It was a charming resort along the Fall River. Great location to Rocky Mountain National Park. It was nice they had outdoor seating by river and some outdoor entertainment like footballs, pool, putting green, teather ball.

This place was great! It was out of town a little, giving a secluded cabin like feeling but as sort of a motel. It. Also had a restaurant and bar attached which was great! Tons of sports activities and a swimming pool!

Overall we liked Cabin 1. It was a good size for our party of 4 and we appreciated the full kitchen. The beds were comfortable. We liked having a/c in each room. The views from the balcony were beautiful. The couch was thin and not very comfy. The other negatives were that we lost power in 1/2 the cabin the first night and therefore there was no a/c in one bedroom and no TV. It took until the next night for someone to come and restore power after 3 phone calls. Also, the pool was not open until the 3rd day we were there which was disappointing as we had an 8 year old and 12 year old with us and it was very warm. This was our first time staying at Nicky’s and I’m not sure we’d stay there again. There were definitely pros and cons but for the price we paid, it should have been better..

The property’s location is very beautiful and it is quiet. However, neither the heated pool was available nor there was bonfire. The property is not maintained well in terms of the rooms. Did find a few cockroaches. However, it is spacious and if you’re just going to spend the day out then it’s a good option to sleep at. Very near to the exit of the National Park. Check in, check out process is easy and you don’t need to meet the property manager.

Pros The location is great. 4 minutes from RMNP. Close to Estes Park too. Self check in was nice. Had a lock box with keys in it for the door. Cons We paid extra for an updated room. It was still very dirty. The towels all had stains on them and had a brown color to them. We wanted to get more towels because we only got 2 but there was no service desk so no one to ask so I had to use the hand towels. The carpet was also stained. The walls had brown streaks on them. I don’t think the heater had been dusted since it was put in. Plus it was either no heat or 100 degrees. No in between. The door was very tricky to lock. We always had to try it 3-4 times before we could get it to lock. It would lock on the bottom but not the top most of the time. The parking lot is WAY too small. We had chevy 1500 truck and it barely fit between the lines and it stuck out past the lines into the parking lot. I was sure someone was going to door ding or hit us while we were parked there. We will definitely pay extra to get a better place next time!

Great location! Just mins from downtown Estes Park & the entrance to the RMNP. Love the river that runs through the property, all the amenties, and the convenience of Wapiti being outside your door for some food or a drink. I was worried about the "no contact check-in & check-out", but it went very smoothly. The staff was very attentive to texts whenever we needed anything. We had a great time. Definitely recommend it.

Only stayed here for one night due to travel plans but would’ve loved to stay longer. The room was super cozy, quiet, and clean. We arrived late around 6 but the pool was open until 8 so we decided to take advantage of it. We had the pool all to ourselves and the water was super warm, which is much needed with the cool Colorado air. It’s a cute little resort in a row of other great motels/cabins but for a great cost. Wish we had more time to eat at the restaurant bc the food smelled delicious!

The location for Nicky’s Resort is great. It sits beside a river, has an attached restaurant, and is only minutes to downtown Estes Park and the entrance to RMNP. There is a small four-hole putting green, pool, fire pit, a small deck overlooking the river, and beautiful hanging baskets of flowers. The deck could use some sprucing up with new furniture, and the fire pit would be a great place to relax after a long hike if it had some comfy furniture. Housekeeping in our hotel room was lacking. The beds were clean and there were no bugs so we stayed, but the baseboards were covered in dust, there were crumbs under the microwave and behind the refrigerator, the shower was very moldy in the corners and the air conditioner spit out tiny black specks onto the bed the entire time we were there. The room definitely needed a deep cleaning. The price was good, and since we were trying to spend very little, Nicky’s fit the bill. Honestly, this place has great potential. If the deck were repainted, the furniture on the deck and around the fire pit replaced, and the room was cleaner, it would be a fabulous place to stay. As it is, I’d say it’s just okay.

The staff were quick to respond to requests for towels and sheets, but our room was pretty dirty upon checking in. Tooth paste was all over the sink and bathroom door and dirty wash cloth left in tub. Parking is a little tight but this place has a decent pool and is very close to down town Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.

We were not sent our code to access our room like promised. We had to call to get the code. The room was not very clean, hair in the tub and on the bathroom floor, dusty all over. One of the mattresses was very hard and uncomfortable and the bedding was old and worn. The area is beautiful but the place needs a deep cleaning and updates.

I was very disappointed in this room. The ceiling in the shower had a large moldy, damaged spot and there was mold all around the tub. The bathroom floors were also not clean. The towels and bed covers had been washed, but were stained from years of use. All of them need to be replaced. The room was cute, but not at all worth what I paid. The location is nice - away from main street, but just minutes from RMNP and restaurants and shops.

I could probably deal with the horrible wifi, paper thin walls, random dust/ paint chips everywhere, if the beds weren't completely disgusting. The beds from head to toe were covered in what looked like 3 different sets of people and their dogs hair. Additionally all extra blankets and linens were also covered in hair. I understand you get what you pay for but there is a reasonable standard of cleanliness anywhere you go, and this was nowhere close. The reviews on here are way too inconsistent and frequent for such a small place, would definitely recommend looking for a better place in the area even if you have to pay a bit more its worth it to actually be able to sleep. Other people with the same experiences.

Room was dark and had a musty smell, was old and out dated. Carpet was filthy. Bed was lumpy and creaky however the sheets were clean. Shower was old with chips in porcelain but it did have great water pressure and very hot water. No recycling. Would not stay here again and disappointed it was an Expedia VIP property.

The room was mostly clean and had a good appearance. The bed was ok, however the bed skirt was filthy. The bathroom was being taken over with mold all around the tub top, all 4 walls, and the anti-slip mat should have been thrown away or cleaned as was disgusting.

The location was good but for the price it was a lil letdown. So to summarize we paid over $600 for a two night stay. The beds were so hard it gelt like we were sleeping on the floor, the pillows were either extra firm which was only one or complete flat. The futon couch was so worn out all you feel is the springs. We like the air bnb feel but for the aesthetic of inside the room it wasn’t worth the money. Maybe try and either do some updates or bring down your prices a tad. The toliet hardly flushed, and there was a tad bit of black mold in the shower at the base of the caulking.

Easy to check in. The room was clean and quiet. The bed wasn't the highest quality but for the price was fine. There's a nice restaurant right across we walked to. The hotel is right on a creek and lots of areas the have a cookout or bonfire along it.

Really liked the Quaint cabin like room. Bed was nice and comfortable. Great location near National Park. Screen door was broken and had a few holes. Superficial cleaning. Dropped my glasses behind the dresser and it was not clean.Some cobwebs. Did not like having everything automated. No one to ask immediate questions. Enjoyed the gas fireplace.

Really good overall. But disappointed with the internet not working, made it hard to plan dinner / next day routes/maps, etc. had WiFi and access but was not able to connect with our phones or laptops. Probably too many people. We were on the first floor, and unfortunately could hear every step above us this morning at 6am. Far from ideal.

We enjoyed the sports shed that had balls, golf gear, and fishing rods. The water pressure is great. The window AC unit was inefficient and had lights on it that shine in your face all night. The shower current was cloth and caused the bathroom to flood each time the shower was used.
We enjoyed the sports shed that had balls, golf gear, and fishing rods. The water pressure is great. The window AC unit was inefficient and had lights on it that shine in your face all night. The shower current was cloth and caused the bathroom to flood each time the shower was used.

The heat vents could be cleaned. The pillows weren’t to my liking. The coffee machine stops before cycling all the water. AC operation lights are very bright. Floors were very creaky, I’m sure the people below our room weren’t very happy.

I'd prefer a person to check me in instead of going through all the codes and texts. Emily the property manager was very kind and helped us get checked in. I didn't like that we had to take the trash out, and take the bedding off the beds. But on the whole restaurant on site, and 4 miles from RMNP.

Well they need to ease the check in process by having a dedicated guy in the office , The guy was helpful but had to go through a lot because of the online check in process , I am young and I was able to do it with ease but found an old couple who had driven for 23 hours and were wondering how to check in , It was sad to see them struggle but eventually everything worked out sir

Not your typical hotel/motel environment. Parking is limited and not clear. No front desk. Was sent a code to get in the unit. However, when I arrived, the door was wide open. I had to doublecheck to make sure I had the right room. AC didn’t cool the room. Booked for three people, only enough towels for two. Keurig did not work—tried multiple outlets. Did not expect to have to empty our own trash. We were there less than 12 hours, so didn’t see a need to contact the property about any of these issues. We figured it out. But for the price, we shouldn’t have had any issues. Room was large and would be nice for an extended stay.

Great location! Just mins from downtown Estes Park & the entrance to the RMNP. Love the river that runs through the property, all the amenties, and the convenience of Wapiti being outside your door for some food or a drink. I was worried about the "no contact check-in & check-out", but it went very smoothly. The staff was very attentive to texts whenever we needed anything. We had a great time. Definitely recommend it.

Get what you pay for kind of place. Location was great for the park but we did not receive check in or check out instructions and there was no front desk so had to call and get the instructions verbally. WiFi was troublesome in the evenings, likely when too many people were trying to access. Also the bathroom was unusually small for what was otherwise a very spacious room

Loved everything about it. We were in room 102. Charming, clean, beautiful I had a problem with my Keurig coffee pot not working and David brought one right over at 7:30 in the morning. I was very impressed with him and grateful would definitely come back. The restaurant also was wonderful

I recently stayed 6 nights at Nicky's and I loved my stay. It was affordable and very clean. The setting is serene and you need only step out of the parking lot and take a beautiful stroll along the river. My room was maintained with care and the check in was seamless. The electronic communications were clear and concise. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I plan on returning and recommending. It is less than 3 miles from the RMNP Fall River entrance and about the same to downtown Estes . Perfectly located.

The location for Nicky’s Resort is great. It sits beside a river, has an attached restaurant, and is only minutes to downtown Estes Park and the entrance to RMNP. There is a small four-hole putting green, pool, fire pit, a small deck overlooking the river, and beautiful hanging baskets of flowers. The deck could use some sprucing up with new furniture, and the fire pit would be a great place to relax after a long hike if it had some comfy furniture. Housekeeping in our hotel room was lacking. The beds were clean and there were no bugs so we stayed, but the baseboards were covered in dust, there were crumbs under the microwave and behind the refrigerator, the shower was very moldy in the corners and the air conditioner spit out tiny black specks onto the bed the entire time we were there. The room definitely needed a deep cleaning. The price was good, and since we were trying to spend very little, Nicky’s fit the bill. Honestly, this place has great potential. If the deck were repainted, the furniture on the deck and around the fire pit replaced, and the room was cleaner, it would be a fabulous place to stay. As it is, I’d say it’s just okay.

Great place to stay to go to Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s 2 miles down the road and there’s a grocery store 4-5 miles in the opposite direction.we stayed a week. Bed was comfy linens were clean. Room was clean. Only issues were Not a lot of outlets tub drained slow and the last night we had no cable tv to watch. There is a restaurant at the front of the property. We ate there the first night didn’t really care for it. Nothing seemed homemade like the menu said. It appeared to be food delivered by Sysco. I wasn’t expecting fine dining but instant potatoes on the shepherd pie just didn’t cut it. I would actually stay there again as it’s priced right and so convenient to Rocky Mountain park.

We stayed in the river suites. The smell of cedar was amazing! The fireplace worked well and the water was nice and hot! Perfect spot for traveling to RMNP and Estes. We didn’t get a chance to eat at Wapiti but the drinks were mixed well and strong! The only reason why it’s not a 5 star for us is that the wifi was spotty, the tv didn’t work well, and the ice machine was always empty. Other than that everything was great

This is a cute hotel property. Rooms are decorated to match the theme of the mountains. It will fit in right downtown Gatlinburg! Check in was easy and the area was super quiet. Located directly in front of the hotel is a restaurant (The Wapiti) which has delicious food and a wonderful array of alcohol beverages. The hotel and restaurant make a great combination.

We have stayed at several hotels in Estes Park over the years. First time at Nicky’s. Great location for enjoying the area. About a mile easy walk to the center of town all on a rec path. The restaurant is pretty good. Nice atmosphere and good service.

There is a restaurant on the property, but they don’t serve breakfast. If you want breakfast, you have to drive into town to get it. The rooms were very cozy and clean. The bathroom was tiny though, and that made it hard to get ready in the mornings. I would still stay at this hotel again as I enjoyed my stay.

This 'resort' needs a complete remodel. There is outdoor green carpet on the walkways that was stained, and smelled like urine and old beer in some sections. The interior flooring (laminate) was sticky and the floor was squishy when walking on it (I weigh 110 pounds). The bathroom is barely a closet, and the grout needs replacing. The windows/screens were damaged (screens didn't fully seal). The pool had haphazard fencing around it and was covered by tarping material (not open/functional despite being listed as an amenity). I would not stay here again.

Started off great with quick responses and very helpful. Once we arrived we had room issues and tried for several hours to get staff to speak with us and were unsuccessful. Ended up leaving and not staying the night. Still haven’t had them contact us.

The check in process was not good, they have lock boxes at each door to enter your room, i was sent a note ( I suppose with the room number) that I could not open the attachment. The office was not manned & after several attempts a staff member came out of the locked office to help us. The rooms were clean, the pool was covered & the outdoor trash cans were overflowing.
