Booked this hotel about a month in advance, chosen because of the free hot breakfast, fair price, and pet friendly rooms because we were traveling with pets. When I arrived, before I could get my room front desk worker said she was canceling my reservation because the pets I had were cats. The website says pet friendly....they should chamge that to dog friendly if they were really that hard against other pets. She wasnt very sorry or emoathetic about my situation. Just told me to try Days Inn. Lucky for Days Inn, they didnt bat an eye at my choice of pet and I even saved money. This location came with a better view as well.

We get into the room and under the tv was some hard, white substance. We didn’t know if it was glue, soap, caulking, or some other inappropriate matter. Dead bug in the tub and dirt other places just didn’t sit right. There is very limited parking. We did have a good night’s sleep at least

The bed was comfortable and staff seemed nice. The negatives: It was a no smoking room, but smelled smoke through the night. The carpeting was dusty and dirty. We booked online, the hotel was listed as pet friendly but once at the hotel found out cats were not allowed. The tub drain stopper did not work. Overall not a good experience.

Clean room, bathroom. Breakfast had limited options but it was nice! Wish the property had an elevator, as we had to pull all out luggage onto 2nd floor. Overall nice stay.

Amenities were not great. All they provided was soap and shampoo. Trash cans don’t even have liners in them. We had key cards but our door didn’t actually lock. We didn’t leave our room together because anyone could have entered our room while we were gone.

Old facility. No elevator in 2023? Really? Our room had super short sink and toilet but it was on the second floor....so a handicapper client the client could climb the stairs! Maybe they have new handicap rooms on 1st floor.

This was a nice hotel and no complaints except the 4 of us travelers each had a suitcase, an overnight bag and are all senior citizens and there wasn't an elevator. It's hard on older people to pull their luggage upstairs. Other than that it was a nice, clean hotel in a good location and conveniently located with good parking. Had a microwave, fridge and large coffee pot in room. I did book this thru Expedia and the desk clerk would not give me a paper receipt showing the amount charged to my card. I DID NOT like that. She said Expedia would email me a copy of my receipt. That is just not right!

old and run down, sink and tub clogged, couldn’t get it to go down at all. Mouse trap somewhat visible, no towel bar in bathroom. curtain wouldn’t close along the side and the bed was facing the opening of the curtain, pillows were very flat, dining area was extremely small.

I loved the huge images of the Spanish Peaks in my room, which was spotless and nicely updated/appointed. The tele didn't work, and the WiFi was pretty unstable and slow, so I hotspotted from my phone, so NBD.

Check in was quick. Room was spacious. But it seemed pretty dirty. The couch in our room was indented so kind of worn out I guess? But I took the cushions off to pull the bed out & there were food crumbs & what looked like maybe bbq meat chunks. The pullout bed was also worn & dirty & one end was messed up so the bed leaned down. You didn’t have to have a room key to get into the hotel either so that seemed unsafe. Anyone could just walk in. The tv remote didn’t work & there weren’t trash bags in the trash cans. It was quiet at night though so that was a plus. Staff were friendly. But I wouldn’t stay here again. I do not like a dirty hotel.

I was told by the front desk clerk that the construction workers staying there were quiet in the morning. She must be a hearing impaired because I was awakened at 5:30 by slamming doors. The breakfast is below average. The room was adequate.

Everything was pretty much average I do have 2 suggestions.... 1. add table lamps next to the bed so it isn't so dark. People like to read 2. The check-in process was excruciating. The clerk had to re-enter all my information when I prebooked on Hotels.com. Even after I pre-registered, it still took wayyyyy to long.

The man who checked us in made me feel very uncomfortable. He was not welcoming or informative at all. Then in the morning, house keeping started banging at our door at 10am. Check out wasn’t until 11am and we had a long trip so we were wanting to sleep in as long as possible but housekeeping knocked at our door about 5 different times starting at 10 and was trying to rush us out. When we finally walked out of the room at the check out time the housekeeper was very annoyed towards us and rude. Don’t set a check out time for a certain time when you’re not going to stick to it a rush people out.

If you're looking for a palace, this is not it! BUT, it is a clean, comfortable, affordable room if you're passing through Trinidad. This Super 8 is located on the north side of town with easy access to a Burger King and a couple of local eateries. The staff is so friendly and very accommodating. We always stay here when we're headed to Denver.

Wonderful location off highway 25. Great spot to stop. Nice breakfast. Staff is always helpful but a bit chatty. Quiet and clean rooms with a fridge and microwave. Coffee for the morning. Pet friendly too! Plenty of good food and services in town.

This is a great hotel for a good price. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was awesome with many healthy choices including fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal and waffle batter for the waffle iron. I had a very nice stay here and extended my stay for additional nights. The Trinidad Lake State Park is beautiful and peaceful too.

Upon checking we found spider crawling in our bed. Next morning when we went for breakfast at 8:00 am ( breakfast was from 6-9 am) everything was over and the lady at desk told there is nothing more left , when asked that bfast is till 9:00, she rudely said “I am. It going to argue with you”
