It's an old motel, and that's fine, but it's short-staffed by family who weren't at the counter and the office is closed. You have to text them and they get back to you in an hour. The bed was nice, but the rooms do not have A/C and that means no fan for noise. Normally okay, but when there is a crying baby in the next room at midnight, some white noise makes a difference. Like most cheap places, they paint over crumbling structure instead of repairing and replacing it. It's close to the Harvey's concert venue, which is the only thing going for it.

This was the second time we had stayed at the Tea Garden, and again it was awesome. Rooms were clean, and the bed super comfortable. The Tea Garden is 2 blocks from the casinos, so it is an easy walk to concerts at Harvey’s via the back entrance (behind Harvey’s). It is also only about a 10 minute walk to the beach. I emphasize walk as you will not get a parking spot. Be aware the beach costs $25 a person, but ask about discounts at check-in. As an added bonus you get Jimmy! Jimmy is the owner, and he is super positive and always hustling to make the place as nice as it can be. Now, to be honest, the Tea Garden is an older place, but it is kept up well. There is no central AC, but portable AC units are provided. If you are staying at Tahoe and just need a place to sleep and shower, the Tea Garden is perfect! On fact, we are staying there this week again!

Dirty and either too cold (no heat) or too warm. Staff said if we came back next year he would offer a better room. Poop on toilet rim and shower too dirty too use. Carpet turned my white socks black. Could go on but just do not stay there.

Cheap price but you get what you pay for - check in at 4pm. Latest checkin I’ve ever seen. Front desk area wasn’t even open until 4 so not even an option for earlier check in - If you are looking for updated and clean rooms look somewhere else. Shower was pretty dirty, a little scrubbing would help, carpet was worn and nails sticking out where carpet and tile were made to come together. We had to put a towel down to not cut our feet. - Beds were so noisy when you moved even the slightest bit. Very hard mattress as well.

They have not cleaned the carpets. The carpet was full of stains. Bad odor. They do not clean under the bed. My dog found a sock and old food underneath the bed. I had to check out early because I was getting sick. They rushed us to get out when I had paid for a second day. They wanted to rent out the room as quickly as possible.

The hotel was not well cleaned. I could tell because there was still dust on counters. Don’t expect house keeping because they don’t worry about that. There is no ace so at nights it would get hot. Their wifi reception is not the best. you get what you pay for, it was an affordable price but next time I would rather stay at a cleaner location.

Great location, easily walkable to Harvey's Outside Venue and casinos. Reception was friendly and nice. If you just need a bed for a night, might be a decent option, but walls are quite thin, and noise travels. We were on ground level, and could hear people overhead walking, maybe upstairs would be quieter, but no elevator. Also, might want to request extra blankets if needed before office closes, thin covers on bed, and no spare in room.

People put lower reviews on this property...there is nothing wrong with this place...unless you like to nitpick little things..great place for overnight stay..with the best rates. Staff was very nice abd helpful.

We got in a lot later than expected. I called to let them know and the person at the front desk stayed late to check us in. It was a very kind gesture and very much appreciated

This was the second time we had stayed at the Tea Garden, and again it was awesome. Rooms were clean, and the bed super comfortable. The Tea Garden is 2 blocks from the casinos, so it is an easy walk to concerts at Harvey’s via the back entrance (behind Harvey’s). It is also only about a 10 minute walk to the beach. I emphasize walk as you will not get a parking spot. Be aware the beach costs $25 a person, but ask about discounts at check-in. As an added bonus you get Jimmy! Jimmy is the owner, and he is super positive and always hustling to make the place as nice as it can be. Now, to be honest, the Tea Garden is an older place, but it is kept up well. There is no central AC, but portable AC units are provided. If you are staying at Tahoe and just need a place to sleep and shower, the Tea Garden is perfect! On fact, we are staying there this week again!

We stayed a night, room was clean, good mattress, fluffy towels, coffee, fridge & communal microwave. The property was older , office is not open, transaction done via text and Zelle. For the price, the stay was worth it. It was a quiet stay, 8 minute walk from casinos.

Checking in by text was not pleasant. We came in after a wedding and over text were told there was a balance. I texted back asking for what. They said a hotel fee. I had booked and paid on hotels.com. And then had to Venmo the QR code. Not recommended at all. We were tired and the room had spackled holes not painted over.

the location for this place is great very close to all attractions, casinos and restaurant. there is no staff on site and the don't have a reception office is all self checking in via text message. We travel during a very busy weekend and it was one of the few available hotels in the area, we only used it to sleep. building is very old, old carpet with stains and it's very noisy loud music at night.

Was nice lil walk to Tahoe strip. Room was just right would recommend to stay this hotel. The staff was great he accommodated my husband (disability) with down stairs room

If your idea of art is dirty adult feet prints on your wall. If you like hair on your bathroom floor as soon as you check in. Pink mildew covering the shower. Stained and burnt carpet from an iron. This is the place for you. Weirdest part. No one actually checks you in. You send a text with your name. Pay any extra fees by Venmo or Zelle. I understand the room charge being high due to their location. But can you at least give a clean room for the price. Wouldn’t stay here again.
