The room was clean but very dated. The toilet was at angle in the bathroom. It was so close to the shower I hit my foot on it getting in the shower. I was not impressed! Exterior was very rundown and pool was tiny. Advertisement for this place was VERY misleading. Luckily we only stayed one night.

Lobby area smelled dirty like a wet dog. Ice machine on second floor did not work and the one on the first floor was broken and gave limited ice

I don’t like to write negative reviews, but I am doing a disservice to the company and future guests if I don’t share my experience. When I arrived I was told the elevator was out of service and would be for a few weeks… ok. So I carried the luggage for my son and I up the back stairs. There were LOTs of odors. Very unpleasant ones. Smelled like feces in the stairwell. Their pool was open to the public and random people were driving up and stoping in and leaving. Which I felt was unsafe. the continental breakfast was out of things, including tea and butter. When I asked a question, I wasn’t always understood. Staff congregate at the counter where the concierge is when you walk in, and just hang out. The stairwell door was propped open to the back of the building where random people (not employees) were walking in and out of. Day 4, I saw a brown cockroach on the bathroom wall scurry behind the tank of the toilet. My heart sank. One positive note, one of the housekeepers was actually very sweet and friendly. In summary, no management presence or oversight. Unsafe. Unclean. I managed until it was time to go home.

The elevator was not working and I was on the second floor with bags. For security purposes the door from the outside going into the stairwell up to the second floor was broken any body can walk into the building and onto the second floor without a key...

Parking area was ok

The grounds around the property were horrible. They weren’t maintained and they had a lot of trash.

TV broke, shower not powerful, very little water coming out, elevator broke

The room smelled like smoke. The place is very run down. Not what we are used to from hotels.com. My wife got up to use the bathroom and found several small roaches in the bathroom.

The sheets felt wet. The staff was not friendly at check in. Breakfast was mid. Roaches in the breakfast area. Didn’t have any shampoo.

I had to stay for a quick family trip. There was a smell in the hallway and in the room. Also had roaches

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. Terrible smell of mold and very dirty. Very sketchy area. I left right after checking in.

The hotel in general is not very clean. The hallway, elevator, and stairways are dirty and smelly. The room was halfway decent. Breakfast quality is poor.

There were cockroaches in our room. It smelled so bad like mold, it was hard to breathe. The bathtub wouldn’t drain for hours, then when it finally did it leaked all over the bathroom floor. The provided blow dryer blew sparks at me when turned on, and immediately got super hot and smelled like it was gonna blow up. The breakfast was okay, and the beds were comfy. That’s it.

I was planning to stay in the hotel for 2 days. I left the next morning. But i should of left when i walkes in. They put us on the 3rd floor. No big deal the have an elevator. The issue is the smell of RAD roach killer was SO SO bad. They also had something plugged in the wall in the hallway i swear was spraying RAD. it was hard to breath with the chemicals. We left early because of the ROACHES and the smell. It was disgusting. NEVER AGAIN.

Would rate it higher if it wasn’t for the roach infestation, so bad we had to move to a room on a higher floor because they were crawling all over the first , even then there were so many, in the ice , fridge , every inch of the the room. General cleaning wasn’t great because of how much dog hair and dirt and stains they missed but it was honestly the roaches that really did us in would have went somewhere else if there was availability. Great service and people but again cleanness 👎👎👎

Very quiet and staff was pleasant and helpful. The only down side I found is the furniture.. very old and dated. Do not get me wrong, everything was what I needed for my work assignment. Bed was very comfortable.

This hotel is decent for the price, but the climate-control unit severely needs updating. When you're woken up at night by the cacophony of the AC kicking on, you know there's a problem.

As a national brand, La Quinta advertises themselves as a high-quality hotel that poeple want to stay at. This specific hotel lacked a lot of cosmetic updates or upgrades such as paint, floorboards, switch plates and furniture condition. Very basic things that I would expect them to get right considering the reputation they are projecting. The bed was great, plenty of pillows, rooms size was good, I loved the working desk, fridge and microwave.

Door to room was old and did not fit frame, I had to use a towel to put on the floor to remove the gap between floor and door. The sounds from the other rooms carried, there was nothing to help remove that Situation since carpet was removed and vinyl flooring laid down.

TV/satellite kept loosing signal, mirrors were so dirty you couldn't see yourself. Room had almost no TP. Sheets were stained. Door to room didn't fit, was nearly a 1" gap above the floor where anyone could see in.

Air conditioning rattled all night long. Bed was sagging refrigerator was leaking. Somebody used way too much cleaning solution. Probably covering up a bad smell.

First night unable to connect to internet

Its was decent nothing special. Rooms ẁere clean, breakfast was meh, no secure wifi. Thus location is near alot of restaurants and the mall/shopping center is about 10 minutes aways.

Phone not working, hair dryer not working. No soap. Front desk not attentive in addressing the issue esp the lady. Not much on breakfast, no refills .Just bread n muffin on Tuesday cos no delivery on labor day. So we went to stay at another hotel on Tuesday night n Wednesday night

The staff was great

The front office staff seemed unfriendly and put in very little effort helping with a small need (needed plunger) acted like we were an inconvenience made wait 20 minutes for someone for someone to come in so she could ask where it was instead of making a phone call and asking. Very disappointed.

First impression pulling up to the hotel was, sketchy. Greeted with a stench of dampness. Front desk was the 2nd poor impression. My stay was paid for and I was asked for a credit card, which I understand is normal, but the communication was poor as I was thinking I was being charged again and had to ask again if they saw my paid reservation. He was cold and unfriendly. Nothing was mentioned about wifi or the "pool". The room was on the 1st floor right next to "housekeeping" laundry room. Unsightly and lots of foot traffic. Upon room entry, it wasn\'t horrible but definitely not worth the $179 being charged per night. The floors were lifting and multiple times I tripped because of this. Noise is an understatement. Congregations of people hanging out in the hall at all hours with zero regard for other guests. no rugs = tremendous noise from above. The police were there several times and the last straw was a fire alarm going off. I paid for 3 nights and left at 1am on my second day as I felt unsafe in this environment. Front desk girl was NASTY and and unhelpful. When I called to discuss getting a refund for the 3rd night, i was met with total disregard for the events and condition of the stay. As a long standing Expedia customer who has stayed all over the world, this hotel is the WORST I have ever experienced. I was able to get $77 back (from Expedia not the hotel) of the $390.99 I paid and honestly, I deserved all $390.99 as this hotel is poorly represented on Expedia.

When we first arrived, the system was down so we could not check in; we had to sit/sleep in our car in the parking lot until 3am before the system was back up to be able to check in. I could not even cancel my reservation as requested by the front counter attendant because it was passed the deadline to be able to cancel without being charged. There were cockroaches in our room every time we returned. The turntable in the microwave was broken so didn't heat up food properly. The tv had no volume. When the cleaning people came while we were out to take out the trash, they did not leave any extra bath towels or toilet paper; when I went to the front desk to get some, I was told that I had to wait until the next morning because the room where those supplies are held was locked. The fruit at the breakfast area was old & rotting. There was not a big selection of breakfast items.

Customer service not real good!! Breakfast was terrible!! Room was okay!! Was supposed to have 2 rooms under Mark and come to find out. 1 was in my sisters name on different floors!! So all around visit we will not be back!!

My reason for the stay was a emergency. When I spoke to someone they gave me an early check in with no charge and was very helpful. When I checked in the front desk people were very nice and welcoming. They actually made me laugh and that was something I needed. When my grandchildren arrived later in the afternoon we went out and picked up dinner and had a relaxing night. Breakfast was not up to par but that is my only complaint. Thank you for your hospitality.

It was good for the price. My 1st roomed smelled a little but they gave me some spray to help, then the fridge wasn’t working and they changed my room right away. The staff was so helpful and nice! My next room was great! Clean, spacious, everything worked, I had zero complaints! They changed my towels everyday and were so accommodating. This is my 2nd time staying here. Great location.

Suited our purpose fine but we did have to leave early due to the unplanned need to return home as fast as we could. Staff was the best!

Check in staff was great. Hotel condition and area around it was horrible. Smelled and dirty. Tons of water stains in hotel with guest hanging their clothes outside their window like a third world country. However, Huge sheriff presence around.

Room was very basic and uncomfortable. No dresser. Poor desk management and staff ignored the do not disturb sign all together. Almost got mugged in the parking lot at 9pm. Many stragglers hang around property.

First night here & it's quiet. Parking gets a little full but parking was ok. The hotel is dated but clean & quiet & the rooms are inside instead of outside & I always like that. Besides just being an older bldg, it's ok. Price is a bit high for it to be an older hotel but yet it's still cheaper than some of the other hotels in the area. Convenience is wonderful. 5 mins from Brandon Mall where there are plenty of places to dine & do a little shopping.

Everything inside was okay. Outside parking, Was people kiising in the parking lot. Lights was on and off. Area around solitaire and i was worry for my car but thanks god nothing happen. Was a police around and park on the parking lot thats mean they know how is the area. The room was good. Clean and nice.

Would never stay here again, dirty, homeless living in the parking lot, thin walls, terrible night sleep with all the noise from other rooms, no support from front desk. Avoid!

It was convenient for me, near I-75. Nice stop before heading to Tampa General.

Good location. Felt relatively safe.

Clean room, easy for a single-night stay, directly on a major roadway- not walkable.

The hotel was good for a day or two. Quite expensive for one night. But on the cheaper side given it’s Tampa. Room wasn’t ready when we were ready to check in at 3pm. However, we were allowed to check in an about half an hour later. The room was clean as well as the bathroom. No noise. The breakfast was very good. Standard options with variety from eggs to waffles. Warm and palatable.

Staff was busy but they could of ackowledge that we were standing there when we had a question.Breakfast was good if you were there when it started. If you arrive at breakfast later you were out of luck it seem it was replenished. . Needed a better place for smokers. They were all in front of the entrance. Area for dogs was overgrown and marshy. Yes it was during a storm we wished there was a path to the doggie garbage can would have been nice. Otherwise it was a good stay. Cleaning staff was great . Very helpful.

The stay was so so. Lot of folks hanging around. Some just show up to do laundry. Others are not from the hotel but hang around anyway. Was on the 3rd floor. Kid screaming most of the afternoon into the night. Once the kids quit screaming the dogs start to bark. Breakfast was horrible. The waffle machine didn't work, the dough stuck and then had to be ripped off the machine.

good room for good price but the breakfast had no coffee on the first day and no muffins or eggs nor ...? really bad at 730 am. Don't come here for breakfast

Other than the carpets being stained and the door in the room being tacky (likely dirty mop water). It was fine. The breakfast area didn’t appear to open until 7 so we never ate there. The staff was friendly.

A decent value. An older building that is pretty well maintained. When they mention Breakfast on Weekdays is from 6-9am. They mean it! Even the Coffee is pulled at 9:02am. Older, loud air conditioning in the room.
