The room was fine. However housekeeping was only available for an additional charge of $25 a day which was not specified on the hotel website. Items which were missing from our room (shampoo) could not be delivered, we had to go to the desk to fetch them. The fitness room consisted of one treadmill, one bike, and a small selection of dumbbells without a bench to use them. The area gym which the website states that hotel guests receive a discount apparently does not exist. The breakfast used a lot of disposables. The hotel is a walkable distance from the beach and it was nice to have a voucher for beach chairs and an umbrella.

Elevator broken during trip and not an amazing breakfast, but was very very good especially for the affordable price. The room was larger than expected, the free golf was a nice plus too, and within walking distance of the beach. Would definitely return if I am in the area again.

Good location. Clean and modern…staff was caring and helpful. They provide some useful amenities like free beach gear (chair and umbrella) each day. Coupon for free mini golf (right next door) and discount at restaurant next door that was excellent. Only pan is the $25 per day parking fee! This isn’t Washington DC or Boston….stupid fee NOT provided when making our reservation on Expedia.

Awesome stay. Great hotel for the location and value. Pet friendly was awesome. Staff was great. We wanted a quick get away for a family after a tragedy and the stay was great. Staffing seemed a little short at busier times but remained friendly.

We stayed here for a long weekend away. There were a good handful of restaurants and convenience stores close by. The beach was a few blocks away, as you had to walk across the main road and walk to Cedarwood to get to the public walk-way. My only complaints were that room service had a fee, and that there was nothing to clean the gym equipment with. I’ve never been to a hotel in which room service was only provided if you paid for it, as most hotels I’ve stayed in, had it included. You also had to pay $10/day to park the car in the lot. The breakfast bar from 7-10 was nice. I liked how there was tea, coffee, and cookies offered throughout the day in the front of the hotel. Overall, I would come back if I were ever in the area again.

The hotel is very clean, staff very friendly and it's in a walking distance to the beach. Pool was cold, not sure it's heated as advertised, and the breakfast was quite repetitive and lacking healthier choices. The rooms, beds, linens and bathrooms are all new and very clean, and the hotel provides hot tea, coffee, juices, and lemon water 24hr/day which is very nice. The only negative is that you are paying $25 per night for parking and there is an additional charge for room service, that can add up quickly. The beach access is actually blocked by enormous buildings of Sea Colony, so you have to walk around their gated facilities to get to the public beach, that's a bit annoying!!! But it's not a long walk 10 min or so.Overall nice hotel,

Nice hotel with breakfast and (pay) parking. Staff friendly. Hotel had many guests but never felt crowded - except breakfast! But who doesn’t appreciate breakfast included these days. The carpeting in rooms gives a dated appearance - and is not the most hygienic especially for a hotel that allows pets. There were plenty of dogs. Pool wasn’t heated and was cold! The free mini golf coupons were appreciated and the kids used them. There were also two vodka drinks in the fridge - these touches (the drinks, cookies offered in afternoon, water in lobby and coupons and discounts for nearby things) do make a difference. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the beach especially as once you reach the beach / boardwalk it is the section with no sand! Just dunes and a small spit of sand. Overall good hotel but on pricey side.

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel,we loved.However,this time the bathroom wasnt clean,the bath tub was very dirty,full of hair,I used the ice bucket to trow some body wash,so we can use it.Otherwise,no complaint at all,love everything,the staff are wonderful.We will come back!

It was an okay place for one night. Our room had a musty smell and the bathroom Also did not smell very clean. We were told to be quiet in the lobby or to move outside. I wish there was another common area for guests to gather.

What a wonderful stay we had at Hotel Bethany Beach! A very short walk to the beach, a lovely outdoor pool, delicious free adult beverages in the fridge and vouchers for beach umbrella and chairs- they really thought of everything! Walkable to a handful of dining options and super short drive to the Bethany boardwalk. I’d give it all 5 stars but the room was not ready until close to 5 and the bed was a bit too firm for my liking. That said, hoping to make this an annual end of the school year trip. Highly recommend!

The rooms were very large with a sofa and ottoman. There was also a table and chairs. We really liked a separate compartment with a fridge, microwave, kuerig and sink. We used the gym and the outdoor pool which were nice. The hotel is a great location and we walked to most of our dining options and miniature golf. The staff was wonderful and I would highly recommended staying at this hotel.

Good hotel, overall a little overpriced. We had a nice stay. The room was clean, worn-in but comfortable. Air conditioning & WiFi worked well. Appreciated having a well working mini fridge and microwave in our room. They charge $25/night for parking which isn’t unusual for a hotel except it’s pretty necessary to have a car just to be at the hotel and there isn’t another option to park nearby. It’s just an up-charge tacked on for the busy season, I would rather have it rolled into the daily rate as it’s pretty unavoidable and leaves you feeling a little swindled. They offered a lot of nice perks like 2 free vouchers for mini golf next door, 2 free beach chairs & 1 parasol rental, botanical garden vouchers, 2 complimentary cans of alcoholic beverage as well as a discount for the seafood house right next door. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was so-so. Between the distance from beach & additional parking fee, I found the hotel to be on the pricey side for what you get. The vouchers for perks were appreciated but I wouldn’t say they offset the overall value.

The room we stayed in (king) was very nice, but the hotel itself is very interesting. The walls are very thin and you can hear just about anything and everything. They don’t tell you about parking fees until you get there which is a little annoying. Other than that it was a fine place

Nice place and very reasonable price. Service was excellent and bed was super comfy. Decent breakfast in morning and lots of places to eat close by. You can’t actually see the ocean from hotel even though it’s only a block away because there’s a large resort in the way blocking the view, the resort also makes getting onto the beach a bit longer because you have to go around it but overall a nice place and I’d definitely recommend it and stay here again if I was in town.

The property was a very short walk to the beach. It was very walkable. The property was modern and clean. The room we were in was next to the elevators and boiler room. It was extremely noisy and we got no sleep. It was like sleeping next to a train track. Constant buzzing and rattling. The AC unit was also noisy. This was the only reason I would not stay at this hotel in the future. Parking was also $25 a day.

Wonderfull staff. Real helpful in changing a date (our error) when we booked a second night. Unfortunately, Hotels.com we had trouble understanding the agent we spoke with and communication was really difficult. After an hour plus with help of Cathy, desk clerk at Hotel Bethany Beach we finally were able to get date changed on reservation. The kindness of all the staff to make your stay is superb. They serve a fine breakfast and room was extra clean and comfortable. Highly recommend Hotel Bethany Beach.

The things that I didn’t like the fact that you had to ask to have your garbage emptied and the towels replaced. Not something I ever experienced in my life. The staff was very friendly but not very helpful. The breakfast buffet was unorganized and they ran out of coffee a couple of days. It seemed like they were under staffed. We tried to get a room service meal , no one answered the phone at the front desk at 6 , 6:10 and at 6:20 . We decided to go out. We stopped at the front desk and asked the young lady how to order room service. She replied that we should call the front desk. We said we did and nobody answered. She replied that she was busy. Never asked if she could help us. Very unprofessional and we were very disappointed with our stay

This is not a good choice to stay in Bethany Beach. Room was not ready until hours after check in, the room had food from the previous guests, and the staff didn’t seem to care at all. On the day of checkout I received a pending charge on my card from the hotel that no one could explain. This is a common problem I have since read about at this Hotel. The manager, Michael, just kept telling me it was not their charge and they don’t know why or how it appeared on my Amex account. He eventually took my invoice from me and told me I couldn’t have anything and to leave as he was calling the police. A new pending charge deserves an explanation, especially when I lost trust in this hotel more and more throughout the stay. Real bad experience all around.

Everything was amazing. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They acknowledged our presence each time we came in and exited. They were eager to help with anything. They made us feel welcomed. The breakfast is generous. There is something for everyone. The TV's are updated with Smart TV's. Rooms were bright and cherry and clean! We loved everything!

The room smelled strongly of bleach, and the hotel staff was terrible. They gave our room to other guests and then provided us with a key to a room that was already occupied. It was clear they had no idea what they were doing. Location was safe and about 15 minutes walk to the main beach entrance.

I stayed here over the weekend with my daughters because they’d decided we all ‘needed’ a beach weekend. Check in was quick and easy; the staff clearly explained the amenities, some of which were two free mini golf vouchers, free chairs for the beach, and a discount at a nearby restaurant. Plus, there were two free drinks in the room fridge. Our room was clean and everything was in working order. I found the beds to be extremely comfortable, and I don’t usually sleep well in hotels. The girls tried the pool and it was clean, water was cold but to be fair, it’s September. Lol. The location was great—the walk to the beach was easy. We loved that there was a nearby restaurant and shops and mini golf. The free breakfast was pretty good, too. The only negative, was paying for parking. There’s a large lot, so I don’t really get the point in that. I think it was $25/night. We’d definitely stay here again!

The hotel is conveniently located across the street from Sea Colony. The beach entrance is across the street and over one block. The boardwalk is a short walk away. There’s a CVS, Dunkin Donuts and several good restaurants on the same block. They offer warm cookies and coffee daily at 2 pm. You can rent bikes at the hotel. The free breakfast area is nice. The front deck employees are wonderful. They charge an extra parking fee of $10 a day throughout the year. Although off season (late fall/winter) if staying midweek for 4 or more nights you can ask them if they will wave the fee. One reason why that’s a negotiable item is that your room is only cleaned pre arriving & post arriving. You can ask for additional towels or soap at the front desk.

This hotel is such a great location, easy to walk, bike, or drive to restaurants, shops, beaches, etc. Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, amazing bed! The only negative I found was that there was no non-slip mat or strips in the bathtub, no grab bar, and very slippery tub. Surprised that's not a requirement but everything else was wonderful.

The staff here is exceptional. All were friendly and helpful. The property is clean and the beds are comfortable with an abundance of fluffy pillows. The only thing that would have improved the room for me would be to have more counter space at the bathroom sink. There is a fee to park in the parking lot. It is $25/night in peak season, but it was $10/night during our October stay. There is a modest free breakfast included in the stay, which was quite sufficient for us. The property is about a block from the ocean, but there is a big condo complex to walk around, so the walk to the beach is actually about 3 blocks. We didn't find that to be a problem.
