I liked everything about the property. The only thing that was slightly disappointing is that the jets in the hot tub were not working, only the air blower, but everything else was EXCELLENT. The room was fabulous, and the breakfast was AMAZING!!

I was on a seven day cross country trip. Our stay at this Baymont (just outside Des Moines) was one of our best hotel stays of our trip. The building is very unique for a hotel and offers clean and comfortable rooms, a large gym, large pool and even a game / TV room to hang out in. Additionally they had a small store for snacks and other items one may need or desire. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend this property and I'd stay at this Baymont again without a second thought.

I selected this hotel because the website stated a "free shuttle to/from the airport". I called 2 days prior to arriving to verify & mentioned I had a late evening arrival - would it be a problem. The response was No and thank you for letting us know in advance. My flight was delayed the day of arrival and I again called to let them know. I was told the shuttle would not run after midnight. I arrived at 11:50 & proceeded to call for the shuttle. I was told they were done for the night and not available. I proceeded to obtain a cab which cost me $35 with tip. The man at the desk when I arrived "insultingly" offered to pay half of the fare, to which I declined. There should not have been a fare at all. The room was nice, but the night check-in male was rude.

This hotel was a little out of the way but was chosen because it claims to have an EV charging station. No one at the front desk knew what I was talking about when I ask about it. One fairly unfriendly woman went off to ask someone else about it. When she came back she said if there is one it would probably be over in the truck parking lot. We drove around the lot full of semi trucks and didn’t find one. We won’t be back here again.

Awesome stay! Friendly staff, from check-in to shuttle driver. The room was clean, well appointed and comfortable beds. There is a heated indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, recreation room, and an arcade and small store with snacks, drinks and souvenirs. The free breakfast was excellent with lots of options and hot items were hot and the manager kept items restocked. The grounds were well kept and the common areas were clean. Exceeded our expectations.

Our room was at the end of the hotel on the first floor and had a musty smell. The rug was wet. Any clothes left out in the room for the day were wet from humidity when we got back, even with air at 66. Our other room was not humid across from the pool. The beds were very squeaky in that room. Other than that it was nice.

Our room was far from cleaned. Upon entering we were hit with a musty odor, smelled a little like wet dog and a floral scent to try and cover it up. Dirty cabinets, smeared with who knows what on the outside. You could clearly see finger prints, and smears from some oily substance from a dirty hand. Walls were covered in spots with unknown contents, smushed bugs in a couple places (no bedbugs though, we checked thoroughly). Bathroom was very grimy with holes in the tub, sink was stained, clogged, and slow to drain. Good water pressure in the shower though. We wore shoes the entire time inside the room because the carpets were very dirty and left our socks and feet covered in filth. You can tell right away that the walls/baseboards never get wiped down or cleaned (especially the living room and bathroom areas). I wasn't aware when booking that this was mainly a truckers hotel, so keep that in mind when booking. We can't comment on the breakfast as we didn't attempt to eat. If they can't properly clean the rooms I can't trust that food is handled properly either. To be honest we tried to spend as little time in the room as possible. If we had a longer stay we would have checked out immediately and gone to a different hotel. Lesson learned to do better research next time, we won't be staying here again. (I took pictures)

Although an older property, the Baymont was clean and very well maintained. Our room had been updated and was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was particularly tasty. All the food was hot.

Nice hotel. Our room was L shaped and had a little sitting area with a couch and another TV. We had windows facing two directions. Nothing special with the view, but I liked the extra sunlight shining in. We didn't spend much time at the hotel to use the amenities, but the pool looked nice. Fitness area looked great, lots of equipment and a nice solarium attached. Wish we could have spent some time in the cool rec room that had a pool table, air hockey, pacman, pinball machine that currently wasn't working, among other things. We didn't get to the breakfast room until a half hour before it ended. Options weren't fully stocked, but they had quite a bit of stuff; pancakes, waffles, biscuits and gravy, scambled eggs, etc. Located a few minutes from an awesome bar/restaurant/dog park called Paws and Pints. We didn't eat there, but my bloody mary was good if you like it a little spicy. It was great watching the tons of dogs having a great time. Off the beaten path, but only 20ish minutes from downtown Des Moines.

The room was clean. But the toilet barely flushed. I had to hold it down and there was a 50/50 chance of it working. One of the light fixtures didn’t work. The room was noisy because the highway runs alongside the hotel.

We were more than surprised & pleased with our room. I had booked a King Suite.. did not remember info as I had booked months prior.. so when we walked in I thought they had put us in the wrong room. I rechecked my booking info lol Price was amazing. Hotel is used a lot for conferences so has so much more than most do. Arcade, great pool, gym & bigger store than others as well as some other areas. Our room was very clean and very spacious with a full separate living room, big bedroom with 2nd TV & second refrigerator & microwave, big bathroom & smaller kitchen area & table. Laundry was reasonable & had multiple of each. Could not have asked for better with one of the best buffet breakfast we had in the 14 days on the road. Offered more than most along with bacon too. Great big variety. It fit into where I had wanted to stay location wise as well. Stores & other food locations are about 5 minutes away. Downtown about 15-20. Close to airport if needed. We had a great 2 nights. Comfy bed, great WiFi, shower was very good as well. Very private were we were located & we felt very safe in. Highly recommend.

A typical airport hotel; perfect for convenience to the airport. The shuttle was great! We booked this hotel because we were arriving around midnight but what wasn’t communicated was that the shuttle service was closed between midnight and 4am. This would’ve been helpful to know at booking because we almost missed our window to grab a shuttle due to our plane’s late arrival. Some of the staff was a bit short, but there were other staff who were amazing, so it balanced out. The beds were comfortable; great after a long day of travel.

We were just planning to stay the night before our flight the next morning. We were pleasantly surprised with their facilities. The hotel was quiet, no airport noise, staff was friendly, they had a nice size pool and an activity room I would love to have at my own house! The breakfast was the best we have seen! Our only minor complaint is that it is out by itself, no restaurants nearby.

Stayed here because of an early morning flight. The property was surprisingly clean and well maintained. The sinks in the room were super close to the ground. Like for really short people and I’m very short. There’s nothing near the hotel and we had to drive 10-15 minutes for dinner. The staff gave us suggestions and we loved the bar/grill they recommended… but I wish it would have been next door. The property is 10 minutes from the airport. Super convenient and has a convention center as well as a pool, hot tub and fitness center. We unfortunately did not have time to enjoy these amenities.

Excellent stay. My room was across from the pool but it was very quiet. Great amenities with a nice game room/pool/conference center/store. Breakfast was good! I would stay again but it's not within walking distance to anything really if that matters to you. For me it was fine!!! Close to airport too

Very nice room with lots of space. Good refrigerator and microwave. The pool and hot tub area were first rate. Convenient to the airport without noise. Close to a park with nice trails and to Valley Junction. Parking is very limited and difficult when the hotel is full.

We ended up checking in around midnight as we were in town for a music festival, but the check in process was easy and the staff was very friendly. Also, the breakfast attendant was extremely personable and patient as there were people coming in right before breakfast was scheduled to end.

The breakfast was a disaster. At 8 am there was no hot food available. Everything was empty. No staff was to be found Tables were cluttered with empty used plates and cups. At least 8 guest after us came in to find no eggs no biscuits etc.

My wife and I had another great stay at this hotel. It has so many nice amenities. We didn’t have time to use the pool area this time but have enjoyed it in the past. The staff is very friendly and always asking if you need anything. The rooms are comfy and quiet. Great light blocking shades when you want to sleep in. Everything is very clean and maintained well. And the daily breakfast included has lots of options, and the food is aways fresh. I definitely recommend staying here.
