First time staying there in years for the price of the room it was good and clean fit for the living situation I found myself in this past weekend. A couple of things... The parking ticket at $25 a day without any security or coverage, notice signs everywhere saying not responsible for damage or stolen items to cars, pretty expensive and not secure when I could have parked across the street for $10 dollars at Bay Street and have coverage. I did feel at check in the front desk person was either stressed or being way too personal. As I was tired and need of rest and quiet, they came in said off the bat no parties, you need fill out all these papers right away and we need a deposit asap. Asked me if I had stayed here before and said it was long time ago before Sonesta, he said in joking matter, yeah all those ones sucked before and you can get out if you have any issue. I know the area in Emeryville can be a little dicey at time, understood some concern but that guy was way too much. Noticed I had received an email about an upgrade showed it to them and he said they already gave it to me without telling me first or offering anything additional. Afterwards was fine, the room was a good clean fit for the 2 nights I was there. Maid service was great for the inbetween the night change over. If needing to stay again in the area I'd probably choose a room at a good price but park at Bay Street.
