Parking easy, felt secure. Clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Microwave. Liked fridge freezer were separate compartments.

Not enough parking

Over all very nice and enjoyable stay. Only complaint would be the parking lot. Spaces were few and small even for our medium sized car.

The staff here is phenomenal and super helpful. The shower drain was rather smelly when taking a shower but other than this, the experience was great. We would recommend that the elevator be deep cleaned because it was a beautiful elevator that deserves to shine

The staff was really nice but the amenities were lacking. Pool is the size of a big hottub, and the breakfast is kids boxes of cereal and toast.

I had a suite it smelled like someone urinated in the room or in the AC unit . I left early and just went back to the BW . Parking lot is small if u got a work truck

Needs to be remodeled big time. I think someone slept in my sheets before me based on the wrinkles location. Ice machine was broken. coffee machine was nice. Lots of dirt in the stairway leading to my room, needs to be pressure sprayed and cleaned. My co-workers felt unsafe here.

Go here if you want a clean, comfortable place to stay in a really nice area with restaurants in walking distance. Off-street parking. All felt very safe. Don't go here if you want an nice, clean swimming pool. (the water had a green tint and is very small). Don't go here if you expect a good breakfast. (toast, cheap pastries, green apples, cereal is about it.

Convenient, off street, parking

No frills budget hotel. More like a motel than a hotel. Met my needs for a brief overnight stay after Cruel World festival. I booked 2 nights but cancelled one when I discovered the pool is tiny and unheated. Breakfast was very basic continental breakfast of ceral, toast, juice, Danish and OJ. NO hot food like bacon, eggs etc!! No toothpaste in rooms and pillows were very flat and uncomfortable. Fine for the price and met my basic needs with no frills or extras

The description online states that breakfast is included in your reservation. Breakfast consisted of an apple and a banana, cold cereal, toast, and coffee. Rooms are not cleaned. Underneath the beds was filthy. There were still items under the beds left from the last guests,which made me question how well the rest of the place got cleaned

There are ants in the bathroom and the bathroom is not very clean, especially the wall and the door

The shower was not plumbed correctly and sewer gas was coming up through the drain. It smelled terrible

I was not expecting the four seasons, however the hotel was very dirty. The room had stains all over it. It was filthy. There were stacks of mattresses in the parking lot. The staff was kind and friendly which was nice, but at nearly $400 a night there are certain standards you hope for. I will not stay there again.

Stay was ok at best. Place needs a serious remodel/upgrade. The newest thing was the TV’s and the remotes didn’t even control the volume or power. (At least they have Direct TV) All you could do was change the channels. Had to get up to lower the volume and turn the Tv on/off. Everything was clean, but old. Smelled like sewage and cigarette smoke. Had to leave the window slightly cracked to air it out when we weren’t in there. Hair left on the shower head and hair left on the walls from previous guests. Bathroom doorknob was falling off and needs to be replaced. Bathroom was clean but smelled a little cause of lack of air flow and a fan that barely works. The bedroom door drags on the carpet and has busted the wall where it has probably been hit hundreds of times throughout the years. You can feel the springs in the sofa bed, could sleep much. At least it wasn’t too cold or too hot. Pillows were comfortable and sheets were clean.

The non smoking rooms smelled like cigarettes. I asked the front desk to give me another room and he allowed me to pick out a room that didn't smell as bad.

Nice clean and friendly

Room smelled like urine when I walked in, and I found bugs on the bed. Staff was polite and tried to help, but the room was not clean. Old, dirty carpet and overall poor condition. Would not stay here again.

Internet doesn’t work

Quite decent hotel for the price. Little older but spacious.

The motel was fine. Don't be fooled by the photo like I was -- it's a MOtel, not a HOtel. The rooms open to the parking lot, not an indoor hallway. The room had clearly been renovated, but was still tired and worn down in places. The breakfast was just meh. Cheerios, frosted flakes and oatmeal, with milk. Bread and a toaster. Coffee. Store-bought packaged cinnamon rolls and bear claws. The orange juice was just water by the time I arrived 30 minutes before breakfast was over. There was one apple left. The hot water in the machine was just lukewarm. The tables had clearly not been wiped since breakfast started.

Fair price in this area, but facilities need updated. The room with windows facing the street is a little noisy.

The best of this hotel is that it is close to a few nice dining options. The wifi is not very stable and very often I could only see text information, not able to have video meetings.

Great place for the price. The property is a little dated, but clean. Room was huge and the bed was confortable.

Very comfortable beds and the hotel is in a place where numerous places to eat are at.

We had a one bedroom suite with 2 beds. The king size bed was dipped in the middle. So you had to sleep close to the sides so you didn’t roll into the dip in the center of the bed! We bought it to the attention of the staff and they said they couldn’t get it taken care of bc the staff that handles the beds had left for the weekend. There were no other suites available to move to. So we ended up sleeping on the warped bed.

Very out dated rooms, carpet looked very worn. Walls are super think and very noisy.

The staff is the best, you can tell the owners really care about the hotel because they maintain it very nicely.

Not so friendly staff

I left the hotel to go to universal studios, and when we came back to the hotel around 8pm, we noticed that the our room door was wide opened. The beds were not done, everything was a mess. Fortunately our belongings were in the closet and none were taken. However we felt that it was unsafe to stay, but the manager offered a new room to stay overnight. Thanks to the manager that offered us a room, otherwise we would probably end up sleeping in the car.

Tommy at the front desk of Howard Johnsons provided outstanding customer service. He asked on several occasions if I had every thing I needed and suggested directions and places to visit in the Pasadena area. he has a great work ethic and positive attitude.

I had to leave a cash deposit for incidentals because they wouldn't accept a debit card. I've used a debit card at hotels my entire life and never had an issue.

Check in was slow after doing an online pre check

It was a amazing experience, it was my first time staying alone . And Tommie at the front desk was the very helpful and one of the best front desk people. And all of the housekeeping staff was so helpful and very kind .

This was a prepaid stay and when I arrived the check in woman at the front desk was very rude because I couldn’t find a proper “credit card” to hold for the additional refundable deposit. I offered my visa debit, then my Apple Mastercard and Venmo visa but she said all 3 she could not accept. I was very frustrated as I had been driving 6 hours that day already and just wanted to rest. She only needed a card number to hold a deposit but was very rude and impatient as I was trying to turn on my locked visa to use. Then she said after I was fumbling through my purse and google wallet that I didn’t look like a person that would ruin the room by smoking or anything, and then accepted my visa debit card that I booked with. It was a very unpleasant experience to say the least and after I left she said “get some rest”

Perfect location. Good size room, had a king bed suite. Very Friendly/helpful Staff

The room was very nice and it was quiet. The only quibble I have is the very basic nature of the breakfast. It would have been nice to have some fruit available, like bananas, with breakfast. There were cereals available and low-fat as well as regular milk. Coffee, reg and decaf; apple juice and orange juice, a few packaged pastries as well. Hot water, but no teabags.

This was an awful stay. From having to do a double check-in, to the hotel not even trying to make the accommodations we asked for when booking, to “breakfast” which is only limited cereal options and toast.

If Cup-O-Noodles is for you then you’ll enjoy the complimentary breakfast. But wait there’s more. You can also have toast, stale grain cereal or close-to-spoiled apples and bananas. The orange juice was good though. It was the equivalent of a smash and grab breakfast you’d devour before you had to run and catch the school bus about to leave. Overall the property looked like it was purchased in foreclosure for 1/2 a penny on the dollar. The room. Have mercy, the room. I would’ve had more stability using the toilet on an aircraft carrier in a hurricane than the toilet in our room. It swayed, and listed, back and forth as you sat on it for some odd reason. Water also leaked from the toilet onto the floor so I wrapped it with towels to keep the floor dry as possible. The air conditioner sounded like a harrier jet hovering in place when on. Yes air conditioners make noise but this one needed flight authorization. If you stepped or jumped over a large puddle please understand that that was the pool. It’s more a Shaq sized bathtub than a pool. Overall an old pig of a hotel with some lipstick on it. The daily pricing is out of line with the overall quality and amenities supplied. Most front desk staff, other than one, were loosely capable of understanding English. Positives: The location is nice and many restaurants in walking distance. But f you just need a place to crash then sure. Keep your expectations very…very low though, and your securely locked.

Break at this hotel was dismal. All carbs, no protein options-toast, pastries, cup of noodles(?????)

The staff was nice and the hotel is decent. Breakfast options were limited, but you get what you pay for. The area has a lot of restaurants and is close to Caltech and some other Pasadena highlights. The view of the foothills is gorgeous! Pool is nice enough and there are room service options if you like. The room was great with a personal air conditioner, amenities (fridge, freezer, microwave, etc), and was pretty clean. I'd stay again.
