This accommodation included every little detail that made it extra special. The host anticipates guest needs very well. We especially enjoyed access to the hot tubs, a great amount of towels and robes, the in-room coffee and snacks, the amenities in the main house, quality bath products. Our only feedback would be that a 10 AM check out is a little bit early compared to other properties, as is a 4 PM check in (however, the property manager allowed us an early check-in, so we were very happy with that after long travels.) We hope to stay again in the future, it was so so great!

The Archie & Isidore has a lovely self-check-in system -- they text you to let you know when the room is ready and you find the key in your room. The hotel is right on the Cabot Trail and you can easily walk around town. Several restaurants are within an easy 5-to-10 minute drive, and casual dress is always appropriate. The Adirondack chairs on the front porch are a lovely spot to sit, sip a drink, and people-watch. Although we didn't use it, there's also a hot tub available. We thoroughly enjoyed the comfy bed, the quiet, and the fresh air. If you have time, be sure to stop by The Trois Pignons museum just up the road and learn about the hooked rug tradition of the Acadian area.

We had room 8 which is in a separate building behind the main house in the upstairs suite...it was lovely! Nice and clean and really nicely decorated with everything we needed for a comfortable nights rest! There are two hot tubs available for guests use eith plenty of towels in the room. We enjoyed the complimentary chocolate bars....thank you!

Great place to stay for a night. Property very clean and close to some restaurants. If staying in main house, there are 4 rooms on second floor and stairs taking you up to your room. Washer and Dryer free for guests to use. Nice touch of a treat in your room as well as waters and soda's. Yogurt and granola bars as well as coffee in your room and tea's available. This was a really nice property. They had a lot of extra things like treats in the room and a shared kitchen we weren’t expecting. Rooms were really nice. We were able to walk to several restaurants.

Everything about this place was spectacular. The operators have thought of every single detail. The small inn even has a small gym. Having a washer and dryer was certainly a plus. Absolutely wonderful stay. Highly recommend.

Great location to the National park, view of water out our window, comfortable and clean room. We visited with two different housekeepers who were so friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside was the breakfast area, which was a grab and go—-yogurt and granola bars ( maybe something else) coffee and tea. There was a toaster but no bread.

Il est impossible de trouver de quoi à redire sur cet hôtel mis à part peut-être le prix élevé. Propreté exceptionnelle, confort incroyable, terrasse avec vue sur la mer et le coucher de soleil, à quelques pas de la société des alcools qui nous a permis de boire quelques petites bières en profitant du calme et du paysage.

We stayed one night and found this to be the best of the five places we stayed in during our trip to Nova Scotia. The building is a charming house with 8 suites and an outdoor hot tub. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. Extra amenities such as snacks and water in the room were appreciated. We’d definitely stay here again.

An exceptional stay. We had room #5 for two nights. Super comfortable bed. Plush linens and towels. Our room had beverages, snacks, and a Tassimo cappuccino machine all included. The hotel is a very old house, complete with spiral staircase and creaky floorboards. Which made it even better. Perfect lodging for exploring Cheticamp.

We stayed here on our way around the cabet trail, our room was clean and welcoming, with added touches like water, snacks, even a board game & books. We opted to stay in for the night and sat out on the decking as we were on the second floor we had a good view of the surrounding area & sea view. We had option of the jacuzzi. Before here we stayed in ingonish & i wish we would have stayed 2 nights here instead. I would recommend staying here for anyone staying in Cheticamps.

Notre séjour s’est passé dans une très jolie maison ancienne malheureusement nous pensions être dans un hôtel or ce n’était pas le cas tel que nous l’entendons. Pas de check in, pas de check out. Pas de service de ménage. Nous nous sommes trompés de lieu. Conseil: bien lire le descriptif avant de réserver.

The amenities were excellent. While there didn’t appear to be anyone on-site, the communications via text message was faster, more convenient, and of as high a caliber as calling or visiting a front desk! Loved the Hot Tub! Water view from the room was fun. Some nice choices for meals in the town. Had a great time in Cheticamp all the way around!

It’s very strange and somewhat off putting to have no interaction with a human at check-in. If you’re going to call it a hotel then someone should be there when guests arrive. The room was comfortable, clean and well appointed, but the only person we met was a cleaning person who was borderline pushy about getting us out of the room.

A small, quaint and well-maintained hotel - really more like a B& B (without the tortuous group breakfast), overlooking the harbour. Beautiful sunsets. The only staff we met was the person cleaning the rooms. While technology can take care of the ‘transactional’ side of the process, it just seemed a bit odd to never meet the owners - if for no other reason than to welcome guests and put a friendly face to this small community.

The Adirondack chairs on the front porch are a lovely spot to sit, sip a drink, and people-watch. Although we didn't use it, there's also a hot tub available. We thoroughly enjoyed the comfy bed, the quiet, and the fresh air. If you have time, be sure to stop by The Trois Pignons museum just up the road and learn about the hooked rug tradition of the Acadian area.

Beautifully renovated hotel which originally must have been an older house overlooking the water. Easy to walk into town and every amenity provided including free snacks and drinks. Excellent property!

Property was next door to a school where we had tickets booked for a concert.Thevenue had comfortable seats ,was very enjoyable,mostly french music. We walked to and from our hotel.We went to a good family restaurant for breakfast, since there was no food served at the hotel. The restaurant was just across the street from the hotel.

Great location to the National park, view of water out our window, comfortable and clean room. We visited with two different housekeepers who were so friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside was the breakfast area, which was a grab and go—-yogurt and granola bars ( maybe something else) coffee and tea. There was a toaster but no bread.

This was a really nice property. They had a lot of extra things like treats in the room and a shared kitchen we weren’t expecting. Rooms were really nice. We were able to walk to several restaurants.

We stayed here on our way around the cabet trail, our room was clean and welcoming, with added touches like water, snacks, even a board game & books. We opted to stay in for the night and sat out on the decking as we were on the second floor we had a good view of the surrounding area & sea view. We had option of the jacuzzi. Before here we stayed in ingonish & i wish we would have stayed 2 nights here instead. I would recommend staying here for anyone staying in Cheticamps.

Great place to stay for a night. Property very clean and close to some restaurants. If staying in main house, there are 4 rooms on second floor and stairs taking you up to your room. Washer and Dryer free for guests to use. Nice touch of a treat in your room as well as waters and soda's. Yogurt and granola bars as well as coffee in your room and tea's available. Contactless check in and check out which was convenient. Lots of towels in room.

The amenities were excellent. While there didn’t appear to be anyone on-site, the communications via text message was faster, more convenient, and of as high a caliber as calling or visiting a front desk! Loved the Hot Tub! Water view from the room was fun. Some nice choices for meals in the town. Had a great time in Cheticamp all the way around!

Very accommodating hosts, though we never met any hotel employee. They left the room key in the room and we left it there when we checked out. But they supplied free snacks, great coffee, and free laundry (including detergent!). The nearby Harbour Inn had the best French onion soup I've ever had, and the entrees were great!

The room was nicely decorated. There were free snacks and waters. The hair and skin products provided were great quality. They had adirondack chairs on the deck where we enjoyed our morning Nespresso (machine in room) before going to breakfast next door. Grabbed yogurt, drinks, and protein bars for the road. That is what they supply for breakfast so don't expect a big breakfast at the Inn. Overall, a great place to stop at the end of our trip on Cape Breton.
