Great value. A bit noisy as it is on PCH. No pool or gym. But great location. Very charming and rooms well appointed. Comfy bed and soft thick towels. Water pressure awesome and water hot. Got complimentary wine and cheese delivered to room upon checkin.

My second stay here. Great location, wonderful staff and amazing value. Clean, comfortable with cute common space for coffee snd continental breakfast. Rooms are European size— comfortable size but not huge. Second floor rooms have balconies with great ocean views. Close to the beach with on-site parking and views. Pet friendly.

I realize that many hotels in Laguna Beach are old motels that have been converted over. That’s fine. I also realize that the area is popular and which high demand, lodging will be pricy. Also fine. But the room smelled absolutely awful, almost like a port-a-potty. We eventually realized the smell came from the heating unit. Which thankfully worked because our first room didn’t have a working heater. We were given a space heater and were expected to make that work. It did not work. So we eventually asked to move rooms. Room itself is fine. Small and Spartan. No soap dish in the bathroom or in the shower, which was a bit odd. Had a $55/night pet fee, which, sure, ok. But they required vaccination records for the dog, which I’ve never seen before. They also sent me no fewer than 10 emails leading up to the weekend trying to get me to buy a Valentine’s Day package for anywhere from $75 to $150 for rose petals in the room and a bottle of wine. Yeah, no thanks. Cable TV didn’t work well. Had to reboot the cable box every time we wanted to use it. Location is great and the front desk staff were nice enough. Had books in the lobby you could borrow. Plenty of parking at no charge. Overall a solid 3 out of 5. If they ditch the stench, might teeter on being worth $1,000 for a weekend.

Not a great stay, but not terrible either. The room was still a bit dirty in my opinion. Floor was a bit sticky and socks quickly became brown/black from walking on the floor. Construction going on right outside the back window so that’s something to be aware of. Not bad, but I’d probably look elsewhere for the price point.

The hotel is just ok. Complaint about mosquitoes and gnats in my room were met with a shrug by staff. Nice view of parking lots out front and back windows. Street noise. For mid $300s it should have been nicer and better service. Room was more or less as clean as I’d expect from a motel.

We had a great stay at Laguna Cove. The room (104) was clean and good enough for my son and I. The bottom floors have minimal to no view of the ocean, and the top rooms are ocean view. The front desk lady was nice when we checked in at 430ish, and the lady that worked the morning front desk shift was nice and attentive to our needs. I'm always wary of going to hotels because of bed bugs and dust, but this room was very comfortable and clean. You get the bang for your buck. It's close to many places and one minute walk to the beach. Highly recommend if you're not looking to spend much as the other hotels in the area (Laguna Sands).

Looks so much bigger in the pictures. It’s a cozy small stay. Our Beach view was behind a construction site on the property behind of the hotel. The bathroom was pretty small and the sink water pressure was super slow. Also the walls are super thin we were hearing our next door neighbors til 3:00 am, we couldn’t notify anyone because the desk person isn’t available after a certain time at night.

The location of the hotel was perfect, with a stunning ocean view. The staff was very helpful, professional and friendly. We had a king ocean view room. The room was spacious, but quite outdated. The bed was not a full king, but that wasn't an issue. The rooms are not very well insulated, so it can be noisy. They have ear plugs in the room, so that wasn't a great sign. It wasn't very bad, apart from a few drunken guests arguing outside our door in the middle of the night... Overall it's an okay hotel, but considering what we paid (tax and fees included, more than $450 a night), it was disproportionate. Iwoute expect a more upgraded bathroom and much less noise. I don't think we'll stay here again.

Check was great - staff was lovely. The room was very spacious, minus the bathroom, which was very small and in need of some maintenance. The pebble shower floor was falling apart and the window wasn’t working well. Cute kitchenette, spacious bed, great balcony. Flooring in the suite was coming apart. Major lack of lighting but luckily we weren’t in the room a ton. When we were, we spent a lot of time on the balcony listening to the ocean. Very cute place. I recommend the jr suite!

Beach view from our tiny bathroom window over construction. Room was ok- very small. The floor didn’t feel like it had’nt been swept for a while . The bathroom was also very small, no place to put toiletries. The shower door was so small I could barely get in and I’m not a big person. Very little hot water, it was lukewarm at best. Bed and pillows were ok. No breakfast provided, just coffee and tea.

The location is excellent. However, even after upgrading to an 'ocean view' room, you can only see a bit of the ocean because there is a row of houses in front of the hotel, so you have to look over them. The walls are very thin and amenities limited. They could certainly benefit from making a large carafe of coffee in the morning instead of setting up 5 keurigs. But you can walk down to the beach in minutes.

AC would not turn on, asked for maintenance but no one ever came. Slept in a hot room 2 nights. The coffee maker in reception area didn't work, staff didn't how to work it either. Cute hotel from the outside & great location for dinning and shopping though

We checked in and the check in was less than fun. The front desk person was not personable. I expected to pay a security fee. This staff member let us know that the fee was in case we stole anything. That was not how he explained that fee to the two separate people who checked in ahead of us. The housekeeping staff were very kind and helpful. I liked the plants around the property they made the place very pretty. The room was what I expected but the shower was very small. Unfortunately the bathroom had an ant problem. We did not do breakfast the first day and we checked to see what time breakfast was as we weren’t told when we checked in. We were told it went till 11am. The following day we decided to go down and get something and all they had was coffee and yogurt. The bed had a pillow top but the mattress felt too hard. We were also disappointed that there was no elevator. We are older and the stairs were manageable but it was hard with luggage Overall this was an okay place to stay but I think we will choose someplace different in the future.

My family and I (myself, my husband and our 4 year old) booked the seaside inn for a night for a little staycation. From the moment we walked in to the room it was not a great experience. Rooms are completely outdated and dirty but what really made the experience awful was the guest next door that were screaming and blasting music and I mean blasting… at 11pm. The front office was closed and we had to try to contact someone from the hotel which was very inconvenient. They told us “to call the cops” because Laguna has a no tolerance for noise after 10pm. It was so frustrating realizing we were asked to deal with this situation essentially on our own. The people were so loud and disrespectful we ended up leaving in the middle of the night because our son woke up and we were all unable to fall asleep. We had to call the hotel later the next day because no one reached out to us to ask us about our experience.The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because of the girl at the front desk (Maddison I think). She was kind and tried to make the situation better but it should have been the manager reaching out to try and make the situation better. I never leave reviews or leave hotels in the middle of the night but needless to say, I would stay else where.

Need so much repair, room around dirty dusty and the shower water not functioning well fluctuating between really hot or really cold. Strong sewer smell inside room called front desk no one available at night, when reported staff was rude and only ask to check out. Expedia has the wrong rating it should be 2 rating please update rating so everyone avoid this horrible hotel it was a real nightmare

This was a cute and cozy hotel in Laguna Beach. With a beautiful view of the ocean and right on South Coast Highway, the location was perfect. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The junior suite with the balcony was very spacious. The only downside was although the TVs were “smart TVs” we could not access Netflix or other streaming services. We also did notice quite a few ants on/near the bed and in the bathroom. It was not a lot to be concerning. All in all I would recommend this hotel to those traveling in the area.

Laguna Cove stood out for its competitive pricing and appealing location. While it’s not a 5-star, 4-diamond property, it isn't priced as such! Laguna Cove delivered an experience that far exceeded expectations in several key areas: the location is unbeatable, and both the rooms and grounds were impressively clean and well-maintained. The staff truly elevated the stay. Everyone we encountered was warm, friendly, and accommodating, offering a level of service that rivaled luxury-tier hospitality. Was placed in a first-floor Junior Suite. Footsteps from above were noticeable, enough to request a move. The front desk team was professional, and the manager kindly approved our switch to an upstairs Family Suite, showing real commitment to guest satisfaction. I’ll definitely be returning and recommend booking a second-floor room for a quieter stay. Earplugs are provided, mostly due to traffic noise from the Pacific Coast Highway—understandable given the location between the ocean and the road, but they never even came close to feeling they were necessary.

I love Laguna Beach and this hotel was just right. Not fancy but sweet with everything you need. Good location without being in the crowded center. The town trolley makes getting around easy and fun - leave your car at the hotel and walk or trolley. The lobby had lots of coffee and tea choices. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean with mini-kitchen. The view not great but sufficient. The beach was very close and convenient. I loved this property and will stay there next time.

Lovely boutique hotel at a great price point. The junior suite was spacious and perfect for myself and my 2 teenage daughters. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I appreciated the complimentary wine and cheese board upon arrival. The lobby was super cute and cozy with a nice selection of coffee/teas available. Would be happy to stay again!

The room was small and cold, the ocean view was very nice. Very small bathroom. The promised "light breakfast" consisted on a small tray with an expired (yes, expired) yogurt, a horribly wilted banana, and an old pastry. This was only provided by the (nice) front desk attendant, apparently to make sure guests would not take "more" that they allocated for us. I paid $350 for a night at our room, so deserved more. Disappointing.

For one night in January it was over $200.00. For that price we expected a decent continental breakfast. Instead we received two green bananas and a pastry 5”x1”x1”. We were told at checkin yogurt, fruit, and pastries would be available. No yogurt and it was only 7:30am.

The position of this hotel is excellent, being one road back from the beach. The room was nice but a small bed, queen,’and the lighting was terrible, only 2 bedside lights, no lighting near the table. You had to ask for breakfast, 2 biscuits, a banana and a yogurt! The shrubs were lovely !
