Room very good for an old building. Staff friendly but didn’t seem to know how to get out of parking. Said they were “out of passes” so you had to pay the building rate and not the hotel rate. Right next to the train station so very convenient for getting around; many food options.

Old building with modern accommodation. Great secure feeling. Area around the hotel has plenty of dining options and the smallest Target store I've ever seen. There is parking in the parking garage but make sure you ask for there parking pass, that's $25 per day if not its a flat $41 per exit.

I attended a concert at Wrigley Field, and the hotel’s convenient location near the subway was definitely a plus. However, the hotel had a noticeable musty odor, and many of the facilities appeared dated. Additionally, if you arrive later in the evening, parking passes are no longer available, so securing your own parking is necessary.

Convenient to Wrigley Field. Room was clean and staff was nice. Great that bathroom had a bathtub! Only had 5 parking passes for 45 rooms— unacceptable! ( we didn’t get one— ran out) Elevator holds only 3 people at a time.

Nice place to stay for a Cubs game. Loved the walkability. Felt very safe. Listing needs updated. They do not have parking, nor do they serve breakfast. Nice little hotel though.

Convenient location & relatively comfortable, but definitely wouldn’t be my first pick if you have other options, especially at the weekend rate. It isn’t BAD, it’s just kind of musty and dark and worn out. Ex: the dresser drawers were new but always flew open because the floor was slanted. Creaky floors, new sheets. That kind of thing. Parking was $30ish, right around the corner and we had no issue. Several coffee & quick food options right there, and obviously the train is very close. The hotel was surprisingly quiet given the location, at least until it got busier on Friday. The gym is also offsite, but well worth the 5 minute walk. Beautiful, new, largely empty.

There really isn't anywhere to park that's affordable and safe nearby. We had to put our car in a public lot for $28 a day that was over a mile away. We had to pay to take the El to and from our car.

Don't let the reviews and hotel ratings fool you. While this place appears to have great reviews from prior patrons, it is not a quality hotel. The photos of the rooms do not represent the current conditions: the floors squeak (at all hours); the radiators and heaters make awful noises; the room was not very clean (garbage behind the toilet); and the room, hallways, and elevator reeked like a mix of cleaner, smoke, and marijuana. We were very uncomfortable in the hotel and in our room (which was much smaller/more compact than the photos represent).

The location is excellent with several restaurants nearby, walking distance to stores (Target, Whole Foods, etc.) a famous Chicago pizza location, and public transit. The hotel is a little worn down (Historic?) such as a tiny elevator and creaky floors, but the bed was new and comfortable as was the condition of the room. Everything was very clean and safe. I was greeted by the front desk staff every time I went through the lobby. The neighborhood was good and it was convenient to step outside, get a coffee and a bagel and take the El (Train) downtown.

Small urban hotel in a vibrant part of Chicago. We heard no train noise and loved proximity to the brown line. No restaurant in the hotel but no need. Tons of food just steps away outside. Appreciated coffee in the lobby, fridge in the room, friendly desk staff. If you need a comfortable, very clean and well maintained room, this is it. Really liked the sitting room separate from the bedroom, and nice bathroom. Comfy beds and towels, too. If you book through a 3rd party, be sure you understand the pricing.

This was a very last minute booking because our other booking was canceled with short notice. The room had a mildewy smell and we could hear everyone in the rooms around us. We also did not have hot water in the shower. Very disappointed. I will add that it was a great location.

Overall a great little hotel conveniently located right next to the red line Belmont station and spitting distance from a number of bars and restaurants. The location has its pros and cons - great to be so close but the windows certainly don’t block out any noise from the metro train or the late night crowds. I just turned the AC fan on to drown out the noise. Very small rooms not meant for a tall person. Took me a minute to find the bathroom light switch and I have to squeeze between the space between the TV and bed. Staff does a good job and of course the hotel is LGBTQ friendly. Overall I recommend this location as long as the price is under $200 a night. Otherwise you’re overpaying.

Really comfortable beds. Room is two separate rooms, bedroom and sitting area. Nice overhead fans. Cute kind of vintage room. Cons: very small elevator. Random fire alarms in the middle of the night. Old building so heard every footstep of person in room above us. Tv was hard to work. Shower pressure not great. But, very comfortable beds!

The bed was the best part of our stay. It would haven been helpful if the front desk girl was friendly to start off. She was a young girl. Everyone else said hello as we passed by with the exception of her. She shouldn’t be working there. We never got our free bottle of wine that was promised to us because of my VIP status when it comes to perks for booking so often. (Good status) We did like how close we were to everything. Other than that, first impressions mean a lot to me. The customer service was trash on her part. We will not booking to stay here ever again.

My friend that stayed with me was told that he could use his credit card to check in for the reservation and wouldn’t be charged as long as we used my credit card. I made sure to check with the receptionist and was ensured my card would be charged once we checked out, however now my friend is being charged even after I have already paid on my credit card. The stay was pleasant but this experience has completely tainted any positive experience I had while staying there.

The gentleman at check in was not terribly friendly and very unhelpful concerning the parking situation. The other desk attendants were not friendly or happy either. I used to stay at this hotel on every trip to Chicago, granted it’s been several years but this will be my last stay at Ciry Suites.

Shout out to Gabriel in particular at the front desk. On the hellish eve of the Microsoft disruption he was beyond nice and friendly. Aside from everything else at the hotel a friendly face really matters. Thank you!

Stay was perfect. We were able to get into the room a couple of hours early, which was a blessing after a long drive in. Front desk staff was efficient and friendly, and the lobby is beautiful. Free coffee and tea all day was wonderful. The room was large, and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The whole hotel is nicely decorated with artworks. Our only minor quibble was the shower water pressure was weak and though there were a ton of outlets in the room, all were in inconvenient locations not near furniture, so we charged our phones on the floor and had to get creative with a CPAP machine. All in all, we would 100% stay here again. We had a great stay.

The front door is locked making it feel safe inside. The area itself is pretty okay, it's right around the corner from the vic theater and is about a 15 minutes walk from Wrigley Field or the Metro.

The hotel was super cute!! The doors from the street lock at night time so you need to use your room key to get it. It is an older building but very clean. It was extremely convenient for us as we were there to see a show at the vic, right around the corner. It is within walking distance to the L, multiple places to eat, a tattoo/piercing shop, grocery store, a target, and many coffee places.

Clean, comfortable and conveniently located. Our flight was delayed, but the night manager was wonderful about getting us checked in remotely and having the room ready for us. I would say 7 blocks from Wrigley Stadium which is a nice buffering distance while remaining totally walkable.

It was a very convenient location for our concert. We also enjoy that it had so many restaurant and bar options just a short block away. The front desk was very helpful with finding us suitable parking. Only downside is if youre a light sleeper, Chicago is busy so we heard some stuff but we just had the AC on so it helped tune those out. Would gladly stay here again

This was a perfect place to stay after an extremely hot day at Wrigley. Hidden, quiet, dark, and cool. Had ceiling fans which was a plus and I enjoyed the layout of the room. Very cheap mini bar that included snacks. Would definitely stay again if I were in Wrigley. This is a boutique hotel with character.

Such a cute hotel with great service. The cleanliness of the room was questionable, as it was obvious the toilet had not been cleaned. One of the mini bar seltzer waters was open with the lid put back on and there was a Coke can under the bed. Just seemed like not a lot of attention was paid when cleaning. The location is great and there are so many dining and shopping options nearby and it’s fairly close to Wrigley Field. Parking is in a secure garage a few blocks away, which is not a big deal. There was no hotel-associated discount when using this garage so finding your own parking is an option too.
