Hilton Garden Inn Tampa Northwest/Oldsmar

The pool was closed for most of the day, the gym had no A/C, it was very warm in there and the Keurig in the room wasn't working so I had to leave the hotel to get coffee in the afternoon. Besides these, everything else was fine.

We were totally disappointed that the pool was closed! It was 90 degrees! We had every intention of using the pool and relaxing by it!

There is no hot tub at this property even though it's in the pictures. The pool however is wonderful calming and salt water honestly the best part of the hotel.It's nice and quiet. I was given an accessible room when that's not the room I booked. The room was a little outdated and window shade fell down and broke. Housekeeping said she didn't speak English or know what garbage was? Aside from all of that, I was there for business and had a decent stay.

Great hotel, the staff is very accommodating and kind. Fitness center is nice.

Property was under renovation , got in elevator it did not work so other elevator would not come down so had to use the stairs

I Very unhappy with the pool being empty and broke. I was looking forward to using that amenity. I would have liked to have been informed earlier in a phone call or email that it was down and unusable and be offered a room in a different establishment nearby. I would expect to be refunded or at the least heavily discounted. Thank you.

Room was clean but the pool was dirty. There were leaves and trash in the pool floating. Staff is nice though

I feel like they need to have the description altered because neither qualifies as a restaurant or a bar. The WI-FI was not working for most of my time there. The staff were friendly. I have stayed in this area before the first time at this hotel I will probably not rebook there.

We enjoyed our stay, the staff were WONDERFUL. The only negative was the maintenance. Two ice machine were broke, the laundry was also broke, our fridge didn’t work and we had issues with the room keys not opening doors. Other than maintenance issues, the room was spotless and very clean. The staff go above and beyond and made us feel welcome. The pool was clean and well maintained

Room had an funky odor upon check in. Staff corrected first night with spay, all good. Upon return next night the funk was back but much reduced. Management stated they would shampoo the carpet.

Upon arriving around 2 AM, the woman at the front desk was extremely rude and unwelcoming. When we got to our room, it smelled strongly of mildew. The hotel itself feels very old, with a cheap paint job to make it look updated. The fixtures were dirty, the blinds were half ripped off, and overall the room felt neglected. They don’t provide complimentary water bottles, just overpriced generic ones in the room. On top of that, the listing claimed breakfast was included, but it was not. Very disappointing experience and definitely not worth the money.

The hotel carpets were very dirty and worn out. It made the whole place look bad. The decor also needed updating. Housekeeping only serviced our room once in 4 days we stayed. Bed was not comfortable - disappointing compared to other Hilton Gardens we have stayed at.

The property was fine, I wasn’t there long but there was mold on the ceiling in the bedroom area and the ac vent in the shower was full of dust. There were no tissues in the sink container.

I wanted to provide a better review, but unfortunately, my stay was not very pleasant. The cleanliness of the first room I was given was unacceptable. While lying down, I felt something on the bed that I initially thought might be an insect. Upon checking, I realized the linens had likely not been changed, as there were crumbs and red stains on the sheets. This was very unsettling, knowing I had just laid in a bed that didn’t seem properly cleaned after the last guest. I requested that the room be thoroughly turned down with fresh linens, but I was told no housekeeping staff were available. Instead, I was moved to another room. Ironically, on my way there, I saw a housekeeper in the hallway with a garbage can—right after being told no one was available. The second room was only slightly better. It felt damp and musty, which may have been due to humidity or recently cleaned carpets. After a few hours with the air conditioner running, the room improved somewhat, but overall, the atmosphere was uncomfortable. The next morning at checkout, staff did not ask about my stay, offer an apology, or provide any form of compensation for the inconvenience. Since I was only staying one night, I decided not to escalate the situation, but it was disappointing customer service nonetheless. Additionally, the hotel does not provide complimentary breakfast. They do offer a breakfast buffet for around $15, though I did not try it. Fortunately, there are several restaurants nearby. Overall, 👎

Clean and spacious rooms

The blinds in my room didn’t work Wouldn’t let up so room was dark.

Room was very clean, large, and nicely designed but showed lots of wear (heavily torn shower curtain, completely missing black-out shade so room very bright in the morning, both beds very lumpy with soft with pits and valleys)

Very comfortable and quiet.

Had to hear the guy next to us getting banged several times. I dont know if the walls are too thin or he left his side of the joining door open.

All was good except the pillows which flattened out like pancakes. Worst hotel pillows I have had.

Older building. Recently renovated. All that was fine. Clerk had a bit of an attitude because I booked through Hotels.com and got a king room. He was frustrated as to how that could have happened because those rooms weren’t ready supposedly. I didn’t care what bed I had as a solo on a business trip. Shower gel was empty which one does not find out until you’re in the shower…. Problematic. TV was the clunky old fashion cable tv where channels are all over the place. It setting on the low cabinet rather than hanging on the wall where you can see it lying in the bed.

Checked me into a room that had no curtain on the rod the staff told me there’s a way to fix it but that there was nobody there to actually fix it so I had to figure it out myself. Asked to switch rooms says the curtain was completely missing. Then once we got into the new room the curtains stopped working (they were motorized) I had to manually pull them down. Then it wouldn’t open in the morning and the lighting sucked in the room. Overall not a very good experience for it being a Hilton hotel.

Everything was good. Travis at the front desk was wonderful! He made it very easy and was very accommodating.

Booked King bed room and got two queens. This has never happened to me before, and the bed actually mattered. Was told it’s due to booking through third party. Terrible customer service! Front desk was rather annoyed than empathetic. I will never stay with Hilton again.

Someone opened our door without knocking! Thank goodness I had the metal plate over it so the door wouldn’t open as I wasn’t dressed! Check out was noon and it was about 10:30 in the morning. Scared me to death. Also, we asked for a king bed but was given 2 queens. They didn’t even tell us we had to come back down and ask about it when we saw and they said they didn’t have any. Heads up would have been nice

Stayed 3 nights. The hotel staff did not clean the room once the entire stay. When we got back to the room for the 2nd night the room wasn’t cleaned. No fresh towels. No refill on the coffee. When we called we were told they clean every other day. Strange a Hilton hotel having that policy, but Okay after Covid a lot of things changed. When we returned for the 3rd night stay again the room was not cleaned. Again no fresh towels nothing. I went back to the hotels listing and was not able to see any policy on house keeping, nor did the front desk staff At check in attempt anything. I don’t remember getting any a special rate or agreeing to stay in a hotel that does not clean the room each day.

Was very busy at check in time but the front desk person kept her cool, was very friendly, and kept the flow moving. Very clean, nice rooms. Even the person overseeing the buffet breakfast was extremely diligent as well as very pleasant.

Stay regularly at this property in Oldsmar. Always clean and they have friendly staff.

Front desk very rude. Booked through hotels.com & was told to use Apple wallet. Hotel didn’t accept & room was $200 more that expected.

Everyone was great, very clean, quiet, didn’t eat breakfast but they charged us, they then fixed the bill after I called. Loved the room very spacious. Your add a photo wouldn’t work.

Came to Tampa for graduation weekend. Easy check in and check out. Comfortable room. Got a good night’s sleep. Great restaurants just steps away. Convenient location to shopping. Easy to get to airport and downtown.

Rooms very clean, not liking restaurant and bar not open till 5:00. Front desk when asking for directions had no clue😢when you traveled many miles arrive want a drink and food! Found tie nail in mm our bed. Not impressed with 14.95 breakfast, so went else where.

It was nice . They didn’t have the bar open and the coffee maker was broken downstairs.

Everyone you come across, from front desk to housekeeping to those serving at the excellent breakfast buffet, are all so warm, friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and freshly updated, with plenty of room to set suitcases (other than on the floor. They are truly a pet-friendly property, too. We stay here every time we venture to the Tampa area to visit family, which is frequently.
