Best Western Hampton Coliseum Inn

I had to park in a handicap spot because at 8:15 PM there was not a single parking stop available.

Walked into the lobby and was immediately smacked with the heat. It was hotter inside than outside. Was told that the AC was not working. Our room was on the 5th floor and there was ABSOLUTELY ZERO AC in the hallways on the 5th floor. Our room was clean, and the AC ran cold. Super happy with the room. But it was so hot in the hallways and the lobby where the breakfast was. I understand that things break. There were zero signs up, no fans, and no staff seemed concerned.

The staff was very helpful and kind. Breakfast was great! The bed was comfy. The gym was well equipped with weights and the treadmill worked well. The pool was beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay! Thank you so much!

AC was not working in lobby or hallways.

Property looks and feels old. Bold warning signs on door warning about guests, which leads me to believe it has partying and/or prostitution problems. Elevator is slow and the pool looks like a biohazard. I probably should have spent the additional $10/night for a different hotel.

Breakfast was good, treadmill was out of order in fitness center, service was average.

The property doesn't have good lighting outside and a small entry and lobby.

I liked this hotel a lot. The room was clean, colorful and comfortable. The lady that checked me in was great. I liked that it had breakfast options in the morning. The only problem I encountered was parking, there were a few large trucks that took up several spaces in the lot. The staff did manage to help me get a space though.

There was a cockroach in my room and some other little bugs, there was no shampoo in my room and there was still soap in the shower from the previous guest

No towel , bed sheet dirty , bath room is bed condition and room was open when I come in

It was great staff super friendly front desk staff was great they made sure we got everything we needed. The room was spotless we definitely will stay there next year for nekocon.

One of the most cleanliness hotels I stayed in by far

A/C in halls not working, rooms had holes in walls, shower curtain rod busted and you couldn't position curtain correctly so everything in bathroom got wet, roaches

The room was not particularly clean and the beds were horrible. Shower could be only blistering hot or ice cold. The breakfast spread was okay but the toppings set out for waffles had clearly been out day after day and the lobby was too hot to sit and eat. The pool area did look clean and well-kept but overall, would not recommend.

No . The ceiling was caved in.and it .was leaking . I have pictures someone had left dirty water in the tub the toilet wouldn't flush it had dirty urine. The bed wasn't completely made it look like someone had laid across the bed and rearranged the pillows.. I was very disappointed I have pictures but they won't let me upload them

The breakfast was okay, but the eggs were not good. Our stay was okay until my wife saw a roach when she was getting out of the shower, which made the remainder of our stay uncomfortable. Constantly looking out for roaches is not good for anyone's stay.

The bed had bed bugs. We got eaten up. It was hard getting back in the hotel at night. The second night the TV stopped working. Overall, it was a misable experience.

I enjoyed my stay. My room was nice, clean and cozy! The staff were friendly and breakfast was amazing.

Initially I could not find a hairdryer and I asked the gentleman at the desk and he "didn't know." Eventually after buying a hairdryer I did find it hanging on the back of the bathroom door. The AC is nice however there is no way to keep the fan running, therefore every time the compressor went off so did the fan. I was unable to find any setting to just keep the fan on and this resulted in me waking everytime the compressor went off. I also had a room with an adjoining room which when the family came in about midnight it seemed as if the door was made of tissue paper. I would not be exaggerating to say I believe i heard almost everthing going on in that room. This could be as a result of the vinyl flooring instead of a rug/carpet. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. Didnt catch breakfast so I have no idea. Also they must be pet friendly because the dog barking was also disruptive to my sleep. I think they are trying to improve the property but I will definitely look elsewhere for my next stay.

Small room; old and malfunctioning equipment

WiFi didn’t work. Smart TV didn’t work as a smart tv. No soap provided. Ironing board was broken.

Didn’t have any towels at all. Only hand towels. When asked was told didn’t have any. We was provided 2 washcloths and 2 hand towels for our stay. The channels provided didn’t work on the tv. Only 5 channels worked.

The property was clean, and the rooms were allergy friendly, no carpet...I prefer no carpet rooms due to allergies. But many hotels use soundproofing materials before laying the vinyl flooring. BW did not, as a result you can hear everything going on in the room above you. This wouldn't be too bad if during quiet hours ppl were quiet. The room above us was so noisy that we had to notify front desk at 2:40am that they needed to quiet down. The noise stopped for 30mins then we were kept awake by hearing very plainly sex from the room above us for another two hours. Add this frustration to the very uncomfortable bed and sleeping in the car would have been a better option. My SO can sleep on just about anything he prefers firm, so a floor is no big deal for him, so when he says the bed was a brick and extremely uncomfortable, trust me , it was! The staff were polite, the breakfast was good, nothing fancy but it was hot and our autistic son ate the bacon and the eggs. If we could have managed to get some sleep in spite of the noise we might stay here again but since the beds are not sleep worthy and the noise was unbearable (I believe it would have been unbearable with a quiet couple because we heard the conversations too) we will not be staying here again.

The location of the hotel was great! Check in was great!! Once we got to the room we noticed the towels n wash clothes as well as toilet tissue were not replaced after cleaning. Called down to the main desk(room phone did not work) he asked for one of us to come down for them he had no one to bring them up. Problem solved! NOPE TV in the room did not work was stuck on a commercial and would not even turn off… No big deal we were exhausted anyways.. The AC in the room in the beginning was amazing! Once we all laid down it instantly got hot I turned the thermostat to 68 didn’t turn on then 66 kicked on for a few minutes only for us to realize it was blowing hot air out.. I did let the front desk know hoping it’s resolved before the next guests check in to that room.

The grounds look clean and maintained. The staff at front desk was friendly during check in. Lobby was clean. Air condition didn’t work or was non existent in elevator and hallway. Room was clean and ac worked. However must be thin walls. Could hear any noises in hallway. Foot traffic. Carts. Ect. As I was leaving and walking down hallway, I could hear other rooms TVs and showers running. I’m a deep sleeper and was woke up by random noises quite a few times over night.

Paper thin walls, we heard guest in adjoining rooms late at night and very early in the morning, our friends stayed across the hall from us and had a leak in their bathroom ceiling all night

The rooms are large and clean but need renovations.

Staff was welcoming and check in was super easy! I didn’t even realize reception handed my husband our room keys. We didn’t stay in room too long as we were in the area for a concert. This is prime location if you’re visiting Hampton Colosseum! You can walk! I saw pool from reception area and it was okay. I did notice staff pulling out pool tubes to add to pool area. Rooms need a good upgrading if owners are willing to spend. Furniture has been updated but if other updates are made I feel it would make a huge difference. An easy fix may be a cute yet neutral wallpaper. Walls seems to have been popcorned then sanded down. Room was clean & lady working and managing the breakfast area was friendly and super helpful. We couldn’t get the waffle machine to work & she stood there ensuring our waffles would be fully cooked. Staff was friendly but very minimal with conversation. Reception usually has so much great information to share about the area!! They were however polite and did answer all questions I had. I noticed we arrived late from concert and parking was scarce. If we you get too late I’m wondering where do we park??? Staff up front didn’t really handle drink area. Lemon water stand was empty and even though we asked for water reception guiding us to the gym where you can find a water dispenser without lemons. 😞 The water dispenser needed to be cleaned as it was overflowing with water and lights were coming on and off. May need to be serviced…

Front desk personnel overnight- RUDE

Service was bad , had a bunch of teenagers messing around on the elevator to the point where I had to take the stairs . They weren’t even guest there . Food sucked . Promised me a 24 hour security deposit return , and it’s been over 4 days and never got it back . So now I’ve been arguing on the phone with hotel management to refund me my security deposit. It s like there trying to rob me. Never again .

I was skeptical when we booked it but it totally blew me away! We come every year to Hampton and this would be my go to hotel! Affordable-clean!-staff very friendly-easy check in. Thank you so much!

The front desk was horrible the floor was separated and cut my foot. They locked me out of my room before check out and acted as it was an inconvenience to let me in. I had to buy a towel because all they had clean was hand towels The tub was a slow slow drain

Check in was very unprofessional, desk clerk was talking on her cell phone while we just stood there waiting on her. Work comes first when your at work.

Check-in time was 3pm arrived at 5pm and the room still wasn't ready. The communication about this was terrible. As everyone is waiting in line they are told one by one instead of making a general announcement that no rooms are ready people were made to wait 10-15min to find out. When asked when they would be ready the clerk simply said " don't know". The clerk and housekeeping proceeded to yell back and fourth about what rooms needed cleaning. We were an hour late to our venue because of it.

Plenty of dinner options available nearby. Public bus stops close by, but also very walkable. The motel is nice. No complaints.

The breakfast was wonderful the staff was nice I enjoyed my stay.

There was some fighting in the parking lot that woke me up at 4:15 AM and the breakfast was cold and not a good selection at all. I woke up in the morning and there was a big spider running across the floor. After that I didn't get back to sleep.

Property was very clean. Free breakfast was really good. Lots of choices. Staff was friendly. Great price. Great location.

The stay was good. I was not concerned about my car. The breakfast could have been better, the eggs were cold the muffins were still partly frozen. The phone in the room and the bathroom fan wasn’t working. The hotel and the rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable. I will stay there again 😀 and recommend this best western!

The check-in easy after you sign and initial the electronic document about quiet time and odd smells from room that could result in the police being called to escort you off the property. Both of these activities was observed by me. I guess the desk clerk would have to walk the hallway to smell the weed from certain rooms. My daughter was restless due to noise from the parking lot you could hear from our second floor room. The breakfast stated 6 to 9 however when i went down at 630 it was still being setup i guess it was ready at 7 as i checked out. This was my first time staying at a BW. The price was right for a last minute room serach. The room were clean and firm mattress. The staff was friendly and patient as i witness him deal with rude customer about a room issue.
