Golden Lion

Terrible experience. They cashed money twice, and don´t want to return one payment. Dont really speak english as well. I know it is French speaking region, but come on. It´s 2026.

Prior to arriving the owner messaged telling me he wanted an additional €15 for bedding and towels…which wasn’t a problem until I got there and the towels were stained and the bedding smelt like it had been on the bed since 1940. He then asked for an additional €100 deposit just incase anything was broken while we were there! On entering the apartment I noticed all the windows open and he was obviously trying to air the place out as it smelt old and unused! There was cobwebs all over the walls and windows and a thick layer of dust on the top part of the beds! Dead flies on the floor and hair and dirt all over the floor and in plug hole on bath! Damp and mould throughout! Beds were very uncomfortable and sounded like they would break at the slightest movement! Noise throughout the night was terrible, doors slamming and cats fighting throughout the night! This was a pit stop for our road trip from Germany so had no choice but to stay here as we had 2 very tired children! I paid €140 for the pleasure of staying here and wouldn’t go back even if he paid me! Stay away from this place!

Stedet var ok, men litt gammelt og slitt. Sengene var knirkete. For en natt gikk det helt fint!

Manque d’amabilité, pas de vol dans les chambres, intimité dans la salle de bain plus que limite (Caro de verre donnant sur le couloir)

Location location location! This rental is right next to an amazing bakery and an amazing deli, and walking distance to the castle! So great! The room I booked had 2 bedrooms, but you had to walk through one to get to the other. The shower had amazing water pressure, but was a bit short even at my 5'6". The entrance is up some stairs, and then the bedrooms are up another flight. Europe has a lot of stairs! Furnishing are a bit dated and falling apart - which only matters if you spend a lot of time there.
