Comfort Suites Southgate-Detroit

Clean beautiful rooms and a clean beautiful hotel. Staff is very friendly. Hotel is maintained well. Pool is nice, warm and clean and great for all ages. Breakfast is also good. No complaints.

Breakfast wasn't great. Scrambled eggs were very dry. Not a huge selection. I think I may have sat down after a rush. They didn't replenish food with any urgency. Ended up selecting with a yogurt, banana, and orange juice. Hard pass on the eggs!!

Room was clean but had a smell that’s hard to explain. I believe it came from whatever they were pumping in the air. The breakfast was fair given that the so called omelettes were always cold. Had biscuits and gravy one day out of four. As far as the staff, one person was polite while one was not happy when I asked for housekeeping. Told me they only do housekeeping every three days since COVID. She seemed upset to have someone take care of my room. For $500, I expect a little more customer service.

I’ve stayed at this property several occasions and have previously given it 5 stars, but this time things seemed a bit less quality than normal. Maybe because they were packed with a fishing tournament? But it was less clean, less quiet and less enjoyable than previous trips.

Room was clean,a great size couch, king bed, desk and more Breakfast changed each day to a point. Egg n cheese omelette sausage, waffles and more the 1st day. Scrambled eggs sausage and the others. 3rd day biscuits and gravy, sausage patties and cheese omelette. The staff was kind and accommodating. The con Pool has a lot of chlorine
