Room was very nice and comfortable. The Hotel has a new owner, they are working on updates. The patio was a great place to sit and have breakfast.

great/affordable place to stay near San Francisco Airport (about 2 miles away - 10 min. drive) They offer a FREE Airport shuttle which is most convenient.

The hotel advertises free airport shuttle and this was one of the reasons I chose it. However its hours of service is very limited, ending at 9:40 am. In short, it is deceptive advertising. The hotel itself was pretty basic - OK missing features such as fridge and microwave. Breakfast is also very limited.

Pet friendly

We stayed a 2 days and it was helpful to see the flights on the TV near the entrance, theres a big patio, it's very relaxing. There's a lot of parking however you need to pay extra for it.

This hotel is extremely basic. Decently clean. Expect nothing. The main reason i booked is that hotels.com said the south san francisco bart stop was a 12min walk. This is completely untrue. The closest stop is the airport or san bruno. And san bruno is 40min walk. The hotel shuttle also only runs part of the day. The shuttle runs from 5am-noon and 5pm-midnight. It runs every 45min or so. None of this is communicated on the site

Close to the airport. Note parking at hotel is not free, but you can easily find nearby parking spots.

There were ants in the shower and the shuttle does not run from 12:00 to 5: 00p. They should let people know that

Staff was courteous. We needed a hotel close to the airport before an early morning flight and this hotel was servicable. There was no fridge in the room, so I was happy to find ice and an ice bucket for some food that we had to keep cold. I wish the room had been cleaner and in better repair. Unfortunately the hotel shuttle did not run at the time that we needed it, so we had to schedule an Uber.

Not quite as easy to walk to the little town nearby - hotels on So Airport Blvd are better situated - but this one does have free shuttle to the airport and breakfast and a little bit of fitness equipment, so liked that. Would definitely stay there again

Walls/ceiling did not mask noise of neighbors at night. Ants in my shower and bathroom. Floor dirty. Towel had stains and hair before first use. Bodily fluid of some sort (or maybe food) on fabric headboard.

I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. I had to change rooms three times because of an ant infestation. The third room looked fine when I checked it, but by morning, ants had appeared there too. Additionally, the coffee maker was not functioning. The front desk staff was polite and tried to be helpful, but when I asked about a refund after moving rooms for the second time, I was told management would need to decide, and I wouldn’t get an answer for at least 24 hours. Unfortunately, I was only staying one night and needed a clean, functional room to sleep and shower. Although the location was convenient for my needs, the overall experience was stressful and uncomfortable. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it to others.

There were ants EVERYWHERE. I am trying to get the ants out of my luggage right now. We noticed them when first on the bathroom sink. It was too late to ask the front to change rooms because my son was already asleep. When we woke up this morning they were in the shower, in the coffee maker. I am unpacking at home now and there are ants all over our clothes. I have video of them in the room but only got the two pictures. I want my money back.

Building was run down, carpet needed to be replaced

Floors and tv remote felt extremely dirty. We couldn’t even turn on the light above the bathroom sink because the middle bulb was flickering like crazy, to the point that our eyes hurt. There were a limited number of outlets, we had to move furniture in order to plug in additional devices. There were also ants in the bathroom. The shower nozzle was also loose somehow because it sprayed water out on the side, and this flooded the bathroom right by the toilet. This heavily discouraged us from taking more showers. It also seemed like the AC would turn itself off in the middle of the night because we would wake up to a humid and warm room. On the plus side, there is plenty of parking spaces available and staff were very efficient and nice. You get what you pay for, but we definitely could have found a hotel with better conditions than this place for the price. Maybe we got unlucky with a bad room, but we highly don’t recommend staying here.

Rough place. Stain on the wall. Not too clean. It’s about what we were expecting. Didn’t have a lot of options in SFO for the night. A lot of full hotels this night. Online pictures didnt resemble what we were provided by any stretch of the imagination, but if they did, I don’t think many would reserve a room.

Cheap hotel near the airport. Old with lots of wear and tear on furniture. No fridge or microwave in room, but did have a microwave in common area we could use. Worked for what we needed but definitely a budget hotel.

Frankly, not what we were expecting for an airport hotel. We arrived around 8pm, a friend (partner? family?) of hotel staff was passed out on the lobby sofa. Place is dimly lit and overly worn out both in rooms and common areas. Room was minuscule, barely enough room for us to walk around the beds. Location is loud and right beside the highway with single pane windows. The pictures make it look welcoming, new and inviting, as well as good value; unfortunately we felt it was none of these things (perhaps 8-10 years ago?) Breakfast was edible, although my kids didn't think so. Beds were comfortable and linens nice and the front staff were friendly, and generally it was adequately clean, but the rest of the place was old, worn out and pretty trashy. I would not rate this a three start hotel; maybe 1 star at most.

Really close to the airport, which is the only thing that really justified the price. Rooms are okay for a night. No fridge Limited sockets Hairdryer didn’t work, but problem was solved fast after asking! Overall worth the stay, it’s totally fine for the night before the flight. Breakfast room was really nice too!

I liked it had clean bed and bathroom. It was 5min to airport! I did not like it was worn/old and window missing screen and the chargers in room didn’t work. The bedroom stunk too not sure if used to be smoking room but we kept window open all night for it. The breakfast was all carbs/bread no protein. But snack items to take and fruit which is nice.

Walls were super thin. Good price for a last minute stay.

We were charged $15 for parking fee. The air conditioner worked but it made a hissing sound I couldn’t sleep due to that. Breakfast was not good no eggs no sausage no bacon.

Room was very small and no microwave or mini fridge

The rooms were bare bones with no refrigerator and limited space to put items on. The breakfast was average with just carbohydrates. The property was OK for a quick overnight before leaving for the airport.

Hotel Focus is an older property that made some recent but poorly selected remodeling efforts. The rooms are cramped (no desk, a tiny vanity, tub and toilet crammed into a tiny space), outlets are difficult to access, and some things (e.g. TV remote, light switches) don’t work. Hall noises come straight through the walls. The only plus was the friendly staff.

The room was clean, there was a respectable breakfast spread, although no protein to speak of. The receptionist was a little dry, but professional and efficient. It’s an older property with some damage but the location and price, and specifically the cost for parking, make this one of my favorite places to stay when I’m visiting the Bay Area.

Waited for a shuttle at the Airport for an hour that never came. Staff was pretty rude and didnt seem concerned. Hotel is dated but remodeled

Hotel Focus shuttle services to and from the airport is terrible. My wife and I arrived in San Francisco from an international flight at approximately 9:30pm and the last shuttle services was at 10:40. I called the hotel receptionist and requested them to call the shuttle driver if the driver can stay and extra 15 minutes. The hotel receptionist was very rude and fairly new at the job and didn't know what to do. My wife and I missed the shuttle and ended up taking a taxi cab. Also be wary on all the hotels near the airport, most hotels sub contract the shuttle services. The shuttle service company may have up to 4-5 hotels under there contract to pick up and drop off. My wife and I were able to catch our flight the next morning at 7 with 5 minutes to spare. The hotel condition is very poor needs some serious renovating.

The staff was so helpful. They let us know how to use the busses and answered any other questions we had.

Stayed at Hotel Focus for a couple of nights and the stay was fine. Housekeeping just seemingly skipped our room so we had to go ask for towels. That’s my only complaint really.

Great staff!

The good of Hotel Focus was the ease to the airport, the monetary aspects and, of course, the quiet feel of the property. The bad. Parking is an issue. Never seemed to be enough parking spots close to the door. The ugly is most of the surrounding neighborhood being on the edge of an industrial park. It looks kinda sketchy, but wasn't. Nice place to stay either for the night or for a couple of weeks.

I had a quiet room. Staff was nice. Breakfast could have been a bit better stocked. Or more options. Convince to freeway and public transportation was great.

Very conveniently located close to SFO airport. Reasonably priced for it's location. The rooms overlooking the interior courtyard are the best.

My partner and I stayed here for two days for an event nearby. It wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t the worst either. The area around the property is quite dark and shady, but the hotel doors do get locked at a certain time each night. This is a downside if you plan to stay out late, as you’ll need to wait for a manager to unlock the doors for you. However, it’s also appreciated that the doors are locked at night.

The Hotel has a great location is ok for short time

The room was quiet and well appointed. Good priced hotel with easy access to freeways, assuming that you have a car.

It can’t be worse than finding out that the second piece of bread that you were about to eat had mold on it after your had already finished one piece. Reported to the staff. She threw away the pieces with mold on them instead of the whole stack.

Wasn't what I expected, from the look of pictures on the website. Anyway breakfast could have been better. I thought I was going to have bacon and eggs..! (Maybe next time, would LOVE to have hot foods for breakfast)..

Nothing but carbs for breakfast: bagels, toast…. Not a single egg, no sausage, bacon …

Didn't like the stay, room was small, washroom was congested. Only breads n coffee were in breakfast.

Quiet, clean, no frills place to stay. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. There are a lot of carb options (oatmeal, cereal, bagels, bread, waffles), but the only protein available is milk. I was expecting eggs and/or yogurt.

It was good for a budget stay. Breakfast was good.

One of the closer hotel from the SFO Airport and cheap. Great service and professional staff. Free breakfast should be updated with cooked eggs, sausages, and slice of ham.
