It's absolutely ridiculous that you have to pay an extra 30 plus dollars to park at the hotel on top of your room. Only other available parking around the hotel is metered parking. Will not stay there again

The air conditioning was extremely loud. When we try to go up to the restaurant on the roof, they would not allow us up there without a reservation when we ask if we could just see the menu and what the restaurant facilities look like they told us we could not The elevators are extremely slow. There were not enough luggage cards to accommodate everyone. It was noisy all hours of the night people running up and down the halls the air conditioner sounded like a helicopter landing on the roof. I did not sleep the entire time I was at the hotel

Filthy; flooded hallway that smelled HORRIBLE with a fan running for the entire two nights i was there. Pool closed for private event with no notice. No wifi. Dust all over the room. Skimpy, old towels. Smelly dirty carpet in room. Just disgusting. Worst part? For that disgusting experience- $500 PER NIGHT. Unacceptable. Complained to corporate and the hotel mgt and requested a night’s refund because it’s ridiculous i would pay that much for what is a 1 star hotel at best, and all they offered me was a coupon to stay free at another double tree. No thanks- i told them to keep it. I am a loyal Hilton member but not anymore. Such bad customer service and clearly didnt care.

Pros- Staff was friendly and helpful, bedding and pillows were great. price was good.shower was great Cons - treadmills down in fitness center, bathroom door was not on track and hard to close, no signage to tell you where the amenities were in the hotel (had to call to find out where fitness center was ) Not sure if the rooftop restaurant ever opened . The room could use a light near the door and a full size mirror. Too dark .

Good location with many restaurants in walking distance. We stayed over the weekend and street parking was free and easy to find. Furniture was a little tired (one drawer broken) but we were happy with the comfortable beds and the cleanliness of the room. AC didn’t work well but it wasn’t a big deal with mild weather. We had a few drinks at the rooftop bar, which offers a very nice view especially at sunset. Overall very pleased with the stay.

I needed to stay 1 night for a family gathering. Check in was ok, guy was neither nice or rude. When I got on the elevator it smelled like old wet towels and/or mildew and so did the hallway on the way to my room. My room seemed fine until I saw the “leather” chair which was peeling and looked like it was 25 years old. Then I saw the ceiling had a huge 2+ foot crack in it with long peels of sheet rock paper and / strips of paint hanging down and dangling over the bed. It was a large enough crack that I was worried the ceiling might fall in so I slept in the other bed. There was an ice machine on my floor (5th) and it did not work so I went to the 4th floor and that ice machine also did not work, then I proceeded to go to the 6th, and 8th also finding broken machines. Mind you, these ice machines are independent, free standing machines. Finally I found an working ice machine on floor 9 but on that floor there must have been a flood because the hallway was very dark and a large fan was running on wet carpet and the whole floor smelled terrible. All in all, I would never stay here again and @HiltonHotels should be made aware of the condition of this hotel. I have photos as well.

I was under the impression Hilton Hotels were nice, but unfortunately learned that isn’t always the case. Bathroom was disgusting. Pool was closed. Hallways look like they experienced water damage. The 2006 TV reception was spotty at best. Mini Fridge had the highest pitched frequency that made being in the room unbearable. Unplugging it meant moving a ~400 pound granite dresser, and no cold drinks/leftovers. Parking is at minimum $30+ per night. After parking, fees, and taxes, it is $200+ a night for a room that you don’t want to be in. AC unit was loud, but that’s fairly normal and it was blowing cold air so no big deal there. Valet staff was quick and friendly (Valet was $35, self parking $31). It is in a good location, I will give them that. Desk staff was average. Not outgoing or overly friendly. Just there to do their job. Which is fine, I suppose. I heard good things about the fancy rooftop bar, but unfortunately didn’t have a chance to check it out. Open 5-10. Will look elsewhere in my future business trips to Tallahassee. (Trying to add the photos I took, but not sure they’re uploading)

This hotel is very old and in disrepair and it is very understaffed. We had to move rooms as our room was incredibly humid and the ceiling was coming apart. Every time you turned on the shower, water would come through the ceiling. Also, the toilet wasn’t bolted down to the floor so you felt like you were on horseback. The entire 10th floor smelled of mildew and water. Obviously, there were leaks throughout. Finally, we were moved to the 16th floor, which was better, but still very old and used. We had numerous friends at the hotel as well. Each of them told of a similar experience. This is not what I expected of an Hilton hotel. Very disappointing. However, even with all these issues, the limited staff that were working went out of their way to treat us well. They just have nothing to work with. Also, no cookies were offered as is the Double Tree standard. We will not be returning to the Double Tree in Tallahassee.

This was a big waste of my hard earned money. I book two nights. But my room was so dirty, I refused to stay there and booked another hotel and walked there. I had a late flight into Tallahassee so I didn’t get to the hotel until 1:00a and all I wanted to do was get some sleep after having a long flight. When I woke up I seen just how dirty the room was. Coffee station had used coffee pods in it and was very dirty. The sugars had old coffee stains and the counter/ desk top wasn’t wiped off. The shower dirty and had dirt on walls and floor plus hair in the corner of the shower. The bathroom faucet wasn’t wiped off and there was purple liquid stains on the white closet door. Not to mention the shower head was full of water corrosion. Things was so bad I booked a new hotel and walked to it. Before leaving I wanted to make a complaint with the manager but there was a family already there complaining about their horrible experience and was told that management will not be in until Monday so I just left. chalked up

Let’s start with the first major issue. The entire hotel smells like mold! I literally was choking all night. As you will see from the picture provided, there is a significant amount of visible mold in the hallways, and in the rooms themselves. Our room had mold, rust in the shower, holes in the walls and filth on the floor. Additionally, our toilet seat was completely broken and the door to the bathroom did not close or lock…as you will also see from the pictures. Luckily, maintenance did come to fix the broken toilet as I almost broke my neck! upon our arrival back to the hotel after a long day moving our daughter into her dorm our room was not cleaned. I called the front desk and could not reach anyone so I went to the front desk to let them know and request clean towels. They did not apologize and were a bit rude but said they would send someone up with towels. Towels never arrived. I called again and spent 15 min trying to reach someone and just gave up. 0 stars!!

It was OK. We just needed a room to spend the night. We were disappointed that there was no shower gel at all. The bottle was completely empty. The toilet seat was broken so would go to the side when you sat on it. The coffee machine was great, but there was only one cup to brew coffee in.

The best way to describe this hotel is damp and dirty. Paint peeling off the walls and ceilings in the room with debris and dirt on the carpet and floors. The window AC just ran constantly with humid air. You can tell the rooms are very quickly cleaned or maybe just skipped altogether. We saw no housekeeping services during our stay. The staff was mostly rude and miserable especially at the coffee bar and restaurant. Took about an hour for an order of pancakes for our kids. If you do go be aware of the mandatory gratuity of 22%. The only advantage is the location is good but not worth what they charge for a night.

The hotel felt dated - the elevators were noisy, slow and shabby. The bathroom ceilings were low to permit drain pipes for the above room which lent a warren-like feeling. Any sound from the hallways or other guest rooms easily penetrated the unit. Overall not recommended.

The room was dark beyond the lighting in the bathroom was so bad I couldn’t even do my make up, put on all three lamps in the entire room and it was still dark. Couple of stains on the bedsheet just a very dated dingy looking room would never stay there again.

At check-in we were informed there were no rooms to give us even though we had a reservation for 2 rooms. Evidently there was mold and the ceilings were collapsing. We were told they were going to send us to another hotel and we wouldn't have to pay. They sent us to an extended stay hotel that was so unbelievably sketchy we did not feel safe staying. The front desk person at the new hotel tried to charge us multiple fees even though we had been told we wouldn't have to pay and said we were the 6th set of people double tree had tried to send them. We called double tree back they sent us to a different hotel that was having technical troubles and couldn't find us a room even though the Double Tree representative told me they had confirmed there were rooms ready for us. We didn't get into a room until 3:30AM. This was a disaster and Double Tree never followed up to see if we found a room. I called back to see about getting the promised refund that we still haven't gotten and the Manager is always unavailable and their voicemail is full.

Our room wasn’t ready until 11:15 PM. Cleaning staff is severely understaffed. We waited with multiple other families. The place was clean and comfy and the front desk people were very nice and apologetic about the wait, but at 11:15 there shouldn’t be a wait for your room.

The hotel is fine so far but the check in was ridiculous. It took exactly 1 and 15 mins to wait in line to check in The manager was left alone to check in everyone. I understand that people called off.But you need to hire more people. Everyone knows when they're checking in and you should have an expectation that there's going to be a lot of people wanting their rooms. They were completely underprepared in addition, we found out that the online self check in has been broken for months from the manager. So even individuals who checked in online could not even get their keys or access to their room.Because that system that should exist in twenty twenty five is broken!!!! I have stayed in more than a thousand hotels in my life, and this by far as the longest check in process I have ever been a part of. For brand like hilton, this is completely unacceptable. We almost missed the show we came into town for. This is not the fault of the manager who was checking us in.Who couldn't have been any nicer and apologized for the delay?This is the fault of hilton for not hiring enough people to handle a simple check in proces. Higher more staff or put in kiosks for people to check into their rooms

I'm going to be brutally honest about my entire review, maybe it will help, maybe it won't matter at all. I arrived at the hotel after driving all day, I was greeted by the valet parking gentlemen. It was really nice to not have to worry about parking. Both of the gentlemen were very nice and professional, one even helping me to get my things out of the car. Here's where issues started.... 1) There wasn't a single luggage cart avaliable about 730pm. 2) I get to the counter after booking a king size room to enjoy the bed with my significant other, and I'm told "We have to move you to a room with two queen beds" didn't ask, told me and that it was due to over booking the king beds. Super unprofessional and nothing was even offered after ruining our room, not complimentary drink, not a discount to queen prices, he asked if i wanted a cookie. 3)it clearly wasn't cleaned, I'm guess because no one booked and we were forced to take it. Floors were dirty, no comforter on either bed, went to take a shower, conditioner and soap were empty. 4) At check in no one tells you ANYTHING!!! Not about the restaurants,that the pool is located on the 4th floor, that there's a roof top bar, times anything opens, not what meals are served, or if theres room service.... NOTHING 5) The restaurant downstairs was pretty much out of everything. No grouper, no shrimp, no pickles, limited bottles, 6) i was charged to my card and to my room multiple charges The bartenders were amazing though and valet

Check in staff member was short, rude, and abrupt during busy check in time for FSU Family Weekend. Questions I had about valet and the property were ignored but she passively aggressively offered cookies and water instead. A little bit of genuine friendliness or simple courtesy could have gone a long way, given the very dilapidated and old state of the hotel itself. Will not stay here again.

Unfortunately, we did not have an amazing stay with this Hilton. Our check in was supposed to be at 3 pm but it was 2 and 1/2 hours late due to the lack of cleaning staff to get the room ready. We got a free upgrade to a slightly better room due to that fiasco. The hotel has a policy that we have to ask for our room to be cleaned the day before. We did just that. For every day that we stayed -10 days - we asked for our room to be cleaned. However, it was only cleaned about half of the time. The rest of the days we had to go downstairs to the front desk to get clean towels. The front desk staff were very courteous and helpful. The big issue with this hotel is the lack of cleaning, which is unacceptable to us. Will not return because of that. Additionally, the Gym was not clean, had zero towels, and did not even have disinfecting wipes. Please please, management, look into your cleaning situation - it is not acceptable to the Hilton caliber of hotels.

As soon as you walk in the door you know this is an excellent hotel and the location literally in a park is beautiful and makes you want to be outside the fact that it is a stone's throw from all the downtown Tallahassee government buildings is just the bonus.

The location is what drives me to the hotel. It is by far the best location when in Tallahassee. The lobby is beautiful. It’s nice to have a parking garage, but the hotel definitely needs maintenance. There was many chips and stains and broken things in the room and the breakfast was mediocre at best.

The bathroom needs bleach in the shower. Lots of mold. The toilet needs to be tightened. It was so loose I thought it was going to tip over. The little cafe they had was never opened when we were there and it would have been nice to get a cup of coffee or a sandwich or danish. The restaurant was only serving a Buffett breakfast which was too much food for me. Couldn’t order off the menu.

Beautiful hotel. Check in was easy, and desk clerk was polite and friendly. Room was ok, a little dated, but comfortable. Disappointed that the Starbucks in the lobby closed permanently. Couldn't get coffee for the drive home, unless I wanted the room coffee. Valet service is a bit pricey, at $36+ tax a night. Overall, a pretty good property.

The property was fine and the staff was fine but we were on a floor with construction and the door to the stairwell was propped open. It just felt a little unsafe. It was clean but it’s very old and needs updating. We skipped breakfast because the options were very old and poor quality. Aside from those things, it was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the location is perfect.

Lots of problems. One bath towel provided for a room sleeping 4. No working safe. Coffee shop and restaurant wasn’t opened. Staff said nobody showed up to work. Pool was out of service. We booked the hotel specially for food and pool on site. Was charged extra for parking when we had to leave and return to go out to get breakfast that the hotel didn’t provide.
