Wyndham Garden Duluth

While I was staying on the 4th floor, I was not informed that the hallway carpet would be replaced in the morning, which caused some inconvenience. Also, the room I stayed in was not properly cleaned.

This was honestly a bit of a disaster. The room we got had stained sheets and blankets, there was a giant roach in the lobby, and when we turned on the water it came out black (which they said was because there was construction and they redirected water but still disgusting and made me not want to drink the water there). A fun little highlight is when we almost got stuck in the elevator with a worker, the elevator door opened maybe an inch or so and then stopped, and the worker told my friend to try to open it manually? Advising a customer to stick their hands in machinery that is actively malfunctioning is crazy. Our key cards also stopped working multiple times, we were careful not to put them near our phones/magnetic strips on cards, but it happened multiple times to all of our cards.

The parking lot had a lot of trash in it. Certainly it was due to the guest and perhaps transient people that appeared to be hanging around.

The elevator sounds as if it may stop and lock and toilet in my room moves when I sit down

Low flow water. TV buffers whole time so you cannot watch tv. Iron is broken so couldn’t iron my outfit.

Room wasn’t bad except noise from hall and highway was easily heard. Halls had dirty carpet and smelled of smoke- cigarettes and marijuana. Restaurant was very mediocre. Missed the $25 per night per dog fee when booking, but that was on me.

Checked in to a room with unusable shower. I mean how could that not been known. Maintenance came and did its best , but that problem is far beyond a new shower head. The hotter the water it looses water pressure. It seems like a neglected room. It seems part of an update but refuses to upgrade the TV. That tv was at least 20 years old. I hope the read this review and do something about this room. After all you are paying for a functional room.

Garbage all over the parking lot. No food, pool was dirty.

There was other people’s hair on the bed linen and in the shower. The shower had the old bar of soap half used from a prior guest. I would not stay there again.

Outdated facility in need of a renovation and better housekeeping. Floors were very sticky when we arrived so we had to keep our sandals on until we could get the floors re-mopped with fresh soap & water. Hallways wreaked of marijuana constantly as the smell was imbedded into the carpet

The front desk staff was very short with guest, they rushed you through check in. The entrance wasn't wasn't clean people were milling around the entrance. The hallways were very dirty, yes they were taking the carpet up, and it needed to removed. Around the tub, and toilet in the bathroom had dirt in the corners, the place was filthy. We brought Clorox and Lysol spray clean and spray our room 211 it was a horrible 3 night stay at the Wyndham Gardens, NEVER AGAIN. The linen for the beds and towels

Very dirty, smells, the room was "EXTREMELY" damped ! Toilet was not stable, shower was terrible.

My room was dirry. It had not been cleaned. The bathroom was very dirty, hair all in the tub.

Horrible place! If you are thinking about staying here I would highly reconsider! Elevator smelled horrible, we informed the front desk and they immediately grabbed a bottle of air freshener under the desk and came over to spray the elevator (I’d imagine it’s a normal occurrence since the freshener was within hands reach) hallways both carpet & walls were extremely dirty. When we got to the room and saw the soiled bedsheets with what looked like dry blood or some type of bodily fluid, that was it! They obviously reuse the linens and do not properly wash & sanitize. I can point out more things but we’d be here a while! I don’t expect a 5star facility but it at least needs to be clean and sanitary. Walked right down and told them we were not staying and they only offered to switch rooms, no way I’m staying here! They completely refused to give me a refund and said that their policy did not allow them to refund us. Completely rude and inconsiderate workers in the front lobby. None of them would give us their names or say who was the manager. I had to go through my bank and file a dispute which they resolved within 24hrs! Steer clear of this place

Hotel stinks of weed and dirty clothes. Or maybe its something else. All the hallways smell ..they asked for a deposit right away before anything. Which is not mention onlinr .also the bathroom is separate from the hand wash. Looks like they repainted . When they redid our room it smell like smoke..like they were smoking inside . No 👎. Dont ever stay here ..oh and when we check out. I asked for my deposit back. The guy had me waited .and went to my room to check .before giving me back my deposit..i was like. First they didnt had change..so they made me give 100 dollar bill .and now this. .never again..i came to visit family .but never again at this place

Upon arrival we had a bad experience and the staff was horrible. When heading to our room the elevator had a really bad smell of feces, we informed the staff of the situation and they sprayed some sort of odor spray which did not help. My guess is this is normal since they had the bottle ready to go. The smell was so horrific we had to wait to go on a different elevator. Once we headed to our room we noticed the hallway being very dirty and soiled. Also the room was in terrible condition as the bed cover and sheets had stains that look like dry blood and soiled, it looked like the room had not been cleaned or if bed sheets weren’t changed. We left immediately and the staff refused to provide refund and was blaming that due to the booking being done through third party they could not provide the refund. When we reached out to Expedia they informed us that since we did a pay later that the hotel was the ones who made the charged. Expedia customer service was great and did everything in their power to try to get us our refund. Also, we contacted the health and safety county department to report the hotel unsafe and unsanitary conditions.

Bathroom door was broken, and shower was not working. Air conditioning was making very big noise!

Bathroom shower head water comes out slow pressure and cracks. Plus holes on walls in yhe bathroom.

This hotel is dated and worn. Even though it has some modern upgrades they were not done professionaly. The water pressure in shower and sink was horrible. They need new based boards, bathroom & closets doors need to replaced or painted with a more neurtral colors. The toilets are to low and close to wall.

Beds were ok, but not enough water pressure in shower and toilet was wobbly. Needs to be renovated.

The Hotel was great and clean. But the shower was not working only the tub

The room I stayed in was the highest and furthest. When I tried to shower in the morning, the hot and cold water didn't come out properly.

The water for showering is too "low". It seems that the owner of the hotel intentionally turns the water low to save money. The toilet is also not stable.

The flush wasn’t working through out our stay. No one came to fix it though informed about. AC was not working on day 1. Staff response could have been quick and better

Website did not specify payment method or that deposit was required. Staff were not friendly or helpful. Overall I did not feel welcomed.

Sam at the front desk is amazing

I rarely leave negative reviews but we were not impressed with this property. I thought, being a Wyndam, that it would be a little nicer. First, THE PROS: it's easy to get to off the highway, and the bedroom/sitting area looked newly remodeled and clean. The price was reasonable. THE CONS: They obviously stopped renovating with the bathrooms, because they looked old. The water pressure for the shower was poor -- it looked like the shower head was fairly new, but not good pressure coming out. The towels were scratchy. I expected wall dispenser type shampoo/conditioner/soap but it was old style minis. The cable TV was new but the cable connection itself seemed to be subpar, and I could find no "guide" button on the remote. All that I could have dealt with for the most part with no complaining (except for the shower pressure) but the most annoying thing was being charged $25.00 to check in "early" at 3:00 pm instead of the 4:00 pm check-in time. The room was obviously ready and the clerk gave me a "discount" down from the $35.00 fee, but I thought that was really unnecessary and outrageous, considering it was a little after 3 already and the room was available. We were travel weary and I wasn't going to sit in the lobby for an hour over the extra charge, but I was not happy. They had a whole listing of extra charges at the front desk that seemed really petty and usually not extra elsewhere. I just did not feel very good about the overall experience at this hotel.

Staff was not that friendly and did not allow us to have complimentary printer paper . The charged 2 pages of paper . Staff even cussed at us. Which was super insulting!

The hotel never returned my deposit and falsely said it was because I did not disclose thau I had a dog. I specifically went to this hotel because they accepted dogs and the front desk staff even interacted with my dog. This has been over 2 months and they refuse to rectify this situation and the manager, Sam Darcy was very rude and basically told me that it is not his issue and I should contact my bank to file a claim.

I like the excellent customer service. The manager Mr. Samir is very professional and Alma the housekeeper does a great job. Everyone at the hotel very professional the place is very clean, safe. I really enjoy staying at this hotel

Property had good staffing. It was very clean hallways had a weird smell to it. No hot water during the day sometimes at night you can get a little hot water. If everybody wasn’t using the showers at the same time the area is very unsafe was solicited drugs, and sex so not sure if they’re vetting the people that come in there but it’s not a safe property at all

I recommend this hotel is very clean, safe. Staff is very friendly and professional. Alba, the housekeeper is excellent. Mr. Samir has an excellent customer service and a they work as a team. It has a positive atmosphere, I will go back again, and recommend it to my friends. The hotel has also a nice restaurant called Maracuchos, the food is great and the service is excellent!

Saw shady people sitting outside smoking weed. I honestly didn't mind as long as they didnt bother me. Front desk guy was awesome. 2nd floor hall smell like they had a weed plantation growing there. Again I didnt care. But others might care. Just a heads up. Room was nice and clean. I would stay again. No breakfast.

This hotel was very noisy, dirty, people in/out of the hotel. Awkward people sitting in front of the elevator drinking & rolling a joint. People actually live there. The hallways smell like straight up pot. Employees drinking in the lobby because they didn’t have anything to do since the restaurant was closed due to the snow storm. The bathroom is very small. Microwave stink. I have a 5 month old & I said never again I will never ever stay there again.

The rooms smelled bad, flooring and paint were poorly installed. The hotel kitchen is a rented Mexican place. Staff was unfriendly. This is not a 3 star hotel. They tried to improve the condition but it is really lipstick on a pig. I took photos to send to Windham. This hotel is worn out.
