Rodeway Inn Santa Clara El Camino Real

The Real is going through a change in owenership and management. The front desk clerk, Dala (sp?), was extremely friendly and interested in our stay being pleasant. The hotel is undergoing gradual renovations, and while not perfect yet, the rooms are mostly clean and comfortable. Some things are dated while others are brand new. I would stay here again, and probably before I would stay at a Motel 6. Good value for the money. Also, there is a nice, well maintained pool, loads of yummy restaurants nearby, and an easy drive to Levis or Great America.

The motel offered decent rooms for a good price. There were a number of homeless people hanging out at an abandoned restaurant adjacent to the property. The did not seem to be a working ice machine on the premises.

No ice machine, vending machine says 1.00 but actually 2.00, pool dirty!

Rodeway was fine. Nothing outstanding, nothing terrible. For me & my grandkids it was great. It's close to many attractions and the outdoor parking is terrific. The best part was having 3 queen size beds in one nice big room. For some reason the floor at one end of the room is heated. The kids loved it, but it was so hot outside, it was strange!! We had a good stay.

We were allowed an extra hour before checkout. The pool was nice.

Not so welcoming staff upon checking in. Room was decent for the price. The toilet and bathtub room looked renovated and was the best part of the room. Looked really clean. Air conditioner filter was very very dirty. Tried cleaning it myself to of no avail. Room furnitures were worn and beat except for the bed. Desktop lamp wasn’t even plugged in nor had a place to plug it in. The TV was good. Nice size. Bed sheets and pillows were decent. Parking lot needs a lot of work. Very worn and a lot of potholes. During my visit it was raining and pools of water flooded the lot. Overall I don’t believe I’ll ever stay here again.

The location was easy to get to and from Levi stadium and the staff was very kind. Unfortunately, the room just felt dirty. The floors had crumbs throughout the room, eyelashes stuck to the floor, and the bed sheets still had hair in them when I pulled the blankets back. The bathrooms smell musky and I didn’t even use a wash cloth because of how yellow it was. Overall, the hotel was convenient and cheap, which made it tolerable for somewhere to sleep and shower.

Unfortunately, my stay there was not as expected. The lady at check in was very nice. Asked where the ice machine was, it wasn't working, go figure. On initial entrance into the room and opening the bathroom door, the smell of mold was overwhelming! The air-conditioning unit on the wall was old and dirty, the ceiling by the unit had black spots all over. One channel only on the TV, Dr. Phil. The shower walls definitely were not clean, hair from another guest. The outlets in the vanity area wouldn't hold the plug in the wall. It was all around dirty. Do yourself a favor, pay a little more and stay somewhere else. Even if it's just for one night.

Bathroom was drity was hair in tube. There was stuff on the wall. The bed sheets had stains on them.

Rooms very dirty, we needed up leaving and not spending the night. Room looked like it had not been cleaned in months. Might have some bug as we leafy very itchy and he only spend 20min in the room.

Stayed for a concert. The room was extremely dirty. Bed sheets were stained (did not notice this until we had stripped the bed), the bathroom smelled like old urine, and walls were dirty. Would not recommend staying here.

Toilet was the type that had two buttons at the top to flush. Neither one worked, no matter how long I held the buttons down. Also, the remote for the A/C let me turn the unit on and off but didn't change the temp, so I had to stand on a chair to set the temperature.

Was a party going on all night next to our room, staff never did anything. Next night babies crying literally while people were having loud seggs, again manager did nothing. Both nights this went well on after 2am. Room was gross, floors were sticky and parking lot was sketchy. Never again.

WiFi doesn’t work well. Shower had water pressure of drinking fountain. Clean and quiet though so overall ok.

Other than the really bad A/C and bad wifi, it was not bad for the price. But the bad A/C was a kind of a big problem because it got really hot in the room in the afternoon and evening. Other than that, it was fine overall.

I couldn't figure out how to turn on the air conditiioner. It is up towards the ceiling.

Two days we were there, there was no hot water for the shower, and the toilet seat is broken, also sheets were not changed since we saw stains, and the blanket was barely a blanket. It was always so noisy too.

I stayed here as a stopping point on a road trip. Got into my room at 1 am and needed to leave at 8 am. The room itself was satisfactory for the price point, albeit a slightly-too warm-refrigerator, and only two very thin blankets on the bed. The 2-star review is mainly because my sleep was massively interrupted by a party that was right next door to mine. I was woken up by them multiple times, 3 am, 4 am, and especially at 5 am, when it sounded like a fight broke out, several people yelling and screaming right outside my door, and this is when management finally decided to get the police involved. I probably got 3 hours of sleep total, and very little deep sleep at that. Might as well have just slept in my car in a walmart parking lot. Probably would've been more peaceful, and free.

The hotel is located extremely close to the freeway, which made the room very noisy. It was nearly impossible to sleep, and this caused me significant stress and discomfort. Because of the poor rest, I even considered changing hotels after the first night. Despite only staying for one night, I was charged for all three nights of my reservation. I understand there may be a cancellation policy in place, but in this case, I was the guest directly affected by the unacceptable noise conditions. I believe it was unfair that I had to pay for two additional nights I did not use. The overall service during my stay was unsatisfactory. Rather than trying to accommodate my situation, the staff simply referred to the cancellation policy. This felt unhelpful and inconsiderate. In summary, I had a very unpleasant stay. While the hotel may not be the worst option for some travelers, it is definitely not suitable for those who are sensitive to noise

Decent place to stay. Good location, easy parking, and low cost. Staff is amiable and open to inquiries and concerns, should there be any. Gets a bit noisy at night with traffic and other tenants on occassion, and the room wasn't exactly spectacular, but it's a 2* place in the end, and you get a bit more than you'd expect from that.

I called the hotel the day before my arrival to confirm my reservation. The man who answered was extremely rude, told me to contact the third-party site I booked through, and hung up on me. When I called back with my confirmation number, he finally located my reservation but was still clearly irritated. The room had a damp, musty smell, and the AC blew air that smelled dirty — the filter clearly hadn’t been cleaned. There was no hot water at first; I had to call the front desk and wait 10–15 minutes before it was turned on. The carpet felt grimy, and I didn’t feel comfortable using the hotel’s bedding. During my stay, housekeeping never came despite me leaving the "maid needed" sign on the door. When I called to request fresh towels, I was told to come pick them up myself. Every interaction with the front desk was met with a rude, annoyed attitude. Later in the trip, I reserved an extra room for my parents — and once again, faced the same rude customer service. Based on this experience, I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel.

Staff/ Manager, Upon my check in to the EReal / Rodeway Inn, I was offered the option of putting a cash deposit or credit card for incidentals so I gave the night audit manager $100 cash and he said I would get it returned upon checkout. Until now I have not received my deposit or a phone call as of when I would get it back. When calling the staff is unaware and I have been trying to get this matter handled. I previously stayed here and booked as well with Hotels.com/expedia was charged $100 for security deposit and l never saw it returned into my account. This has been the 2nd time like this. I hope this is not going to be a third time.

I stay at this property frequently while in the area for work. Helpful staff, quiet, clean and a great value.

My husband and I were traveling to Santa Clara after a concert and take a mini vacation. A gentlemen named DP was working and checked us in. DP went to above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of during our stay! Including making sure the room we received was perfect, and making sure we got any and all amenities we needed. I'd definitely stay here again and highly suggest it to anyone! Great prices for a nights stay and even better customer service! And thank you again for being so awesome and taking care of us DP!

This place was horrible. The customer service was terrible. For instance, On march 29th I wasn't pleased with the services I got from the front desk. The guy at the front desk was rude, and I wish I can call him out specifically. His attitude was horrible, and I didn't agree with his decision. I requested/demanded to talk to his manager/supervisor, and he refused. I asked for his manager/supervisor phone number, and he also refused. I asked for his manager email, and he gave me an email address that he claimed it is his manager's email. Although I knew he was lying, but I voiced my concern and sent an email to the email address he gave me. I was disappointed that right in my presence this guy open the email I sent (meant to be for his manager) and read it out loud to me. I stayed for 3 nights, and I never got any response from the manager. I am sure he deleted the email. If you stay at this hotel, just pray you never have any customer service issue. And if you do, hope and pray that the manager is present. The guy at the front desk behave like he is the clerk and the boss at the same time, and his decision is final. TERRIBLE!!!!

Just a bed to sleep for the night. Comfortable, walking distances to good restaurants, easy access to major roads, good WiFI

Close to hospital

The property is perfect for a quick night stay. Reasonably priced for its location and amenities definitely not the Hilton but you're not paying for it. I work in the Bay area from time to time and just need an inexpensive room and that one works. It appears to be clean nothing fancy and there's fantastic sushi right down the street

Really love this hotel. Nice location n close to plenty of stores n only a few miles from Levi Stadium

Room was clean and comfortable. Had refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Staff was helpful. Close to kaiser. Many dining and shopping options nearby.

It was advertised with a Continental breakfast but there was not. The room was dingy, the towels and linen were also dingy looking. Good price though for five people to stay two nights.

Medicare place to stay, neat, almost clean I have trouble to connect to internet, and the reason provided was to many connection! So I have to check out early to access to internet and do my job. Also, very limited breakfast option and no table to eat at. Not fan of quality of coffee.

For a clean quiet night's sleep, for the price it can't be beat. I slept just as well here as any luxury hotel. Room has microwave, coffee maker and fridge. Bring your dinner leftovers and you are set. It's not glamourous, (needs new lampshades) (towels aren't as swanky as a place that costs 4x as much) and I feel that for a few cents more there could be a coffee upgrade. Bring your own bath plug if you want to take a bath. good hot water fast.

Says remodeled. The frig and microwave was unplugged, and the frig door barely opened. The room make me fell it was not clean and was difficult to feel comfortable. The staff was terse and unfriendly. The complementary coffee was terrible; might as well not offer.
