The hotel was amazing. A breakfast that you could actually fill up on. Very spacious rooms. Added bonus to the pool was that they had pool toys and float toys as well. Hot tub was small and not very hot but other than that it was a great stay

This is an average hotel. We stayed in two different rooms- one of which was probably clean but had so many stains on furniture and in shower that it looked dirty and old. The other room was clean and looked nice. The room set up was nice, with a couch and kitchen-type area. Breakfast was decent, but nothing special. The staff however, were incredibly friendly and helpful, so that made it much better! It wouldn't be my first pick to stay in next time I'm in Des Moines, but I also wouldn't rule it out.

Bedding was soiled. I am assuming sheets had not been changed between guests. Big dirty spot was noted on the sheets. $50 credit was offered. Not enough to make a difference. Management says this is below their standard but won’t return phone calls or emails. Carpets filthy, stains everywhere. It smelled musty and old, like they needed to deep clean. Do not stay at this property. DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY!

I apparently made a poor assumption that booking a Marriott would be a nice atmosphere. The rooms were so dirty and poorly kept. There was a consistent layer of test over everything in the room, the sprinklers had dust and debris on them, the shower was covered in hair and dirt. There were even large crumbs on one of the beds. The room smelled like smoke. The room was very dark, dank, and was very warm despite having the air turned all the way cold. The whole room just felt generally unclean. The mattresses were so hard, I felt like I was sleeping on a box spring. While it was a reasonable price compared to over hotels in the area, it was definitely more than it was worth. I may as well have stayed at a Motel 6 for half the price.
