The carpet outside the upper rooms was torn in spots and is a safety trip hazard. Bathroom door was hard to open and close it was dragging on the floor. Pool was cold not heated and needed some cleaning. Hot tub is not working and is a mess should be replaced or just removed. Wanted to check in a little early but there was a sign on the door that the office was closed no early check-in today come back at 4 pm. What's up with that ? Then when we got to our room the key cards did not work. Then the day before we were supposed to checkout the key cards stopped working again. Then about an hour before our normal checkout time the cards stopped working again. Good thing we didn't need the washer or dryer both of them had signs they were out of order. During check-in we were told that we would get a copy of our receipt in an email it never came through. So I asked for a printed copy and they said they couldn't print them. Ending on a good note the Breakfast selections are very good and very tasty.

Hot tub wasn’t working and there was dirt in it like it hadn’t been cleaned. The outside of the building is not maintained very well. There was a gasoline container left out by the fire pit. Towels and key cards left laying about the common areas outside.

Vicky was a great host. Letting us know about lack of Uber service to town for dinner and he was correct, so we ordered in. Setting us up with stuff, so we could have a last night bond fire. Facilities were clean & stocked. Rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was good and plentiful. we will be back.

The rooms were ok, but the outside property could use attention. The pool was green and murky. The balcony walkway was dangerous as the carpet was coming up causing a tripping hazard. The gravy was cold and my AC wasn’t working properly.

While the room was relatively clean the outside was really run down. There was outdoor carpet on the stairs and landings that were frayed and falling apart that posed a tripping hazard. The wood was rotted and needed repair.

Check-in was good. The room seemed clean but desperately needs renovated. The carpet was torn, doors veneer peeling off. Pool water was green, not fit to swim in. Property exterior was very dirty. Not sure how this Property has an excellent rating. Very deceptive rating !

The inside of our room was simple, but very nice. Probably remodeled recently. The steps up to the 2nd floor and the walk-way has old carpeting on it with pieces sticking up - trip hazards. Pool had thick, green water and hot tub not working at all. Pool unsafe to swim in. Breakfast was continental, and food was good.

The motel is pet friendly, but hotels.com says it is $20 per night to have a pet and they charged me $30 per night. They have not responded to my request to rectify this. The floors were dirty enough to make my feet black. The worst was getting locked out of my room, at night, because they hadn’t set my key correctly. They did not answer their nighttime phone, and I ended up having to call the police to get back into my room.

I arrived with my son and the room we were given was not clean. Both beds had hair on the sheets. There were no other blankets for the beds other then the sheets. I expressed my concern with the front office and they did not even attempt to do anything regarding the matter. I told them we did not feel comfortable staying at their hotel and we were refused a refund. We were also refused our room key after I asked for a refund. I would not recommend this establishment to any traveling to Estes park.

We loved our stay at the Blue Door! Maybe it’s an older place but inside our room everything was neat, tidy, clean, and there was no ‘old place’ smell. The water pressure in the shower was great and the bed was very comfortable. It probably only took us ten minutes to drive to the RMNP entrance from the inn and the area was quiet.

Here for one night during our trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. Check-in was easy and the room was spotless. It was probably one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. All of the little conveniences were included. I would definitely recommend if you are staying in the Estes Park area.

Old motel - partially remodeled - The 2 chairs were old and uncomfortable. Bed was okay. I don’t care for bathroom sink and vanity outside of the bathroom and located in the living/bedroom area. Door was old and had been kicked in before as the latch lock wasn’t working and door jamb chipped and broken off. Apparently there’s no hurry or reason to repair it. The room had an Old musty smell in room. Glad I carry Lysol. While in the small bathroom, a large spider crawled in under the door from the living/bedroom area. Obviously no pest control used. Wouldn’t stay here again. We didn’t bother eating the free continental breakfast. It just looked thrown together and unappealing.

Our room was very nice, clean and in good shape. We enjoyed our stay, except for the fact that the TV did not work. We could not get any channels on Dish whatsoever. The menu would come up, but nothing would show. Unfortunately, it was late at night before we realized so we had to watch Netflix fortunately we were able to login. It is very uncomfortable to watch the TV though from the bed since it’s on the side wall of the bed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay…woke up to seven elk outside our window, eating grass.

When I booked I chose "Pay at the hotel". In all previous instances, this has been at check-in. However, the charge hit my card that morning before we left our other hotel. It was also on a different card than the one I wanted to use for the stay. When I asked for it to be charged to another card the clerk (manager? owner?) said it was too difficult. Not pleased with that. Room was fine. I don\'t eat breakfast, so I can\'t rate it.

I rented two rooms. Room #1 the lamps and outlet were broken and tub wouldn’t drain. Room #2 had no AC. We had some last minute issues and didn’t check out until right at checkout, 11 am, but our keys stopped working at 10:30 am, which caused more issues with getting out in time. Friendly staff.

The property isn’t fancy, but what exactly what we needed. The staff was friendly & let us check in quite early. It’s the perfect location for Estes & RMNP entrance as well. The room was great & we enjoyed sitting outside under the pergola in the evenings.

A room with a view . Good breakfast too. Walkable to town , just follow the path to the riverwalk. It was a good walk for me but maybe a long ways for some which is about a mile but picturesque views. Bring food with you since I didn’t drive , I got delicious food for 2 days worth at The Cafe next to the clock tower. My room is enough for me . I didn’t have a car . Took a tour from Denver to the Rocky Mountains and Estes Park , nice guide dropped me off at this hotel after Estes Park tour then took a shuttle back to Denver Hotel . Worked out pretty well for me.

This is a great property if you want a reasonably priced room close to downtown Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Property could definitely use a face lift. Excellent water pressure in the showers!

Location is great, short driving distance to the restaurants and to Rocky Mountain. Check-in was pretty fast, the room (especially bathroom) was very clean. We also had a great sleep at night, it was so quiet there! The only downside was breakfast. Only unhealthy options, nothing was delicious at all! Paying 200$ per night you usually expect better quality. Overall it was a good one night stay for us

This was a great place for a weekend stay in Estes! Old Colorado feel, very clean. Breakfast wasn’t bad - just not a ton of choices. The only thing I’ll say that could be improved is the rooms need some updates, but are all very clean.
