Hotel is literally right off the highway. There’s a SpotHero parking lot right in front of the hotel that was only $13 for overnight parking and is well lit. We can keep an eye on our vehicles from our room. Can’t beat the convenience factor here!

While clean, the room had wear and tear, the sheets were too small for the mattresses and kept coming off in the night, the bathroom was really small and cramped. Parking at the hotel was $65 a night and very limited spots. There is a public parking lot right next door that was a lot cheaper to park at.

Very nice property near Union Station. Nice rooftop pool area, comfortable rooms/bedding. It’s not located near many restaurants, bars, convenience markets. Closest market was a 12 min walk. The hotel offers a few snacks, drinks, beer, wine (but only Sutter Home - yikes) in its lobby store. You may want to bring provisions.

The staff were amazing at the front desk. They went above and beyond for us. The pool was a perfect temperature and perfect for a morning swim and a late night swim after exploring the city. My complaint is the sound proofing. We could hear all the street noise and I’m assuming if we were next to someone loud we would have heard them too. Bring earplugs and keep the fan on the A/C running for the night if you can. Parking is $65 so use park pirate for the lot just below the hotel. We paid $15 a night or so.

Restaurant is not open enough hours. Parking lot prices between upper and lower were unfair, especially if you were handicap. Lower parking dirty where garbage cans are. Snacks too expensive.

We found a cockroach in the bathtub and were told there were no available rooms to transfer us to and no management on duty over the weekends. When I finally was able to get ahold of a manager AFTER our stay was over, she only offered a partial refund.

In the parking lot where you're supposed to pay for the service, there are people who aren't guests using drugs all day long, making the smell when you enter the hotel unpleasant and uncomfortable for both tourists and hotel guests. Cleanliness. The bathroom is only cleaned the day the room is checked out. The next day, they only leave you the toilet paper you had the day before. The shower has hair in it (of course, from the person staying). The beds have folded sheets, and with the bottom sheet folded, it looked like they had only put back the main bedspread because there were even stones or dust inside the sheets. Service perfect.

Location: not bad. Super close to the Clinton station of the blue line, thus very easy to get to the airport. But there is no store or restaurant within 5 mins of walk. There are some stores like Dunkin, H mart (a Korean supermarket) about 10 minutes away by walking. Cleanse : OK. I saw a long white (or blonde) hair entangled with the telephone cord. Otherwise, no issue. Quietness: It is very close to a major highway, and the room is not very soundproofing. I could hear the guests next door talk if loudly, threw up at 2am, and turned on their shower. And I could hear the highway all the time, especially some motorcycles. I would suggest you to bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Location is excellent. 2-3 blocks from Union Station (Amtrak & Metra), and a CTA Blue Line stop. About 5 minute walk to the Loop. Some great restaurants within a couple blocks. The hotel is older and a little shop worn, but it was clean and the staff we met were all friendly and helpful. Because we mentioned we were in a special anniversary trip, the lady at check in gave us two breakfast vouchers. Breakfast is buffet style, like what is free at many hotels (but not as good) and here costs $22. Had we paid for it, we would have been very disappointed. So book the hotel for convenience and skip the breakfast!

This location is superb for Amtrak travel. Although the hotel is next to a highway exit, I could not hear cars. I was able to use the wifi to do work Zoom meetings and they even have a mobile desk in the room so that you can move your location for best lighting and background. Staff is friendly.

The hotel staff was very accommodating and hospitable, specifically Alina at the front desk. The rooms were up to date and cleanly. The only negative part of my stay was the TV which had a terrible connection and glitched or was inactive for each channel provided.

I felt the room was a little small. It was just two sisters staying but if it was a family with children, it would be pretty tight. The bathroom did not have a fan which surprised me and the tub was slippery. We are both seniors and we felt a little uneasy while showering. It would be nice to have a bath mat or have the tub outfitted with slip resistant material. Overall the room was fine. The mattress and pillows, etc. were great!

The lady at the front desk at night for check-in was horribly rude. Wouldn’t budge to help with anything including taking my $10 for seven dollar drink and saying she didn’t have three dollars change. I’m a Holiday Inn member and I wasn’t allowed to have my late check out I didn’t know that until the day I was checking out, they told me I had to get out when I was supposed to be for I couldn’t go to that so I missed my parent information day at college which I drove all the way up from New York to go to and I thought you were allowed to use the amenities like the pool after you checked out on the day, but they wouldn’t let me use the pool on the day. I checked out so I couldn’t use the pool at all , which is why I picked this one

Location is good if you are visiting a business at The Old Office. If traveling from ORD - blue line subway station is a 2 min walk. It is roughly 24min walk to the Bean and 45mins to Navy Pier. Plenty of places nearby to eat. Rooms and windows are very dated. The traffic noise was very loud! Staff was very helpful.

Room itself was clean and comfortable. Good location, staff were friendly. However, after my first night, I had breakfast the next morning, scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and orange juice - a pretty standard breakfast for me at home too - and proceeded to throw up for 6-7 hours. I had a pounding headache and even water was coming right back up minutes later. I felt like I’d faint just trying to walk down the hall to the ice machine. I rarely get sick, much less throw up, so this was extremely unusual for me. I had to cancel all of my plans for that day and most of the next day. With only a weekend in Chicago, it was very disappointing to miss nearly both full days of a trip I had planned for a year. I had purchased tickets for several museums and events that I was not able to attend because I could not stop throwing up. My final morning of the trip, I had a waffle, which was held in a heated tray but lukewarm. I barely ate it because I feared getting sick again, and I felt nauseous that whole morning. I worked in food service for five years and it makes me wonder if the food is being held for too long or at the incorrect temperature. Whatever it was, my experience was horrible. Additionally, there was a labor demonstration outside the hotel for the length of my trip. I commend the housekeeping staff for fighting for their rights. Treat your employees like humans and they won’t have to use the megaphone and bang drums at 5:00 AM.

I guess you can say we were UNDERWHELMED. The room decor, halls, and elevators were drab. (More artwork on the walls or drapes would help) The room was in need of updating: paint peeling in the bathroom, stain on the couch. But worst of all was the breakfast. Hotel should be ashamed to charge $22 each for what another review called mediocre at best. Instant oatmeal, no juice machine (you had to specially order juice from the hostess), minimal supply of bread offering. No fresh fruit. Unappealling and minimal supply of pastry. Poor hostess had much too much to do -- and so silverware was out when we arrived, several food containers needed to be refilled, etc. We had hoped for something special for the buffet; instead we left feeling hungry and ripped off. Also: the neighborhood felt sketchy and we were not eager to walk around outdoors.On the other hand: the staff were warm and welcoming and the bed was quite comfortable. The rooftop pool looked quite inviting. Very disappointing stay.

I would say The buffet breakfast could have used a lot more variety for the price they're charging. Scrambled eggs potatoes and sausage is so very standard yet nothing of the unusual. At least have biscuits and gravy or a waffle machine. Definitely not worth what turned out to be a few cents short of $50 for two people.
