Excellent stay. Property was clean, well appointed, comfortable. Looks like they were renovated not long ago. Hotel has everything you'd need: gym, pool, spacious rooms, restaurant, etc. Good location too. A very short drive to shopping, coffee, and restaurants. In fact, I think it's only about a 10 minute walk. Would be good if they could install a safe in each hotel room for guests' personal belongings. Also, their AC temperature control is a bit weird. It tracks the temperature outside rather than inside. Overall, a very nice property.

This property is in a great location - walkable to the City Center. However, the hotel is undergoing a remodel so there is construction. The rooms are loud either way AND they want to pay for parking! Which is crazy given the vast amount of free parking all around the hotel.

Very convenient and rooms are well-maintained. The problem was when we tried to check in since my wife and I do not have the same last name it took over 20 minutes to check in. Also, we had problems with our key cards to get into the parking lot and into our room and they had to remake our key cards.

The Marriott underwent a great remodel and is now the place to stay in San Ramon with a great bar and restaurant (for breakfast and dinner - no lunch). We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again during our next trip to San Ramon.

The pool was very cold. Also there was no jacuzzi. There are problems with the ice machines. Orherwise the property is very nice, staff was friendly.

The staff at check in and the bar were wonderful. My room had clearly been updated already in the renovation and was so nice (though the TV gave off an odd glow all night even powered off). The outside of the hotel itself seems to need a good cleaning or painting but the grounds are lovely. Enjoyed the clean and well appointed gym very much. Sadly when leaving in the morning there was quite a lot of garbage (and someone’s underwear!) in the hallway. Water machine on my floor was out of service but no other issues. Super convenient, great price and will stay again.

Unbearably, hot on the first floor. Just terrible. Felt bad for the lobby staff who had to work in it. It was at least 10 degrees hotter than outside (90 degrees). Our room was decent however the shower door does not remain closed. The railing wasn’t balanced so the door would not remain close and continuous slide open while showering. Extremely frustrating as well as the AC capped at 68, a first floor room while the remainder of the floor was bad. Thins walls. Heard someone business call as well as another parties disagreement.

I have stayed here before & loved the decor, amenities & overall closeness to many good restaurants & bars nearby- this time there was a Quinceañera going on all night at the property- there were underaged kids running up & down the halls of my floor from 9pm-about 11:45pm- they were using a room across the hall from me as a party room, coming back and forth from the party multiple times, blasting music & spilling out onto the hall being super loud- I waited till after 10pm to call the front desk lobby as I could also see there was a woman across from me who kept coming out also with her small child who was probably trying to sleep- Front desk agent was so short with me & told me there was a party-kind of like just deal w/ it. I told him I was aware & understood, but there was a lot of commotion and underaged kids using the room to drink & be super loud, he said security would go up & check it out. Security showed up probably 20 min later- verbatim told them that he didn't care what they do, they just need to keep it down because fellow hotel guests are complaining- when the kids left back down to the party one of them flipped off the hotel guests doors - it was poorly managed in my opinion. The party should stay downstairs & if people come back to their room they should be mindful of other guests esp so late- & front desk staff should be more apologetic w/ the complaints & not like we were the ones hassling them. The noise finally died down around midnight- I got no sleep-

As a BonVoy member, I usually stay at Marriott properties. This time, we stayed at Marriott San Ramon for a night on Saturday. Everything in terms of room itself was OK and as expected; however, we had two issues that I think are worth mentioning: 1. They assigned a room to use right in front of the elevator. We had a lot of noise issue starting from 10pm onward and at that time, it was too late for us to move to a different room. The issue continued until about 2am, which made it really hard to have a good night sleep. Usually, they would ask us if we have a room location preference but this time, it was just assigned to us. 2. We booked at room for 3 people (a King bed plus a sofa bed). The sofa bed needed a blanket and linen (pillows were in the closet). We called asked for the linen and blanket but it took over 1.5 hours for them to deliver it, by which time we were already in bed. We usually have a very positive experience at Marriott and I am sure these are exceptions. I appreciate that hotel staff cannot control their guests behavior when leaving the elevator, but I wanted to let future guests know that this Marriott may not be as family-friendly as I thought and you should specifically ask for a quiet room at the end of a corridor if you are considering this hotel. Also, when you are booking, consider that their "sofabed" is not like a sofa that converts to a bed with a proper mattress. It's like sleeping on a sofa at a friend's house!

We had two employees staying here for 4 nights for work. Both rooms were paid for in advance. Upon check in at 4:00 PM we completed a credit card authorization form for any incidental charges (i.e. taxes, parking, etc.). Our employees were given keys and went on their way to their rooms. At 10:00 PM, a hotel employee woke both gentlemen up, got them out of bed, and ask them to leave their rooms and sit in the lobby, because according to this Marriott employee one checked box was missing from the credit card authorization form. The owner of our company received a phone call at 10:30 at night asking for another form to be completed. He then had to complete another form online with the same information previously submitted. It had been 6 hours since the first form was completed and they were allowed access to their hotel rooms. This was gross mismanagement and disrespectful on Marriott's part. Our employees were embarrassed and felt harassed by the Marriott employee that forced them to exit their room at 10:00 PM. The form had all the credit card information and this could have been resolved either at time of check in, or the next morning.

I have stayed here several times. This time, the service was poor. They checked us in, but used my card to pay for another person’s room, then said we weren’t checked in. We weren’t given enough towels. We were supposed to have a rollaway and that took several times to get it. Something went missing in my room and they gave me the run around and would not help me or let me talk with the managers. I will never return. Also, the key cards rarely work. They need to update their doors.

Not much to say. I’m not sure if it’s because we didn’t meet the profile of high end. It did feel like we got treated like whatever. We got the incorrect room, not much information when checking in. And when I went back down to advice them that I had gotten the incorrect room, she made an excuse about third party booking. Like it was my fault for booking with Expedia. I happen to love booking through Expedia and they’re amazing deals so that definitely rubbed me the wrong way. As much as it was “fancy”. I wouldn’t stay there due to their staff.

I have stayed at this Marriott several times and it consistently clean and quiet with responsive staff. A Target, Whole Foods, Pete's Coffee, bagel shop and more are an easy 1 block walk and additional restaurants and shopping are 2-3 blocks away. The property is surrounded by beautiful trees. Parking is easy too.

Easy walking distance to dining and shopping. Very quiet. Much less expensive than staying at a similar property in Walnut Creek. Did not eat in restaurant, it looked like it was going to take too long so I walked out and went to Whole Foods instead. Parking fee is lame especially when gates were open to all and either broken or not functional. Very few channels on TV. Pillows were made with low quality down, but the mattress and linens were great. Water pressure and shower solid. Gym very well equipped. Appreciated being able to open the sliding glass door to the balcony and get fresh air. Hotel was very clean and the staff was very kind.

Great location. Across the street is a nice trail with a little lake to walk around, it’s quite beautiful during the evening. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel is recently renovated, stylish, smells very good and has everything you would need. Would stay here again.

I didn't have a long stay (just 1 nite) as I was participating in a Trade Show the next day. The rooms were nice and clean. I did order room service and my salad came without chicken as requested; I didn't call since it was late eve and I decided to eat dinner. The bed was a little hard for my taste and the pillows were huge. I didn't use them because they were so high but they looked nice. The event for ASSP was held the next morning and the venue was great for that show as I was an exhibitor. I usually stay at Marriott for business and will continue to do so. thanks.

The property is under construction, specifically the lobby, the restaurant and the bar which were primary reasons for choosing this property. We were very disappointed in this and I will write to Marriott directly. The hotel did not advise of this condition prior to booking. This is no fault of Expedia.

Convenient location for the event I was attending. Rooms were spacious and clean. Good amenities. Pool is small. Restaurant has decent menu but very very slow service when the hotel is busy. Lots of other good dining options within walking distance of the hotel. In room phones were not working. Coffee maker in room didn’t work.

Everything was FABULOUS. Beds comfy, pillows glorious, rooms very clean and lovely! We had breakfast annd dinner in the restaurant in the lobby twice. The food and service was excellent. Only complaint is front desk agent that checked us in for not explain that the room key opened and closed the parking lot gate. I couldn’t figure out how to open it and paid the $14 fee twice with a credit card at the gate only to find out I was also charged for the parking on my bill. When I checked out, the front desk did credit me for the error.
