.

Convenient location but you have to upgrade to get AC which is kinda bs.

One night stay in jacuzzi room with fireplace, nicely decorated, clean, comfortable. We had a lot of snowboard gear, we liked easy the access to the room from parking lot. Great location.

Location was perfect! However, I wouldn't stay again. The table in the room was all sticky, the bathroom had mold on the ceiling, took 15 minutes to get hot water, the screen window was not lockable, the screen window was ripped, and the tv as was small (maybe 24"). Now for the good things - the bed was comfortable, and the location was perfectly located close to everything so we didn't have to worry about parking because everything we wanted was within walking distance.

They gave is room 18, we walked in and it had a musty/ old sweaty smell.. next to a dirty old staircase. We immediately requested a new room, this room should not be something you want people to stay in. The man at the front was very nice and didnt hesitate to switch us to a better, bigger room downstairs. Wouldnt stay in the main building again, very old .

Great location. Easy to walk to the and the village. The room had an odd, stuffy odor. There was mold in the bathroom, took forever to get hot water in the sink. The lighting in the room was very poor. No services during the entire stay (trash in the room built up).

Very clean resort. Check in was super easy, parking was plentiful and the room looked like it has been remodeled with newer carpet. Walking distance to the entire village. Very convenient…

The staff was lovely and I loved the 2pm late check out. I loved the room and it was clean, but the beds were dreadfully firm.

We liked that the hotel is on the corner and very close to many restaurants and the snow lifts. We loved the view of big bear lake. We booked two rooms; both were clean, spacious and cozy.

The rooms are really outdated. I feel like I’m in the 80s.

Right at the village entrance. Rooms are ok but just not what I'm used to. Nice layout and very spacious (premium rooms), but could use some updates.

Spotty Internet connection and unable to watch YT videos due the slow speed once connected. A/C in room didnt seem to cool down room on lowest temp setting ( 68deg ) with all doors and windows closed.

The highlight was how nice the man was who checked us in. He was awesome. Everything else tho.... If you stay here, i highly recommend you ask for a 2nd floor room. We went up to Big Bear get out of the city for NYE - looking forward to getting good sleep and no fireworks. Whomever was above us did not sleep at all. They were up pacing and stomping on the floor all night until they left at 10am. Their thuds echoed in the room all night...all morning...it was miserable. We heard the shower, the toilet, and more pacing thuds. There was also water damage from the bathroom upstais in our bathroom as the paint was peeled off the ceiling and it was bowing. There was no light in the shower so we had to shower in the dark - not burnt out, there was no light fixture in the shower for light and the shower was behind a wall so very little light came in from the bathroom. We also ate at the restaurant on property. The staff seemed very bothered we were there and we sat and sat and sat waiting for service. Their website said they had normal menu but when we sat down they said no. I showed the page and got the response "i dont know what to tell you." If we would have known, we 100% would have gone somwhere else. For the amount we paid for this room, we really expected more.

Room (#37) was large and very nice. Hotel is in a good location at village. However the deficit is the room’s position next to the main boulevard running through the area so one hears traffic early morning to later evening.

Definitely on the older side and could use some updating, especially with soundproofing between floors (you can hear every footstep in the room above), but location was phenomenal (literally at the start of the village shops area), restaurant on site had some great food and pre-dinner prices weren't too bad. We'd stay here again if we're looking for a low-cost close to the village option.

Easy check in and check out. Although very dated decor it was clean and in a good area. We had a downstairs room and could hear every step taken in the room above us. It was for one night only so worked.

I appreciated the front desk gentleman who quickly switched our room to ground floor without us even asking as he could see I was disabled. We had him on a prior trip as well and he is very kind! The room needed renovation but cozy. Bed reminded me of jello and i have severe sciatica so likely works well on someone else. Shower scary as I had nowhere to hold on or sit and I cannot stand very long. It worked fine for my hubby though and nice warm water. Nice snipet view of the lake from the front door. Greatfood and service at their onsite restaurant!!!

Really helpful and friendly staff on the front desk, who helped us extend our stay at extremely short notice. Room was clean, quiet, and very convenient in terms of parking and local amenities.

Staff was very friendly. Check in process was seamless and quick. Location is amazing. Parking was free. Very happy with our stay.

Had yet another great experience at this hotel. The staff were amazing by accommodating our last minute request to get an accessible room. They switched both our rooms to make sure we have the best experience possible. I really appreciated their help.

Front desk was very accommodating to quickly get us into a better room when the shower did not drain. Joe was responsive and understanding and set us up nicely in a bigger space. Location is terrific, right next to the Village and quick access to BB Boulevard to get to ski parking. Would definitely stay again

The location is perfect, everything was walking distance. There was a power outage beyond the hotel’s control, and I requested to do an early check out, and a refund. Hotel staff agreed, but I’ve not been contacted. I was told that they would process when the power goes back on. As of today, nothing from them yet.

I was very grateful for the gentleman who was at the front desk. I visited him several times with questions about dining, bus transportation and general big bear area questions. He had all the answers and it really made my stay much easier.

A fun room. Enjoyed the spa. Only negetive was breakfast was not served until 11a.m.
