The property is in a great location. Onto the bad, there was 1 working elevator for the whole property. It was such a nightmare. You had to wait 20 mins each time because everytime it would open, it would be full of people. It was extremely fustrating having 3 kids and dealing with this. We ordered food from their restaurant 3 times. All 3 times had missing items. First order, they were missing our potatoes. Second order, they didnt give us syrup for pancakes and all the entrees were missing the toast. Third order, they didnt give the milk i ordered or the toast again. There were random ingredients missing from entrees cilantro, blueberries and strawberries like in the pictures of their food and never provided salt and and pepper ever. The food was good though. Just very frustrating to deal with.

It was within steps of the Convention Center. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Update or revise the food menus. Advise guests to quietly close doors instead of slamming them at all hours. Parking was ample. Wasn't able to use EV station as it was always full - need more slots and people need to move cars when done.

This place is okay- but there were noticeable downsides for what you get. There was a convention and our first night was so loud we got zero sleep, there’s construction that made only one elevator accessible while the stairs were locked or lead you the the first floor to the back office halls that made you get lost and the updates the hotel has made over the years are clearly ran through due to the number of visitors that it’s clear they need new invesments and while my review is harsh it’s true especially during a time where customers expect more value for their dollars and value their spending that much more. Overall service is still really good and location is strong

This hotel is located at the Convention Center and is fantastic! You can't beat the convenience when you have a conference here. This hotel is within walking distance of a variety of restaurants; staff are friendly; there's a Starbucks on site; and rooms are well maintained.

It's not dirty, the property just shows all the signs of wear and use, it just needs to be refurbished. The parking gates are a mess, wastes people time and is frustrating.

Property is centrally located and easy to get on or off the highway to travel to national parks. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. You do have to pay to park but it wasnt outrageous at $10 per night.

We only stayed 2 nights but we have walking restrictions and the lobby elevators were not working when we arrived. We had to walk our way through a maze to get to the service elevator or the other option of taking the stairway. Luckily we were on the second floor. Overall it was a very nice stay for two nights. The staff was extremely helpful and polite.

There were spider webs all along the top of our bathroom vanity. There was pink mold on the shower floor. We also found 3 BED BUGS in our towels. We killed two and trapped one to show receptionist.

Cleaned out and killed at least 5 large spider webs from the room. Window area was filthy, covered in dust and dead bugs. Wife and I both woke up covered in insect bites. My wife has about 16 bites and I have 5. They are large, red, and itchy but are certainly not mosquito. considering how many dogs were in the hotel we are wondering if they are flea bites. Except for the occasional dog barking the hotel was fairly quiet. We didn't try the restaurant, but if you want to pay $9.00 for a yogurt you can try the coffee shop for some food.

The shower room is awkward NARROW ( never met it at any other Marriot we lived ) , also with mouldy spots, which made me sick … The window curtain is very dirty with yellow or mouldy spots … We loved room 619 , which is very noisy .. So far , the worst stay compared any hotel we have lived …. Ruined our trip to sequoia national park , cause had a horrible night slept in … In addition , the shower water is extremely small .. speechless …

While it was a nice property, I found it was lacking in cleanliness and maintenance. The pool had an overwhelming amount of leaves and bugs in it. My daughter found a cup and fork in the hot tub. I came across two spiders in my hotel room as well as hair in the shower. Not my best experience.

The hotel lobby is nice, the staff was very friendly. The room was dirty, food stuck to the floor, it was questionable if the bed was changed as there were crumbs and hairs in the bed. The sink was overflowing, a prong had broke off the hair dryer and was stuck in the outlet, it would electrocute you when you even tried to use the other plug. Food dried up and stuck to the floor. The beds were like laying on a board. Very uncomfortable. Our room was a conjoining room and in the middle of the night our neighbors were trying to get through the door. Dogs were barking and crying. It was an all around terrible experience and we will not be back.

We stayed at the Visalia Marriott for the Miss CA Pageant. Our room was huge! Plenty of room for all of my daughter’s clothing and suitcases. The room was clean and airy. House keeping staff was always friendly and accommodating. We ordered room service several times late at night and the food was always quickly delivered by a friendly member of the staff. Front desk staff was super friendly and informative. I would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

terrible experience，our room was very close to the elevator and we could hear the elevator running all night. The room was also poorly soundproofed and we could hear any noise in the corridor. We could also hear the snoring of the occupants in the next room all night.

The room was extremely cold. Heating did not work, even after engineering came and did something. Finally they brought quilts which helped with sleeping but not beyond that.

Had a nice balcony view, but no chair to sit on and no table. I was going to put a chair from inside the room on the patio, but the sliding door was broken and would only open 1/3 of the way so the chair didn’t fit through the door.

The bedside USB chargers did not work. No clock in the room. Bed was 'squishy' for Marriott standards. Bathroom had no hand towel holder on the wall. Most of the furniture was chipped, room 601. Given the Marriott standard lobby, hallways, amenities, we were let down with the quality of the room.

Everything was great. Easy and clean. The only problem no had during my stay is that we were not able to connect to wifi the entire time which was a little frustrating but we weren’t in our room all that much and could use cell service for the most part.

I was very satisfied with my recent stay at the Visalia Marriott at the Convention Center. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Everything was spotless, including the lobby, common areas, and the rooms. And to top it all off, everything was easy to find and use. There was nothing to complain about. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again next time I'm in Visalia.

Great bar! Antonio was a wonderful bar host. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Room was clean and bed was comfy. A great stop on a longer road trip.

The room we stayed in was spacious and at first very clean. We initially planned to stay for 2 days but added an extra day because the downtown area was so close by and there was plenty to do. We added the extra day at 10am at the front desk and requested the room be cleaned and towels restocked. We returned to the room at 6pm and there was nothing done to it. We called the front desk and they said that housekeeping goes home at 4. This was very disappointing. They did manage to send towels up but i became discouraged to stay here again. Also, the elevator was not functioning and everyone had to use the service elevator to get to their rooms. This caused congestion for travelers already tired from arriving. Marlo at the bar was awesome! She was extremely pleasant and friendly. My wife and I really enjoyed are time with her.

Shortly after 1:00 am, I was awakened by a loud HVAC related sound, not part of my room's air conditioning system, with a scraping sound that intermittently rang out alongside the HVAC noise. This continued for the next 3 hours and I am NOT a light sleeper but I could not fall back asleep. I called the front desk and complained and the response was they would "send security" to my room to investigate. I told them it obviously was a maintenance issue and to please stop the sound. Nothing was done. I called 5 additional times: 3 at 2:30 am and at least twice more at 4:30 am when I got up to shower. No response from the front desk. When I confronted the front desk clerk he said they were having trouble with their phones. Needless to say, when you rent a hotel room, the minimum expectation is to have a peaceful night's sleep. There is obviously something wrong with the HVAC system for that room (at the end of a wing - #231) and I imagine others have complained about it but nothing done.

I be stayed here a few times and staff and facility has never disappointed me or my guest. Cristal was who we spoke to at the front desk and she was amazing. We also met Janet who was just as great. Thank you to the leadership team at Visalia Marriott for building such a great staff!

A very nice and sleek hotel located at downtown Visalia. Updated room/bathroom with a modern touch. Very nice layout of the room. I appreciate the well thought accessibility of the plugs and spacious room with sofa and lamp tucked on the side with small table. Hotel smells good and super clean just as everyone would want it. Easy parking access you just have to pay for it (no complimentary parking even for Marriott members) and you have in and out privileges. Short drive to Sequoia National Park. Would recommend!

Great spot to stay for visiting kings canyon and sequoia, although a bit more driving (30 minutes) time to your national parks days but in my opinion well worth it. Cost is comparable to staying closer to the park in 3 rivers but with nicer town amenities.

Great location. Walking distance to many restaurants. Parking available, although you may need to walk a little if you arrive late. I had just a couple of issues but nothing major. Coffee machine had a broken part but was still functional. I have stood at this hotel several times. This is why I know that a glass was missing. Both those things are no big deal to me but do make me feel like I have to tell them so that I don’t get charged for something I didn’t break or take. There was also toilet paper in the toilet when we arrived. It did not appear used so may of just been that the piece was torn off the old roll to fold by housekeeping. Who knows, like I said not a big deal. But it is only fair to mention since it might be for some. I checked in past 10pm. I was exhausted from a long day so decided not to say anything. However, to be fair I bet had I said something they would have addressed it. What was not appreciated was that I mentioned I was a Bonvoy member and the person who checked me in did not seem to care. I was provided a room next to the elevator on a lower floor. Those rooms are typically cheaper. I’ve spent more than 25 nights at Marriott this last year and always appreciate when I’m made to feel appreciated. Like I was just last week when I stood at Visalia Residence Inn. However, this is a great location, reasonably priced, and a fairly clean location.

This hotel is located at the Convention Center and is fantastic! You can't beat the convenience when you have a conference here. This hotel is within walking distance of a variety of restaurants; staff are friendly; there's a Starbucks on site; and rooms are well maintained.

The property is in a great location. Onto the bad, there was 1 working elevator for the whole property. It was such a nightmare. You had to wait 20 mins each time because everytime it would open, it would be full of people. It was extremely fustrating having 3 kids and dealing with this. We ordered food from their restaurant 3 times. All 3 times had missing items. First order, they were missing our potatoes. The hotel was decent and the decor was nice. The shower had some black stuff coming from the drain and the shower valve fell off completely. The Starbucks in the lobby was understaffed and only open for a few hours. Stayed here since it was conveniently located by the hospital and downtown. It was a short stay, but definitely had “business stay” vibes and not a great place to relax.

Stellar job of a hotel. Had a couple issues as I had back to back reservations and the keys stopped working between reservations. But that was resolved quickly. The food of the hotel restaurant was very good. They are just very understaffed and cannot handle the large amount of diners after a convention meeting. But other than those 2 things... Great stay.

The property and location were wonderful with excellent staff and beautiful rooms. The evening snack in the bar was delicious with accommodating service as well. The morning buffet, however, was the worst we have had and was an embarrassment to the Marriott. We arrived at 8am to find the majority of food containers empty, including eggs, bagels, oatmeal, etc. We put in an order for an omelet and received it 45 min. later. We were finally offered coffee after we asked three servers. The potato casserole was dried out and impossible to eat. I was amazed that they didn't refund the tables of people waiting for their food. And yes, the waffle machine worked but it was a mess that needed cleaning. This experience was the opposite of the Bakersfield facility. No doubt they were short of help. No excuse! The food service should have been prepared.

Breakfast was very good. Nice selection and better than average quality. The 2 middle-aged women with bob hair styles that were waiting tables and serving drinks were fabulous. The second morning we ate there (12/29/22) the restaurant was extremely busy and they were understaffed by at least 1 waitress. However, the service was both prompt and friendly. These 2 ladies are exceptional employees and should be commended for their superior customer service and hard work!

Do NOT book this hotel if you are planning to use the water feature and slides shown on here, it does not exist and while the hotels main website does not show it I’m sure they are more than happy to have families funnel in to this hotels thinking it does. The receptionist said this confusion happens all the time. Other than that the details matter and this hotel is lacking, at first glance the room is clean but after a bit the dust and stains are noticeable, the phone did not work, the tub stopper barely worked, the AC had to be turned on and off multiple times before it would actually kick on, the pool was dirty, every single lounger was broken. Great location for the national parks but won’t be staying here again
