THE BEST view of Longs Peak, and Twin Sisters right on the other side. Historical lodge with trails all around it- there was even a humble breakfast in the lobby. Peaceful and so close to estes park. Recommend.

This property has lots of potential but it seems neglected with no amenities at this point in time. Not even a coffee maker or fridge (or TV, on purpose) in the room. And my phone didn’t work at all when I was there. I was told the property was recently sold so maybe it will be redone in time. When we were there, it was desolate. Only about 4 cars in the parking lot at any given time. It felt a little weird. But like I said, the place has all kinds of potential. But there’s nothing going on there right now. On the plus side, it’s away from all the bustle of the city, very quiet, kinda quaint, and most importantly clean.

Amazing little retreat away from the bustle of downtown Estes. The staff is amazing, friendly, and helpful. The setting is spectacular! The 24-hour tea station was my favorite feature.

There is no air conditioning l; WiFi didn’t work; no breakfast or dining

We told them WiFi didn’t work and we were told to turn phone off then on again ; it didn’t work at all the first time we stayed their 7/27/23 and we tried to cancel our second reservation on the return trip 7/31/23 and was told they would not give us a refund so we were forced to stay again or lose our $197 deposit; Expedia even called them on our behalf, in advance and were told they would not let us out of the second reservation without penalty; Well guess what WiFi didn’t work again; couldn’t check into our flight because of no service; also there is no air conditioning in this facility and room gets very hot And uncomfortable; opening windows didn't help nor did the old ceiling fan in the room; bathroom is tiny and old; toilet is low to the ground and the bath tub is old and you have to step over it in a confined space to try to get a shower; getting out of the shower is very dangerous because it is so slippery; this bathroom is not for older adults that have difficulty with balance and knee issues; for the price of this place per night you would expect better facilities; also no food on property; you need to bring your own and put it in a tiny community fridge near a tiny microwave or drive to find a places to eat; the only amenity is free ice water or hot tea and an apple or orange if any are left in bowl; you can buy a can of soda for $2 and a bag of snack chips for an inflated price if you are hungry.

The property is old but has Character, I Didn't know the Lodge was Daoism, but it was very quiet and the staff was great. No active Kitchen, so we had to go down to Estes Park to eat. They did provide pastries in the morning. No TV, or Internet connection. There was Wifi if you wanted to phone out. If you don't have children that need to be entertained, then I would recommend it for a getaway for a weekend. There is Horseback Riding next door.

It was a good area but I didn't like that it had no fridge in the rooms or microwave. I definitely didnt like the bed was very old and uncomfortable!!! Staff was definitely nice.

Everything was closed and we only saw one other couple. It's a great place to stay if you're looking for complete silence and want to be cut off from the outside world. We won't stay there again.

Beautiful space with comfortable relaxed atmosphere. They had an outside fire put area which was just a short walk from the main lodge. Beautiful main lobby space. Smells a bit like horses outside but not a major deterent. Lived the location and how close ot was yo hiking and away from the business of Estes Park, but close enough to go down there for food etc.

Definitely a no frills stay. But rooms were very clean If you’re looking for off the beaten path then this is for you. Pay attention when you drive in to locate the office( it’s around the back)

The lodge is in a great location for entering the rocky mountain National park southeast entrance, and if you like to be away from the tourist traffic. The room is comfortable and bathroom very dated. It is a quick drive into town. What the lodge fails to mention is that they do not offer any daily service. So if you plan to stay multiple days, that means no clean towels or additional toilet paper. Maybe you can ask- but that requires finding someone to ask. After we checked in, we never saw a front desk person until we left.

The shower wasn't connected to the faucet in the tub. The water was light brown colored It left grit on your skin. I brought bottled water which we used for tooth brushing and drinking.The lock on the back door had a loose plate so it did not work.There is no signage when you arrive or directions to check-in. The internet is very spotty.

The carpet in the room was dirty and smelly

carpets were not cleaned. some kind of white matter was all over the carpet. shower curtain was wet and had not been opened to allow to dry. beds were good and shower was good. quiet area.

Spotlessly clean, charmingly rustic and quiet, comfortable beds, beautiful location about 14 minutes drive from Estes Park. The only drawback was no coffee before 8:30 a.m. and no breakfast or any food available at all. Would happily stay there again and recommend to friends.

Staff pleasant, room and grounds clean, quiet. Toilet tank leaks causing tank to keep refilling. Ceiling fan rattles.

Very Quiet and secluded off road. Easy check-in/out. Room was clean and ready. Road needs work, but it's the mountains!

worst experience in my life. no microwave and no small refrigerator in room. no staff on duty in whole place. causing itching in my chest and back with their bed. Guest wifi is a joke and interrupted every 30 minutes (need to restart your phone and reconnect). Also wifi bandwidth is ridiculously slow.

It was so great! I loved everything about this place and the stuff was amazing The only downgrade was the lack of service over there and the WiFi was horrible I missed the time entry tickets sale to the national park because of that

This was a nice relaxing place to stay. Just know what to expect. There is no air conditioning, no tv’s and very limited Wi-Fi. This is very good or very bad depending upon your expectations. We knew this going in, but heard others complaining, which we rolled our eyes at. The rooms were a bit hot at night, but if you crack your windows during the day, it helps tremendously. The staff was very friendly and the views are terrific! It was an overall positive experience.

As others said. Great if you want to disconnect. No TV. Cell service was one bar and unreliable. Wi-Fi per person was 1.5 Mb/s - nearly useless (disconnected me when trying to make reservations in national Park timed entry so couldn’t go).

Booked very last minute but Kristina happily accommodated us! She was super helpful and made it easy for us to come and go throughout the night cause we were watching for the Northern Lights. We'd go again!

We saw one staff member for 10 mins on the day of check in and check out. We were there for 2 nights, our car was the only one besides staff car. I don’t think there were any guests in our building. It was very strange and weird, we never saw any people in the lobby. Reception area was always empty. Room was clean. There are no facilities on the property except water and coffee in the lobby till 8 am.

I got very ill and tried to cancel my reservation and they made no exceptions

THe staff were great and very welcoming. THe property is simple, but clean and well kept. Nothing fancy, but the outside makes it fancy and perfect!!!!

Staff is very helpfull. We had a realy nice stay, its quiet and peaceful. And close to Estes park.

If you are looking for remote property, this is it! BEAUTIFUL lodge between mountain peaks. The staff were very friendly and genuinely interested in our trip, provided helpful recommendations!

The location is great, you can sit on the back porch and look at Longs Peak. Its quite and gives you a chance to get away. The style is older and could benefit from some renovations. The staff is also small and not always at the front but not a huge deal. Overall, it was exactly what I was looking for to do some hiking in the park.

One of the best places to stay if you don't want to be in town, but still close enough to run into town for food and shopping.

Close to Rocky and that was really all we needed!

Like the area. Very beautiful mountain view, quiet. It is a good deal for the money you pay compared with other properties around the areas. Staffs are friendly and even offer snacks, water, fruits, coffee and tea at the lobby. Close to Long peak , twin sister, Lilly Lake trail. Cons: no cell service. Need to log in wifi every 1 hr. No room service. Will stay here again next time since i like the quietness, amazing mountian view!

Had a great time. The property was very relaxing. The kids enjoyed the fresh fruit available at the front desk. The whole staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Great place all around. For people looking, be aware that this place has limited WiFi, limited service, no coffee. Those were surely missed, but otherwise there were no complaints - - it was great.

After we saw the property we decided not to stay. DOA house is located far from Estes Park. There were no restaurants on the property or near by.
