Comfort Inn Kennesaw

The only positive comments would be that the beds were comfortable, the check-in person was friendly, and the hotel was near plenty of restaurants and stores. Unfortunately, the parking lot was small and there was trash everywhere. There was also an abandoned car with all flat tires and no license plate. The inside smelled like cigarette smoke. We noticed stains on the carpet in the hallway and in our room. The supplied mini-fridge was warm, not working. Bathroom walls were dirty. The shower curtain rod was improperly installed, causing the curtain to not stay put and kept rolling towards the middle, therefore causing water to splash outside the tub. I had to keep the curtain pulled with one hand while trying to wash with the other hand, which was a little difficult. No vent/fan in the bathroom which is probably why there was black mold on the ceiling directly above shower. The bathroom door was huge and you can barely move around when you’re trying to get in and close the door. The air conditioner was noisy and had a very musty smell, and every time it shut off it would make a loud squeaking noise. The elevator certificate said it was last inspected in 2023 and expired in February 2024. They offered free breakfast, but due to everything listed above we had no desire to stay and eat.

It was a fine facility but the fire alarm (false alarm) went off at 1am. Not fun

Breakfast was good. Staff nice. Parking ample. Limited amenities at this location. A bit overpriced.

There were zero parking spots available in the lot. Myself and several other guests who had already reserved rooms were unable to park at the hotel. Hotel staff cited customers of a neighboring restaurant taking their spots as the reason why, but was not helpful at all in resolving the issue. When asked what I should do as far as parking my car, Gene replied with "Try to find an open spot and take that one" before hanging up.

Aging hotel. Strong odors of dog and carpet fresh in room. Convenient parking and nearby access to restaurants. Nice hot breakfast.

The hotel is really outdated, and while at first it appeared clean it was not maintained well. There was mold and damage to both the sink and the tub. The parking lot is small and not very well lit. The staff member checking us in was friendly. Overall, it was fine for a night but I would look elsewhere next time.

It was kind of run down, but clean and great staff. No pool or gym. Breakfast was OK. Good scramble eggs and cheese, plus the usual. Vending machines were empty. Ice was only available on the first floor.

Parking was terrible. Was given a sign with room number to place in car to move if necessary because there were no available spaces and we had to park in front of entrance. Front desk called room after midnight to move car. Facility is outdated. However staff was amazing.

There is a sign at the entrance no trucks allowed. Can’t rate or review anything else as we were not even able to check in, and yet the Hotel refused a refund.

Musty odor as soon as we entered lobby. When we got to our room on the second floor I smelled cleaner until we entered the room and then again another musty smell. When air conditioning unit kicked on it sounded like a trash compactor, very loud, it woke me up several times. The carpets were dirty. The drapes wouldn’t close all the way and they were partially hanging off the window with a hole in one of them and dirty. On a good note, the desk clerk Gene was very friendly upon arriving. The mattresses and pillows were comfortable. Out of the three hotels we stayed in on our trip back home, your hotel was the most expensive and most rundown. We wouldn’t stay there again.

No new toilet paper in the bathroom, the showerhead was leaking, there were crumbs on the bedsheet, the AC was extremely loud, I didn’t sleep good at all

The room had a musty smell and the floor unit ac had what appeared to be mold on the vents. The bed was comfortable but the smell of the room made it difficult to rest. The breakfast was a have cut cheese omelette that was over cooked in a microwave and the muffins were not fresh. They do have an option to make waffles.

Sheets and bedding were not fresh. It smelled like sweat. The sheets and blankets were reused. Asked for new sheets and blankets at the front desk and was told that they were all out. Hotel elevator inspection tag is expired for over a year The price was for this 2 star hotel was about the same as other 3 to 4 star hotel. I would stay away from this hotel

Clean room.

We had a wonderful stay! The room was very clean. Always changed our garbage out and towels. The breakfast was great. Came back and stayed an extra night.

Just a quick overnight stay and we had no issues. Only thing that bothered me was the noise from the highway and would have asked to for a room on the opposite side if I had known we were so close to the highway. Breakfast was decent and the coffee was good. The bed and pillows were comfortable.

The interstate traffic noise was so loud. I played a white noise sound app on my phone trying to drown it out and I could still hear the noise over it. The beds are way too firm. I'm a side sleeper and my hips were hurting so bad. There was mold present in the bathroom along the corners and on the ceiling and there was even mold on the lamp shade of the bedside lamp that was closest to the a/c. Breakfast was okay. It was bacon, muffins, fruit and waffles (if you wanted to make them).

There was no hot water so we had to take cold shower. The night desk person was a bit snippy. When asked what they provided for the free breakfast, "It's hotel food, what do you expect?" I just wanted to know if they served hot food or just continental. We won't be staying at that Comfort Inn again.

Right beside the highway so VERY noisy. Beds were clean and comfortable, but bathroom could have been cleaned better.

Ok for one night. Paid for 2 rooms but couldn’t get keys for both rooms. Someone who was staying in the other room had to get it so that slowed the process down. One of the rooms reeked with cigarette smoke but we were given another room. Could use refurbishing. Bathroom layout is terrible. Almost have to stand in the shower to close the door because it is so small.

It was quiet and dark. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and breakfast was included.

breakfast wasn't good. too little to choose from staff making noises at night close to rooms and walking you up. having to sign in to internet every time you wanted to use it

We were attempting to get away from Florida hurricanes, and finding a room after 14 hours on the road was a huge relief. The beds were fine, the breakfast was complimentary but the bathroom was very small.

Booked a room at Comfort Inn located in Kennesaw, GA via Expedia for my wife, who was traveling in the middle of the night with our child--paid for it in advance. Desk clerk would not allow my wife to check in (she's obviously not me). I understand rules, but a 52-year-old woman, with the itinerary number, a copy of the pre-paid registration on her phone, a valid driver’s license, same last name, in the middle of the night, with a child? Please! And, he's watching South Park on television with characters using profane language so my daughter can hear it? Condescending, cocky and constantly smirking while stating, "you used a third party" while referring to Expedia. I will never stay at your hotel again. Total lack of professionalism.

Glen the night front desk manager was tremendously friendly, kind, tender and quite the happy fellow! He alone made our stay extremely pleasurable! There room was clean, spacious and very comfortable.

Tried to check out and no one was at the service desk. I called on the phone to see if anyone would come up front and left after 20 minutes with no receipt of my stay to turn in for my business trip. Maybe they were under staffed, but that was a little frustrating.

Had issues with air not cooling properly. The front desk was notifed and maintenance was sent to the room. Maintenance informed me the room was not cooling on one side and would recommend a room transfer. When i spoke with the front desk, she questioned the validity and came to the room to see if the room was at an "acceptable temperature". She told me and my friend that the room was cool enough and that it should be fine. I told her it was not cooling and eventually she agreed to move me to another room but not before demanding we move in 10 minutes and stood at the door to watch us pretty much pack our belongings. When I returned the room keys she scolded me repeatedly and told me if there was anything wrong with the other room she would refuse to move me to another room! I have booked and stayed at a number of hotels and this was the worse and most demeaning experience I\'ve ever encountered! I will never stay/book there again.

Staff was great, I had a super late check in, I called ahead and had no issues checking-in, in the middle of the night.

When we arrived, there was only one older gentleman at the front desk and he was having severe difficulty because he was alone and there were more than 20 people waiting to get checked in. He was also answering phones. It took FOREVER to take care of us and everyone was tired. It’s unacceptable that they only had 1 person working with a SOLD OUT hotel.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was easy to find with a starbucks across the street. There are lots of restaurants and fast food near by. We stayed for a baseball tournament and it was in a safe area and we had no issues at all.

The hotel was very nice. The night clerk, Gene, was very nice! Beds were very comfortable. My only complaint is they ran out of orange juice 45 minutes before the end of breakfast time. I don’t drink coffee an orange juice was the only drink for me and they didn’t have any for the last 45 minutes breakfast was supposed to last.

Hotel is good. Breakfast could have been better bacon very thin crumbly and tasteless. Waffles and eggs not good either. Disappointing

Liked it all great room. good evening crew Would have been perfect if the breakfast was hot. We were the first ones same wit there and the omelet was just barley warm same with sausages slightly underdone and cool Coffee a well. Great place and room will be back

Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast for the family was great included awesome waffles plus eggs bacon yogurt and fruit! Would stay here again. Staff was friendly!

The little Food set out for breakfast was cold. Sausage looked uncooked. Coffee ran out, no one checking. As i arrived, a person apparently not registered nor employed came in to buffet, took four cups of coffee and left. Price was right, but a few improvements needed

Room was very clean and housekeeping was attentive to detail. Bed was exceptionally comfy with many fluffy pillows to choose from (not the flat pancake pillows at other places). Area appeared to be safe and well lit. Many stores and Resturants to choose from within walking distance or a short drive. Breakfast was slim pickings and a TV guide would be nice. Would stay here again

The room was clean—no complaints there. And even though it was Labor Day weekend, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Our only complaint was that the window unit AC was terribly loud. We’ve obviously stayed in many hotels over many years and those things are often noisy but this one took the “most noisy” prize. Room 219—don’t recommend. But other than that, everything was great! Breakfast was great too! Eggs, bacon sausage and waffles and the usual spread.
