Hotel was in a great location and had the comfortable Westin beds. Check in staff was lovely. Not one of the nicer Westin’s I’ve stayed at - definitely looking a bit tired. Bedspread had stains on it and bathroom was okay (could use a refresh). Also not great that the self-park did not have in/out privileges at $19/day (only valet at $28/day did).

Expedia charged for a surge due high demand, but did not divolge the hotel did not have a hot tub or pool working. This was one of the main reasons we stayed at this location. Nothing was done by the hotel and Expedia made an incredibly weak attempt to make things better by a lackluster offer only beneficial if I spent MORE money with them instead of fixing the originally issue.

Centrally located. My only complaint is that after a very long day, while I was lugging around 2 suitcases, I had to get 3 different keys after checkin before I finally gained entry into my room. Most of the elevators didn't work, so it took a long time to even get to the 6th floor, then my 1st key didn't work, so they switched rooms and gave me another key. That one also didn't work, so I went down another time. They gave me a new key and sent a security guard up to presumably let me in if my key didn't function. It finally worked that time.

It's a nice, comfortable and convenient place to stay, but we had 2 disappointments: 1. Prior to our stay, we received an email alerting us that the "outdoor pool" was closed for maintenance (has been for months, it turns out). We inferred, though, that the *indoor* pool would be open, and planned to use it. Alas, there is no indoor pool! They should have written "swimming pool," not qualified it by saying "outdoor" when that's the only pool, and they should have offered the use of a pool at one of the several nearby Marriott properties. 2. The fragrance of the cleaning material they use throughout the hotel is very strong and pervasive, and irritated my airways.

Check in was a breeze. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Parking was easy. However, the parking connected to the hotel is technically 'public parking' with no in and out privileges ($19 per day). If you valet a vehicle, you do receive in an out privileges. But the cost is $29 per day. The pool was closed due to renovations (they let us know during booking and upon checkin). The area is fairly quiet and safe. But the local parrot population is VERY loud! It did not impact our stay. Plenty of food options within walking distance. Or there is a restaurant attached to the hotel (we did not eat there). I would stay here again.

We have stayed here many times. I would normally give 5 star. However, this time I cannot but it is only because I have a sensitivity to fragrance. The hotel has a signature frangrance throughout the entire hotel. The smell was way too strong. My eyes were burning and the smell was so overwhelming that I had to sleep with window open. Staff was excellent. Room was clean.

Nice lobby and comfy beds. Self-parking lot are only compact spots that are already impossible to open car doors in any type of regular manner, let alone park, EVEN IF the cars are parked correctly in their own spot. Which I attemped. Do not expect to get out a suitcase, stroller, cooler, or anything other than a small body out a door when the car is parked. You will need to pull out of the spot and remove a more prominent person (hopefully not the driver) or anything that would require you to use a car door as intended. Every time I parked, I was reminded that I would never stay there again based on this inconvenience. The hotel was nice but was overshadowed by this for me.

Stayed here for one night to attend a concert at Intuit Dome. Valet was welcoming and so was the front desk staff at check in. Room was clean and spacious. Bed was really comfortable. After the concert I asked the valet to charge my car and he gladly did. The pool was closed for repair but didn’t affect our stay. Gym was nice and fully supplied. Very good stay overall.

These are the deficiencies: 1. There was a blood stain on the bed sheet, clearly visible. 2. The glasses in the restaurant/bar did not appear to have been washed. 3. Most hotels have vending machines on the floors that dispense soft drinks and bottled water. I was told at the front desk, that if I wanted water, go to the restaurant/bar. It’s a great location, but I will not stay here again.

Comfortable sleep. Very quiet. Fast in-room dining and the overal property is pretty. Unfortunately, it wasn’t clean. The baseboards have the thickest layer of dirt. The shower and sink had hair strands. The bathroom had completely empty bottles of body wash and shampoo. So that hadn’t been checked.

The Westin is a nice hotel but needed a little tender loving care. It’s in need of some updating and fixes. The blinds were lopsided, the shower had very little water pressure, it’s just a bit outdated. The air conditioner is preset and wouldn’t get colder than 70° at night even though we had it set for 68. But it was fine for our short stay.

The hotel looks beautiful from afar, but needs a major refresh. It’s clean enough, but dated. The decor and furniture shows lots of wear. The air conditioning is kind of a joke. Beds were comfortable. Mini fridge was cold. No casting available on the television. Water pressure wasn’t great. THE POOL IS CLOSED! There was no mention of this on Orbitz or the Westin site, and no one mentioned it at the front desk when checking in. That’s too bad. The photos looked great, and we were looking forward to using it. Price was reasonable, and self or valet parking wasn’t too prohibitive. Glad there was no “resort” fee, as the amenities were definitely lacking.

Very bad service and management. I haven’t got the housekeeping. I called the concierge when i was back at night and they told me that someone was coming right away. Nobody showed up. I had another reservation for extra two days and the only thing the manager was able to tell me was to leave and i wouldn’t have been charged for the two extra days. Bad experience

We weren’t able to check in until after 4 which is something they didn’t inform us until we got there. Then when we did get the key, the lady gave us the wrong room number and we had to go all the way back down to do it again. It was just too much going on and the staff didn’t know how to handle it.

I used to have a good impression of the Westin Pasadena so I booked this hotel again. However, I will not book this hotel again after this experience. I have reserved a classic room with 1 king bed. However, when I arrived, the receptionist told me that all the single rooms with king-size beds were booked. She could only provide a room with 2 double beds. I do not want this arrangement as I do not need 2 beds. I was asked for a refund. I told her that I could have booked with another hotel if this was notified to me earlier. She insisted that she could not provide any refund and the only option is for me to take these 2 double bed rooms. I do not understand why the customer has to bear this mistake when the hotel is overbooked than their availability giving that I have already reserved my room. EVERYONE PLEASE BE CAREFUL THIS HOTEL MIGHT NOT GAVE WHAT YOU HAVE RESERVED.

The restaraunt was terrible. Got my order wrong for dinner. i specifically requested my steak to be medium rare. Came out well done. Went back for breakfast, got order wrong AGAIN! Specifically requested over easy eggs. Eggs came back over hard. Also the tables were sticky like they were cleaned using a dirty rag. Staff didnt seem to want to be there or want to help people. For the price i paid to stay at the hotel, i would have expected much more from that restaraunt. I will never stay there again. Terriblee

The Westin Pasadena is a lovely four star quality hotel. I stayed there three nights while visiting family, and I plan on staying there again the next time I visit. The room was up to date and typically styled for an upper mid-level hotel chain and the bed was comfortable. The entire hotel was well maintained and clean. The fitness center was well equipped. I was only interested in the treadmill, and since they had five or six of them (can't remember exactly) I never had to wait to use one. I thought it was a 24 hour facility, but they sent me an e-mail after I booked saying it was closed from10PM to 6AM. I didn't see the note until after I was back home, and did use it after 10. But keep those restrictions in mind. The parking was a bit of a problem. If you want ins and outs, you must use the valet service. They had a $19 maximum for 24 hours (at the time of my stay) but if you leave and come back, your maximum amount resets, so technically you could wind up paying $57 for 24 hours. The garage isn't owned by Westin, so they have no control over the cost. The valet is more convenient and just five dollars more than the self park, (IIRC) so definitely worth it if you're going in and out. The only thing I ordered from the restaurant was the beet salad, and it was delicious.

I don't understand why such a nice hotel has such awful food. I've stayed several times now, and even breakfast was bad. The facility is great, your people/staff are very nice. But in Pasadena, it would be great to have better breakfast and dinner at the hotel.
