Marriott's Ocean Pointe

Overall - excellent experience. Parking - was a problem - there were only a few spots open when we got there - so we had to park far away from our building and lug our luggage to it. No vending machines - there were no vending machines in our building in the room labeled "Vending Machines". We were instructed by the front desk to go to another building - which did have one machine, but it was broken. This is an issue for guests that need something outside of the hours of the resort's store, but also left one with the feel of being less capable than lessor hotels.

This was great for those travelling with families. The villas provide ample space and the multiple pools provide options for families and adults looking for more privacy. The easy access to the beach is convenient and the food and drinks were great. Beach chairs are not available with the property on the beach and you will be asked to pay a supplemental fee if you would like to utilize chairs on the beach.

Beautiful property, very clean with so many things to do! The main pool area was fun but we enjoyed our quiet end pool with Gregg the awesome bartender. He went above & beyond! Not only did he give great service, he was fun, personable & gave recommendations on things to do.

First time here and we loved it. The food is a little pricey. They do offer lots of amenities for all ages. The staff has games for all ages from toddlers to adults and they do get the crowd up and going. I would say, this is a must go too. Our expectation was at first, it will be nice as we drive up to check in. After checking in and heading up to our room, we were blown away on the view and what the room had to offer. Our room had a full kitchen with a washer and dryer. There are 5 pools, 2 hot tubs, 2 places to eat and grab drinks, rec center, and a food market that has gifts, pools toys, drinks for all ages, coffee, sun tan lotion, etc.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The layout was really nice and spacious. We felt like we were in a penthouse suite! The living room with expansive windows and a decent sized kitchen were really nice. Loved the banquet style dining table. The design and furniture selections were really well done as well. We loved how there were several pool and spa options as well so we didn't feel too crowded. Will stay again!

The room was wonderful. We stayed in Cobia building which was close to the pools and bar. The rooms were very spacious and clean. We had a partial ocean view which was amazing! This hotel had everything! We enjoyed spending time by the pool each day. The surf was rough so we didn’t go to the beach. My only suggestion would be to change up the music list at the pool. We listen to the same five or six songs over and over each day.

PRO: Options are limited in Palm beach for a beach front hotel with Ocean View. We found Marriot Ocean Pt just north on the end of Singer Island. We were in the Kingfisher unit on the south end of the complex. The property is up to date, clean, beautifuly landscaped. We had easy access to the pool. Each building in the complex has one. Kingfisher also has a Tiki bar and activities are organized around the pool areas. You have full access to the grounds and amenities at the other buildings as well. There are events for the kids and a miniture golf. There is a store on the property in the main building, that serves small breakfast items, ice cream, beer/wine/soda/water/sun screen. The Oceanpoint is run like a hotel, but is really a time share property. While we were contacted, there was no requirement to sit in on the presentation as a condition of the reasonably priced room stay. They offer a $250 gift card, but we declined the offer. Our room was a standard hotel room with a King bed and a sofabed (queen) that the kids slept on. The room was up to date and clean. It opened up to a small balcony for 2 with a table and chairs. The intercoastal inlet to the ocean was right there. CON: You are limited in dining. There is a strip mall 3 mins away with 4 dining options. All are the Bar/Grill Tiki bar type, plus a wok/sushi place. The area off Singer I, Riviera, is not a good area. So you will need to drive 25 mins into Palm Beach for other options.

The pool water in all the pools were uncomfortably warm; it was very hot weather wise but better care to the pools needs to be done. The pools were also filthy and seemed to need more chemical treatments to them. We paid for an ocean front room were ocean front facing but had zero view of the water. We had palm trees and the brush on the sand blocking the entire view. We booked this in January and were disappointed our request for an ocean front were not met. There are several towers for rooms; they wanted to put us in the last tower which was a 10 minute walk to the main area and it was not ocean front. We were able to switch to the main area to “ocean front” but it wasn’t really ocean front at all. It’s a vacation club property so if your looking for a quiet more classy fit of a resort stay I would not recommend.

Overall it’s an amazing property and a great location. Didn’t like that we had to rent beach chairs/umbrella. Also didn’t have enough pool chairs or staff not monitoring who was simply saving chairs and not actively using them.

Green water in the jetted bathtub and the staff claimed was normal. i used to live in that town and never had green water in my tub. Clean the jets or get a filtration system. I wouldn't drink the water after they told me that

We stayed at the studio villas in Pompano. Overall, the suite was beautifully decorated. The parking is a bit frustrating after hours but the safety attendants were available to help with that. The property was impeccably clean and the service was overall great. Food was subpar but having a refrigerator and restaurants made up for that. Overall great property. Being a local, I would recommend!

Location and property was exceptional, however room cleaning was not the great and questionable.

The pools were not clean and my room was not made up during the days I was there. I have known this hotel for years and it has never been like this.

Bed bugs, insects on the bed and all over the room, filthy carpet and overall dirty property!

1st floor dark, dirty and tired oceanfront villa. Low cellular reception and spotty wi-fi, dropped out often. Expended materials piled up around service areas (empty boxes, containers, bags, etc.). Lots of visible wear and tear/stains on furnishings and heavy usage appearance on and around doors. Trash accumulation on rooftops just outside of windows and balcony (cigarette butts/broken beer bottles, banana peels…) The property is well overdue for a refresh.

First time staying here and we’ll definitely be back. Everything was clean, safe and easy to find. Loved all the amenities of the villa. Having a full kitchen and washer/dryer was amazing. Bed was comfortable and the view was amazing. Can’t wait to come back!

Property was not well kept. Rooms were dirty and no attention to detail. Check in experience was not good, front desk agent had attitude.

The room was clean, but freezing. The beds were wayyy to hard and pillows no neck support. When my child went to take a bath the water came out yellow…

The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Pool and common areas were extremely clean and bright. Room was small and lighting in room and bath was dim. Air conditioner was noisy and loud enough to wake you at night when it turned on.

Clogged sink. Broken toilet paper holder. Hotel room was out of the 1980s. However, the beach and pools were very nice and made up for the quality of the hotel.

The apartment was clean and our kitchen was well appointed. I especially enjoyed using the lap pool in the early morning and the water aerobics classes (Dominic and Bill were awesome!). There is a fun little shuffleboard and mini-golf area. A two bedroom unit was not available so we got a one bedroom with a sofa bed. Sofa bed was terribly uncomfortable, but overall... wonderful stay!

My flight was delayed twice which left me checking in after midnight, which I didn’t expect to be an issue after calling ahead and confirming that they could accommodate 24 hour check-ins. I arrived close to 1am and waiting at a locked door for 15 minutes ringing a bell waiting for someone. I was greeted by a man who seemed both confused and disappointed by my presence. We went though the check in process and then he begrudgingly offered to walk me over to where my room was, which I thought was reasonable considering it’s a huge property and was very dark outside. He walked me through 2 parking lots and then pointed me in the direction of 3 other parking lots, told me to walk all the way through to the last building and that would where my room was. I honestly would not have minded if it had been daytime or if he had not been so rude throughout the entire interaction, but it started off to stay on a bad note and didn’t really recover from there. I visit the area a lot and won’t be returning to this particular property.

It was 4:00 and time for check in and there was only one employee. Several people were in line waiting before another person showed up to help. Other than that the place was awesome. Can’t wait to come back!

At first I was skeptical about the property, thinking it was a rental condo with no amenities. I thought that we'd had to take everything with us, beach chairs, towels, food and that there was not going to have parking available. Boy was I wrong. It was AWESOME. literally like an all inclusive resort. We had everything available at our fingertips. Excellent poolside bar and restaurant, beech towels and plenty of parking. The staff treated us like VIPs. We liked it so much that we decided to make it an annual stay for family and friends.

Loved the property, we had a family of 12 including 3 kids under 5. Plenty of room if you book the villas. We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach and there was plenty of activities for the kids and adults. The staff was great and really helpful if we ever needed anything. Keep in mind that beach chairs and umbrellas rentals is pricey so if you can, take your own. The resort is nice and mostly upgraded but I think some rooms still need some work, specially the bathrooms in the single rooms. Drinks are good and food at marketplace was enjoyable but pancake breakfast offered on certain days could be better. We had an issue with our bill because we got charged for a bar order we did not make, it’s easy to order and charge it to the room. Maybe they should ask for a room key to verify room number. However, Maria listened to my concerns and the manager reviewed everything and took care of it. Overall it was a nice vacation and we plan on being back!

Although we only stayed one night, I was very impressed by their service and attention to detail, especially in such a large campus with multiple buildings. As we were driving away from the hotel in the afternoon, after having spent the day by the pool, I realized I had left my rain jacket in the closet that morning. We turned around and returned to the main desk, where I reported my forgotten jacket. The attendant placed a call to housekeeping, describing my jacket, noting the building, and our room number, and within minutes my jacket was brought to the main desk and returned to me! I was most grateful as I thought it was gone forever. Great staff at work!

The property is in a beautiful location. The rooms themselves were lovely and clean, and we had an amazing view for a couple of nights. There was one staff member that was short with us for no reason, but everyone else was helpful and patient. Food on the property is lacking--the onsite restaurant and store are overpriced for what they serve, and the food was mediocre. Staff cannot seem to provide guests with receipts for their stay that are clear, and cannot seem to email them, only print them out.

I likely won't stay there or a similar place. I checked us in around 2:00 but they informed me the room wasn't available and in fairness check-in was at 4. At the same time I asked for a later check out 11:30. I then had to take people to airport and my GF was left to finish checking in. She did have to wait which was fine and in general it was 4pm. But after retrieving luggage she was informed there wasn't anyone to help with bags and the UNIT was OVER 1200' away and disconnected from the property. She was eventually given a cart to push in the rain to get the bags into the unit. Departure day At 9:50am we were informed by cleaning staff that we needed to check out by 10am. In fairness a text message came to my phone during dinner and I did not see it. But I was troubled by the lack of understanding and the constant knocking on the door and phone calls. I told them we are not leaving until we both showered. We were out within an hour and my GF had to finish her make-up and hair in common non-airconditioned bathroom. The night before departing. As I said they did send a text about check out but because of another incident I don't think I seen the text. While we were getting ready they called to ask if they could enter the room because the adjacent room's lock would not work and they hoped the connecting door may be able to be open via our room. It really wasn't a big deal but it also says something about maintenance.

The check in process was terrible. Check in was supposed to be at 4:00 pm. After a long wait we were told our room wouldn’t be ready until 5:30-6:00. They booked us into another room. Our original reservation was a villa with a partial view. Which is not what we would have received if we were willing to wait. As it turned out the second room provided the partial view. I will say the property is fantastic.

Staff service was really bad, check in process was a nightmare, long line , everybody has a complaint about check in ,We paid a ocean view and also we have a kids ( they wanted to send me to a building separate from the hotel , separate from kids activities, also the lady were rude ( no polite, bad actitud with us) at the end we got a first floor room with a restricted view ( bad experience) another issue was a pool bar staff server was shooting ice to the kids ( what s this?? Not professional. Check out? Another bad experience ( 2 staffs on the counter playing around and smiling on everybody face and there was people waiting ) . I have been on this hotel like 4-5 times before and they never charge for a parking fee $20 daily ( now the parking is $20 and parking is always full and busy .this a nice hotel and nice beach but they should consider to manage the employees because the service is very disappointing.

Right on the beach, near the inlet. Sea turtle nests up and down the beach. Beautiful property! The beach is covered with thousands of seashells. The surf is very strong so be careful in the waves, it will knock you off your feet!

The resort itself is very nice! There are many activities to indulge in, the staff are all extremely pleasant and helpful, and it is very clean. The only negative is that there is very little in terms of stores or restaurants nearby within walking distance. So, we were essentially limited to eating from the same resort restaurant for all meals every day we were there.

Marriot Ocean Point Resort has been in operation for about twenty years. At the time it was built the it was the the epitome of a luxury, family vacation resort. Situated on the shores of a public beach, guests can also enjoy one of four pools, bars, and even a mini golf course all housed within the property. There are also activities both day and night for every member of the family to enjoy. The staff is friendly and attentive, the villas are large each featuring a balcony. The rooms are very clean. A short walk will take visitors to the local tourist shopping area that has: several wonderful restaurants serving the freshest fish, souvenir shops, and convenience stores. The views of the ocean from the resort are spectacular. Beyond the resort area can be a bit scetchy so bring your street savvy along for the vacation. The area of West Palm Beach, across the bridge nearest the resort should be avoided. Lounge chairs and umbrellas found on the shore near the property, though plentiful, are not free, a credit/debit card is required to rent those by the hour or by the day. All in all, our stay at the Marriot Ocean Point Resort was a good one.

I stayed at the Kingfish. Seemed to be an attitude problem with bartender and cook. First day I waited for over a hour for a salad. Second day was served burnt fish ! I refused the food. Very little food choices. No breakfast except yogurt.

We really enjoy the Hotel, all the areas, the access to the beach, very nice. We disliked the few options of food, no decent breakfast, the marketplace is not an option, only for coffee or ice cream. It was a surprise that Marriott do not have a Sunday Brunch or at least, an American Breakfast. We took Dinner at the "On the Rocks Pool Bar", but the menu is not as a Restaurant, the best option we ordered was a Mahi Mahi Sandwich. We believe this must be reviewable. Thanks!

Pool bar served up great drinks and good food! The staff was always pleasant and professional. Prices were reasonable. This is a great spot for couples or families. Make sure to take a 10 minute walk to tiki bar at the marina.

Wonderful stay!!! Only complaint is that more restaurants are needed closer to the property or on the property.

There was a lot of noisy construction going on during our stay. They had alerted us to this prior to our arrival but it was much more disruptive than we had anticipated. There was noise all day long, there were construction materials and debris taking up parking spaces. And one elevator was not working. We could also hear a lot of noise from the next room. The neighbors weren’t noisy but the walls were thin! On-site food was subpar and overpriced. However, the room was comfortable and clean. The location was beautiful.
