It is a historic hotel in a great location. Some things about the hotel are quirky and not very modern but if you like the location, charm and very nice staff, it is a great place to stay. Rooftop bar is wonderful- great views and well-made drinks

The rooms were pretty small and basic. Didn’t have any type of window privacy in the bathroom. They don’t have typical air-conditioning but they have a portable one in the room and it seemed to keep the room pretty comfortable during our 86° weekend. I didn’t use any of the resort accommodations but did take advantage of their coffee and pastries on the last morning since I didn’t know about it when I first checked in. My biggest concern was the first room they gave me did not allow any of the windows to close since the cranks were all broken. I was concerned about how I was going to sleep that night due to the air conditioner fighting with the open windows. Turned out I had a toilet that wouldn’t stop flushing and that force them to put me in a different room. Second room was much better. I did check out the rooftop and it was very nice lovely views too. Did not have any food or drink up there. The other inconvenience is the parking you have to drag your suitcase across the street since they don’t really have parking right at the hotel.

I had a problem with bathroom sink faucet. In order to turn it on there is a lever to lift up but any attempt to do it lift the whole thing up. Perhaps the valve is old and clogged with hard water so turning it on so so hard that it caused separation of the faucet from the countertop. So this part need a serious maintenance. But I slept well and the bed is comfortable

Wonderful hotel for the price.Laguna is very pricey and this hotel was a good value. Beach was close by down the stairs. Felix very helpful at the front desk. I would definitely go back. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Room was small but clean. Rooftop restaurant was fantastic with beautiful view of the ocean and sunset. All in all wonderful stay.

You’re paying for the location. Our bathroom was an accident waiting to happen. Mgmt should really look into adding a grab bar in the bathroom and it can use some room upgrades. Location is very convenient with trollleys available to lots of places
