This hotel is a quick and convenient walk to Legoland. The rooms are a great size for groups or larger families. The underground parking is easy to use and spa and pool were nice way to end the day. There was a weekly activity schedule if you wish to partake, but we did not. We visited the Karl Strauss restaurant on site and the food and drinks were fantastic. This hotel is dated and they have made attempts to update it, but the carpet in the bedrooms really needs replacing as it’s very worn down and dirty. I also found hair in several places in the bathroom from previous guests which grossed me out. We also had guests in the room above us who we could hear walking around several times so the sound insulation was not the best.

Elevators were broken which made our stay exceptionally hard with my mother who's handicap. We were told by staff upon arrival at least it's the 2nd floor and not the 3rd! How does that help someone who's disabled? That's 2 flights of stairs we had to basically carry her up! We even paid more for an ADA room and this hotel is not convenient for anyone with disabilities. We even got a complaint from someone staying underneath us 5 minutes upon oir arrival that my kids were walking too loudly! Our trip was not pleasant from the minute we got there and we will no longer be staying here in the future.

The overall facility in the common areas (not including the lobby) is a bit dated. The condo rooms were nice. Though the couch was a bit hard to sit on for a long period. Everything else was fine. The elevator situation was bad. Most people using one elevator shaft since another was out of service. And it appears it is a prolonged outage. - they built a bridge to accommodate it. Wish breakfast was included. The price you pay it should be good but it’s on par with free breakfast at holiday inn… my kids likes the splash pad, the activity room and arcade. Though the fire alarms got old.

Fire alarm wouldn’t stop going off at property after they had a fire in the activity room the day we checked in. One of the two elevators was shut down and they put us in the furthest room possible from the work elevator. Mind you this all happened while we were waiting for 2+ hours after check in time for our room to be ready with zero perks or comps for the troubles. The only reason I’d ever stay here again is for it’s proximity to Legoland.

We loved this resort! We chose it because we did LegoLand for my sons third birthday and it was a blast, the resort is a very short walk to the theme park, they had 2 pools, a hot tub, basketball court, arcade, and so much more!! The staff was super nice and accommodating, we asked for an early check in about a week before our stay, they told us they couldn’t promise anything but that whenever we arrived they would give us a key card to do whatever we wanted in the hotel! And it didn’t matter anyways because we arrived around 2:45pm and our room was ready! The elevator in the villa we were staying in was out of order, which was a pain since we were on the top floor and staying 5 nights so we had quite a bit of luggage but they did wave our resort fee due to the inconvenience so that was very nice. The only thing I would say would be my complaint is only having one smoking section, and it being completely on the other side of the resort from where we were staying, but other than that we had an amazing time and would definitely book again!

The elevator where our room was was out of service. A bit inconvenience with two little ones and the stuff we brough along but otherwise great location to the family pool and local shopping. Their activity center /game room was just enough entertainment for our kiddos (4 and 1)! would definitely come back. rooms are clean and spacious!

This is my third or fourth time staying at this resort my family and I have always significantly enjoyed our stay here. Property is beautiful to say the least. However, on this particular stay, we were on a ground floor level room unfortunately during our stay, we have limited use of our patio due to the fact that every time we were out there, there was cockroaches and spiders one night My Man counted over 15 cockroaches on our patio. I cannot stay on cockroaches, and these things spread like wildfire. Needless to say on the second day of our trip when I went to get in the shower, there was a cockroach in the shower meaning that they are inside when I called the front desk letting them know I requested a new room because I do not want cockroaches coming home in my bags or anything like that. Unfortunately they didn’t have any rooms available because they were at full capacity she offered to send out maintenance to take a look at the infestation. I let her know I’m not comfortable with them spraying while we are on the site. Aside from that no additional help was offered not even a discount off of our stay so I ended up paying over $1400 for three nights to stay in a cockroach infested property.

We had a really bad experience here, sink toilet blocked, elevator not working that made our checkout really hard carrying everything through the stairs. We saw multiple mice or rats dropping in the kitchen. We reported it, it was cleaned and the next morning we saw even more. Management was really poor dealing with this, it is very frustrating to have to deal with this while traveling with your baby, last night we couldn’t sleep thinking about about and if they were going to enter the room or our beds.

Pool was nice, property was quiet, walking distance to Lego land, friendly staffs. Possible rodent in room (food left out on kitchen counter was found bit into when return to room), obvious stains on chairs and sofa (needed to cover with towels before sitting). Water pressure can be a bit stronger (didn’t feel completely clean even after showers). BIGGEST COMPLAINT OF PROPERTY: I FOUND IT VERY RUDE TO RECEIVED A TEXT MESSAGE AFTER CHECKING OUT TO BE TOLD TO DO THINGS SUCH AS BEGGING TRASH AND OTHER CHORES ON THE NEXT VISIT!! A COMPLETE TURN OFF AND WILL REALLY RECONSIDER STAYING THERE AGAIN IN THE FUTURE 😡😡😡😡

Great oasis that felt like we were at a private resort by ourselves even though there were others at the resort. The grounds are beautifully kept and the resort had nice walking paths to enjoy. Great views of the ocean in the distance. Great quiet feel.

We will be back! Beautiful grounds! Room was spacious (we got the 2 bedroom suite) but there was plant soil or something like it left on top of one of the nightstand tables! Otherwise a pleasant trip.

We got a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo. Was perfect for our family of 2 kids, mom, dad and grandma. Only complaint is the king bed mattress is rock hard like OMG sleeping on the floor would have been softer. The kids beds were nice memory foam and comfy. Even the pull out sofa was more comfortable. But the pool, and kids splash pad area are nice. Would stay here again.

Our suite was spacious, but in poor condition. This hotel looks lovely from the photos, but in person it was just okay. We possibly had one of the worst rooms available, right next to the noisy lobby, and the kitchen hadn't been updated like the other rooms. We had to call to get a drawer repaired that wouldn't open, and one of the bathroom doors wouldn't open properly. There was a small arcade for the kids, but the machines were quite dated. Our view from our room was looking right out at the adults' pool, which was noisy at night and not private at all, so we had to keep our blinds closed the whole time. On the plus side, it was an easy walk to Legoland and the BBQs came in handy for grilling a quick dinner. We didn't try the pool because it was a bit too cold during our stay. Not the worst hotel, but for the price we paid, I'd definitely stay somewhere else next time.

Had a great gentleman check us in. The woman who worked the register on the right side should probably not be your customer service person. Checked all the boxes but condescending and rude with a smile. Bothered I was asking questions and hoping to pass me off anywhere where possible. Loved the room, amenities and all else. She took up head space on a family trip for a bit and that was annoying.

We were met with a warm welcome from Naz at the Front Desk. We were also able to get an early check-in. Rooms were clean. Our tub got clogged but maintenance was swift and fixed our issue immediately. We went to Lego land which was only 3 mins away. The Karl Strauss Restaurant was within walking distance and food was great. Definitely recommend and will be back.

Definitely family friendly, clean and plenty of pillows. My only complaint is my room wasn’t ready at check-in. Check in is 5pm and room wasn’t ready until almost 5:30pm. Plenty of things to do for the kids, walking distance to LEGOLAND.

This property was in a great location. It was within walking distance to Legoland, and it was very spacious. The beach was a short drive away. The only issue we had was the elevator broke, and I had to make 3 trips to the car with my luggage down the stairs.

This was the perfect location for our trip to Legoland and the Music Museum. We loved the city of Carlsbad and drove to meals at the beach only a 10 min drive away. We also went to the market and it was very close. We walked to Legoland. The room was large, the kitchen fully equipped and the facility (pools, resort) was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel.

check in was amazing, we were able to check in before going to Legoland. This is our third time staying here and the front desk staff is always very nice and accommodating. My only complaint is the breakfast food was cold and the server was a little overwhelmed.

This was my daughter’s 7th birthday weekend and I chose these hotel because it was the closest walk to legoland. On maps it said it was a 7 minute walk but it is literally across the street and there is an access door, so in reality it was more like 4 minutes. I had seen pictures online but they didn’t do this resort the justice it deserved. It is incredible with beautiful views. The staff is amazing and so eager to help with anything needed. We arrived at 11am and check in wasn’t till 4. I didn’t plan on checking in but wanted to ask front desk if we could park there so we could just walk to legoland and to my surprise the girl said a room was ready and we could check in (5 hours early). The property and rooms were incredibly clean, heated pools, kids water pad, arcade, ping pong, bbq grills, well stock lobby bar, dvds, game boards, fire pits, gym, and I know I am missing so many other things, but as a father and husband, I strongly recommend. I have definitely found a resort that I am looking forward to returning.

Unfortunately there was not room service, They charged me a resort fee of $38.00 when i checked in. I then asked about a spa or massage area and was informed they dont have one. I asked about the resort fee and the front desk person said" we have heated pools. So staying there was over 300.00 for I night. Not happy..
