Motel 6 Kingsland Kings Bay Naval

While the staff was very nice, the air conditioner in the room (#116) did not work properly, the microwave didn't work either, and they only had one luggage cart in the whole hotel. While we were tired of driving all day, we were too tired to ask for another room

The only good thing about this hotel was the clerk who checked me in. I stayed in the 2nd floor and the entire floor smelled old and musty. I got a room with a dbl bed and only 3 pillows. The bathroom hand towels were stained yellow, had mild growing above the bathroom shower. There was no lock on the bathroom door ans an exhaust fan that looked like it was going to fall at any minute. The worst was when a roach crawled across my friends bed and we saw another one crawling on the wall.

Ok for the price. We booked through a dot com then the front desk guy said that there was a $5 cleaning fee. But the bathroom floor was not clean. Smoke detector was disconnected and lying on a shelf across the room. ( OSHA) violation.

The beds were fine. The bathroom was typical. The A/C was a wall unit that did not cool. It just circulated air, which was fine because it's still spring but I would imagine come summertime it would be unbearable. It did have a large size refrigerator but the TV had screen burn and it was difficult to watch with the lights on. The biggest turnoff for my family was the roaches. They weren't very big but there were quite a few. I didn't expect much for the price we paid. I'm in construction and have stayed in worse but my family was not thrilled. If you need a place to stay for cheap, this'll do!

The staff was nice. The hotel was old and not kept well. The room was dirty, the towels were dirty, and the blanket/sheets were dirty. Very disappointed would not stay here again. Thankfully it was a stopover for one night. Sorry about the review but it is what it is!
