DoubleTree by Hilton Sunrise - Sawgrass Mills

Very nice people at the front desk. The pool is very nice and they provide free parking space. The showers in the bathrooms , the elevators and the pool área look a bit old. Apart from that, the hotel is a lovely place to stay.

The elevators didn't work 2 of the 5 days I was on property. Not ideal when traveling away from home.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Did not use the restaurant. Climate control was good. Only negative is that the property is starting to show wear, especially in some areas of the carpet and the hotel bar was very limited and not real inviting, sort of spartan.

Great location to walk to and from the Stanley Cup game! Wish the hotel gym was a little bigger but thankful there was a planet fitness nearby

Unfortunately the pool and hot tub were filthy and we couldn’t use it. I mean filthy. There was sand, dirt, bugs, leaves etc everywhere in pool and hot tub.

I liked the beds they were comfortable and the location. I didn’t like that the housekeeping took all of my towels and when I came back I had to call for someone to bring them. There was noise in the morning. The elevator button was not working when we had to use it. I had to call downstairs for someone to come up and take us downstairs.

The hotel is a nice option, very close to Aawgrass mall. However the jacuzzi doesn't work.

I was in town for the orange bowl. This hotel had an available room at a good rate. I was excited to learn that the Notre Dame band was staying here! Beautiful lobby and updated rooms. Fitness center very nice. Hot tub was out of order.

Very comfortable, modern hotel with plenty of free parking and a nice bar and restaurant on property. It’s right across the street from Sawgrass Mall and a short walk from Amerant Bank Arena. We were in town for a hockey game and walked to and from the stadium, it worked out great.

Great area to stay if you’re planning to shop at Sawgrass Mills. The room could be more clean, there was some small trash and dust under my bed.

I was in room 902 and it was dirty and super outdated. The carpet had stains all over it and was torn and shredding by the front door. It was a pretty ugly room. The only thing that was nice was the bed. The hotel was not full at all so I am still asking myself why I was put in that dirty room.

I had reserved a 720 sqf deluxe suite over a month prior to the date. I got there 1 hour after check-in and the front desk lady told me that there is a puddle of water on the living room floor rug, and if that was ok (?). I said no, that’s not ok. She got the manager who was very accommodating and switched my room to another suite (smaller, even though he claimed it was an upgrade). I went up, but after 6 hours I decided to check out and leave. The Stench of mold and wet carpet was completely overbearing, and I was concerned about health for sanitary reasons. If the room was in such condition as is, I couldn’t phantom even taking my clothes off to sleep in that bed. The sides of the carpet in the room were ripped, stained, and just not in good shape. Paying top dollar for a literal suite that I had to leave because of overwhelming stench, was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had. To no fault of the staff however. I would like a refund being that 1. I didn’t get the suite I had initially reserved 2. I had to leave the property after a few hours due to overwhelming stench and was not able to spend the night, fearing it would make me ill.

The elevators are very loud if your room is close to the elevator you will hear it all night long. You get a very delicious cookie upon check in. Bring slippers the carpets very dirty.

This hotel room was very disgustingly dirty and everything is very old and need to be updated. The bathroom cabinet was peeling and bad stains under the sink, our toilet was dirty. It looked like bathroom was not cleaned at all.

The hotel lobby was clean and updated. The room was not. We paid for a deluxe King and the rug was old, stained and ripped up on edges. We paid extra for the breakfast buffet which just wasn't worth the money.

Beautiful, comfortable room, spacious, very clean, the bed alone the comfort was of being in a spa and the comfort was beyond anything that I have experienced before.

The hotel needs an upgrade. Rooms are very much outdated for 2025

The location of this hotel was awesome. The pillows were some of the best. I've ever slept on the bit was average. However, we were in Room 619, and all we heard all night long. Was the elevator going up-and-down? We had to turn the air conditioning to 68, so it would run all night To drown out the noise of the elevator. We did not contact the front desks because we were exhausted and needed to sleep.

The room was huge, but a little worn around the edges. Location was perfect for our needs.

Great beds, spacious room

Such a shame as this hotel has a great location but seriously needs an overhaul. The rooms are very dated. Happy to see that they were starting to change the mattresses but a complete redo is needed.

I stayed here for two days and the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The only issue was that that part of the door frame was warped so the front door of our hotel room wasn't flush against the outside door frame, so we could here all the noise in the hallway at night. They did send someone out to fix the door frame, but it wasn't something they could fix during our stay. Very close to shopping, supermarkets, resteraunts and other amenities. Would reconsider staying there again.

We were given a room next to the elevators. Everytime the elevator moved the room shook. The noise was loud, I thought it was an earthquake or train passing by. Asked for another room. They appologized and gave us a new room. They must know those rooms are a problem, just hope no one complains. Also hotel is outdated and if you are going to a game and use Uber it is actually cheaper to stay at the newer AC hotel cause you can walk from there.

We were disappointed with our stay at the Sawgrass mills doubletree hotel. It did not meet the standard of other doubletree hotels we’ve visited. The staff was unfriendly, the room was worn and outdated. The walls were paper thin. We would not come here again.

I have been coming here for years and the service is always lovely. Bam checked us in and he was so pleasant and helpful. The cookies are what we all look forward to…so unique to this hotel. The Double tree in South Africa served used Rooibos iced tea. I love Double Tree!

Unremarkable. Why bother to offer texting as a means of quick communication, when staffers are useless? Upon check-in on Friday, we asked for a late check-out on Sunday and were told to check back the day BEFORE check-out. On Saturday (as instructed), I sent a text requesting late check-out. Jessica told me to AGAIN check back, but this time, on the DAY of check-out. I told her I’d done as instructed, and perhaps all hotel employees need better training to ensure guests receive correct information since the right hand doesn’t know what the left is doing. She again replied and said she’d check to see if we could get a late check-out. BUT SHE NEVER GOT BACK WITH ME. Again, I sent a text (on SAT), and John noted we’d have a late check-out. HOW MANY TIMES MUST A GUEST MAKE THE SAME REQUEST? Jessica dropped the ball and her rude unprofessionalism has ensured we will never stay here again. Honestly, I could’ve overlooked the dirty carpet in our room that left my white socks FILTHY. I could’ve even let go the fact that one of the nightstands looked like it hadn’t been dusted at ALL. And it wasn’t the end of the world that the shower doesn’t get truly HOT. But the lousy service, coupled with being ignored by Jessica, was inexcusable. As owners of a business since 1988, we VALUE our customers and consider them the foundation of our success. When our customers have a need, THEY are our first priority. Seems like this hotel sees customers as a bother. Color me UNIMPRESSED.

Reception staff were generally terrible, unapproachable, unfriendly and curt. Hotel was pretty nice but a bit soulless. Area is good with plenty of eating. Breakfast was ok. Hotel was clean and the maintenance staff were friendly. Unlike reception who were awful and uninterested.

This was awful. Staff didn’t think it was a problem that my door was warped and I had to push my body on it to lock it. Maintenance told me to be sure to use my safety lock. I was moved due to a mold smell of the entire floor which had dry out fans going. A church rents the ballroom and it was like animals running the halls of all hours. Rude manager and desk staff. Told me it’s “ a hotel not my house”. We checked out a day early it was so bad. Ruined my daughter’s 15th birthday weekend.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and it is has always been a relaxing, very comfortable stay, that I keep going back. Diane at the front desk has been very helpful, kind and friendly. She always makes me feel welcome when visiting. Property is very close to Sawgrass Mills mall so this is a big plus if also looking to do some shopping.

Assistant Manager Tim was disrespectful and just an absolute disgrace to anyone working in the hospitality industry. I asked a simple question about my reservation and he said if I don't like it he can have me trespassed. I recorded everything on video. Horrible interaction.

We thought the pricing was reasonable. The room was clean and the parking was close by. The food and the service in the bar and restaurant were much better than most hotels. Wilson, the bartender in particular was the accommodating.

Usually this is my go to hotel but my last trip was very distasteful and the front desk manager Patrick wasn’t so helpful I don’t think I will be booking this hotel anytime in the near future thanks to the poor service I got when trying to do and early check out due to medical reasons.

Great location!

The property was in walking distance of the Sawgrass Mills mall and Amerant Bank Arena. Our room wasnt ready at 4 pm, but after completing the check in process, hotel staff found us and brought us our keys as we waited in the hotel bar area. Our room was clean and quiet with a great view of Amerant Bank Arena. The left most elevator was malfunctioning, but overall it was a pleasant stay.

In room service was phenomenal! I ordered breakfast in the morning and it arrived less than 20 minutes later!!!

The service was great. We ordered room service for a late dinner and the restaurant team went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. A special thanks to Eddie. He even asked to open the cans of soda. The food was very good as well.

We love staying at this location. Its location is perfect! If I had to give any negative review it would be for the restaurant on property. Both times we have been there it is understaffed. Food menu needs to be updated online to reflect menu items available.

The hotel location to the mall is convenient. The variety of food options for breakfast was good and being able to take away item was a plus. Beds were also very comfortable and room was spacious.
