Super 8 by Wyndham East Peoria

We got into East Peoria very late, and I needed to familiarize myself with the area. This place had a comfortable bed and was clean. The only suggestion I would recommend is additional lighting in the parking area.

Property was not kept up very well. Vending machines not stocked adequately. We were given 1 towel and had to return it to the front desk before they would give us another.

The facility is quite worn and rundown. No room cleaning service no towel replacement. I managed to find a cart with towels and put one in the room. The breakfast was a no go. There was a couple cereal containers that looked dirty and a waffle maker that was dirty not much else. The dining area was also unclean. Staff was pleasant and polite. It’s just not what it looked like online.

Had to switch rooms because tv quit working after about an hour. New room air was not working. Manager had to look at it and reset the whole thing. Calcium build up on shower head was bad. There has been no landscaping, weeds overgrown everywhere. The dust was hanging from the ceiling. There was a random fork in the first room, not ours. The picture on the web site is NOT this locations lobby. Manager was apologetic. All of the snack and drink machines were empty on a Friday in June. Will not stay here again.

The woman at the front desk was beyond sweet, absolutely no issues with her at all. 1. location was decent, finding the place was simple so good points for that 2. Front desk process was quick and easy so that was nice. Next time I book with Hotels.com I’ll be using my AfterPay card as you cannot use it at the hotel once you are there unless they accept tap to pay. 3. None of the vending machines were on or had anything in them. Didn’t even attempt the ice maker because I’m sure that would have also been another let down. 4. Elevator was nice and we got a room right off of it so that was convenient. 5. DoorDash or just going out for everything would be best bet to have anything good to eat or drink while at this hotel unless you bring your own cooler. 6. Refrigerator in the didn’t work and smelled like it hadn’t in a LONG time. 7. We had called the front desk for towels right away after getting there as there were none in the room - never got them so ended up using our sheets. 8. Room was decently clean except for the ceiling having some kind of goop on it and the mattress had an indent that made sleeping quite uncomfortable. 9. The breakfast is free and that’s for a reason, it’s pretty terrible. Only thing edible was the cereal. I had made some waffles and by the time I got back to the room they were deflated and gooey like literally not edible. The batter was pretty sus so we shoulda known. 10. Use microwave at your own risk, it had a mind of its own. Had to unplug.

Dirty, not mown, trash outside. Cockroach in bathroom. Mold on lamp. Ramen noodles on floor. Dirt walls. Makeup stains on pillowcases.

The actual rooms seem updated. The rest (bathroom, hallway, elevator, breakfast room) were subpar at best.

Service was good and staff was help when you need towels and etc.

The hotel was filthy. It smelled like mold, the shower had mold all over the ceiling and cigarette burns all over the sink. The bedsheets were stained and dirty carpet was filthy. It was the most disgusting room I’ve ever been into in my life. When I addressed the front desk with this, they said they would take care of it when I returned later that evening nothing was done and they ignored my requests.

Our room wasn’t clean. Sheets were stained, floors were dirty, old food around the fridge, dirt on top of the outlets, bathroom was dirty, shower curtain was hanging off the wall, smoke detector didn’t have battery in it. Offered us another room, was in the same condition. We stayed at the hotel 6 years ago and it was ok. Would not recommend anyone staying here until major changes are made.

The hotel was very dirty. Blankets, curtains, and towels had stains. The carpet was filthy.

Pulled the bedspreads down to dirty, stained sheets and pillowcases. Sheets so thin and yellowed. Little black spots all over one. We packed our things and checked out. We were there approximately 1 hour. We have photos for proof. I want a refund in full. I will never stay at any super 8 after this experience.

Location was great, cleanliness was not. Sheets and floor were good, every other part of the room looked like something out of a horror movie. There were splatter marks on the walls and painting and bedspread, toothpaste spatter on the mirror, makeup on the tissue dispenser.

Old soap lying on sink. Trash not dumped from previous occupant, floor not vacuumed

The room was very dirty rhe bedspread had stains the rug had some white dried up on it and the floor behind thd bathroom was dirt. Grabbed our stuff and left did not felk comfortable to slerp there.

Not very clean: crumbs beside fridge, hairs in bathroom, debris in ‘dresser drawer’ and fridge had residual spills. Tired property: linens and terry frayed and thin, walls need repaired and repainted, random mini fridges in stairwell, landscaping hasn’t been touched in years, 1 of 2 luggage carts was virtually inoperable, breakfast nook had a layer of stickiness on all horizontal surfaces, carpeting in room and public spaces is stained and frayed. Customer service was above average, they simply don’t have nearly enough staff run a limited service property well enough. Worked well for a single traveler: shower had hot water, toilet didn’t overflow and the air conditioning blew cold. Bottom line: the room and building needs a renovation and definitely need more staff

This location is conveniently located off the interstate; however, being in this location also means there is a lot of highway traffic noise. It is a short distance to restaurants & shopping.

If you're travelling alone and don't expect much and/or looking to save money, this place is fine. Was clean enough, bed was comfortable, but bathrooms and other room furniture in shabby condition. Hotel staff were usually on personal phone or not at desk, but didn't have to wait too long.

Good stay Only problem was the bath tub It's falling through the floor Didn't take a bath or shower the whole 2 weeks I stayed because I was scared I was going to fall through

While being situated next to an expressway, this is the most quiet hotel I have ever stayed in, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and it was an all around pleasant experience .

Its old, and and the handle on my shower fixture fell off. Very very small choices for continental breakfast. Room was good tho.

Price was good and close to the Civic center for the concert we came out to see. Recliner in room was broken didn’t recline. Desk chair should be replaced. Material on the chair is bad. Hair dryer on wall came off the wall when I used it. It wasn’t anchored in the wall only put in with screws. I didn’t have much hot water when I showered after my boyfriend.

Photos are definitely not current. This place is worn down, falling apart and overall gross. The bed was one of the only clean things and even that made me wish id spent just a few bucks more to go a higher quality place. Wont make the mistake again.

The entire stay there was no heat, could not get a staff member available to tell or come fix. Checked out a day early could not stay there anymore. Traveling with a toddler needed heat.

My stay was okay--it was only for one night, and there was nothing that made my stay terrible. However, my room key only worked some of the time, and some of the items in my hotel room did not work (alarm clock, TV). Overall, just a moderately disappointing room. However, the room was clean.

Staff was most accommodating to my special needs!

On check in at 4pm, the front desk was unattended. Used the phone to call someone to the desk, he arrived about 5 minutes later. They put a hold of $250 on my credit card for "incidentals". Kind of excessive, I thought. He gave me a key for the room and when I went upstairs and opened the room, the bed was not made. Seems that they had neglected to clean the room. I went back down and he was gone again. While waiting for him, 3 more people were behind me in line. He gave me key for a different room. It worked, but the room condition was not good, dust on furniture, rusty chrome on table lamps, missing keys on the TV remote control, soiled and stained bathtub, no stopper on the bathroom sink, bathroom sink pulling away from the walls, no washcloth, only one paper cup for coffee, no plastic cups for drinking use, barely readable display on the temperature control for the heat/ac unit, When I came back to the room on my second day, the bed was not made, the room had not been cleaned and restocked. I have stayed at this property several times each year over the past 6-8 years. It was never bad. It's clear that the management just does not care anymore. I have choices about where to stay. This property is off my list from now on.

I loved my interaction with the staff though. The gentleman at the reception area particularly. He was very kind and helpful.

The stay was wonderful and the front desk guy was very nice and accommodating as we needed to check in very early.

Their was no one at the front desk all nite long not very friendly at check in

I have been a business traveler for over 35 years and have easily had over 500 nights spent in hotels over the years. This facility, and specifically the manager, is the worst facility I have ever experienced. In fact, travel is typically so unremarkable, this is the first hotel review I have ever left. When I arrived I needed to use a bathroom and since someone else was checking I went to find the facilities. Turns out, the lobby bathroom was locked. After waiting about 5 minutes, I decided to just wait until I got to my room. Approx. 10 minutes later, the couple who was checking in when I arrived was finally processed. When asked if there was something wrong with the bathroom, it turned out there was nothing wrong. He just doesn’t like leaving it unlocked and doesn’t bother to put up a note saying “See desk for key” or something. So when I point out how incredibly worthless he is as hotel manager he starts babbling illegibly, walks away from the desk and doesn’t give me the room I had already paid for. I should have known better than to book at a Super 8 and should have known it was going to be a disaster when I pulled in and it was obvious the place had not been mowed in at least a couple weeks and there was trash and debris all over the parking lot. If this is the only hotel left it Peoria, sleep in your car.

They pretty much have one staff person running the whole motel. Beds were super uncomfortable. AC was super loud. Lots of sketchy guests. I reserved 2 rooms. I put my name on one room and my mother's name on the other room. The front desk clerk, without me knowing, told my mom she needed to put down a $100 deposit. My mom is older and gave him a $100 cash. Pretty sure the guy just pocketed it.

Too was quiet, however dated and not clean. During our stay, the front desk put up sign that they were away and to press 0 for service. We did this and it took several times to get help checking in and checking out there was a plastic basket to put your room key.

I was very disappointed that because I booked through Expedia they refused to print me a receipt. I work for a hotel and its not that hard to photo copy the Expedia reservation for the receipt to give to the customer. The Lady at the desk was very nasty about it.

I appreciate they let me check in early and was very accommodating to me coming in so early. Even offered me options to breakfast options early.

This location is conveniently located off the interstate; however, being in this location also means there is a lot of highway traffic noise. It is a short distance to restaurants & shopping.

I stay here regularly. It’s older and its age shows. However everything works. The bathroom is very dated and worn but clean and in order. The room and linens were clean. Staff very friendly. Safe area although a little isolated. For the price it’s a good deal.

Big rooms. Good location close to interstate, college, and Civic Center

I was looking for an inexpensive,chain hotel not too far from where i was playing in a golf tournament. This place fit the bill. I checked in around 9pm,took a shower, went to bed,and left eary the next morning. The ac was a little noisy but not bad coffeemaker didn't work,but oh well...I know my girlfriend wouldn't stay here,but i would stay here again!

The a/c didn't work properly it was either hot or ice cold in the room. Set on 70 but the room temp changed. The room could have been cleaner. Hot water wasn't very hot. The breakfast was a joke the coffee pot was broke and no creamer was available. The waffles were ok was about the only thing good. The check in clerk was friendly and helpful. The lobby was nice. But as above rooms lacked a lot.

Poor breakfast

Even though i did a precheck it took 20 minutes to check in.. i had requested main floor due to my husband being handicapped. There were 4 cars in the lot but i was told the 1st floor was booked. At 6 AM, there were only 9 cars yet there were more than 9 first floor rooms. Breakfast is 2 cereals, bagels, white toast, miniature muffins, and waffles. The coffee was excellent.

I liked this place. I could tell there were staff who worked hard to keep the place clean and well kept. They even had a real breakfast in the morning.

The shower curtain had mold on it! I had to call for someone to come to the front desk and once I discovered that there was nobody on the premises. We were told there was continental breakfast that was not available! When we entered the room nothing was working and we discovered that everything was unplugged!

You choose the cheapest hotel you can find and - you get what you pay for. This may have been a pretty nice building at one time, but zero maintenance will take its toll. From a dripping shower to a loose toilet to a pathetic excuse for a "continental" breakfast - with no coffee, this is a place we will never try again. Spend a little more and get a lot more - like maid service, for example.

We stayed 2 nites and trash cans were not emptied nor were the towels replaced. We had to go to the front desk for cups, towels and coffee. We went downstairs for the continental breakfast around 8 am. There were 4 slices of bread, 3 bagels, no sweet rolls, coffee machine which offered about 6 different hot beverages only had 1 type of coffee that worked, the rest were empty. Sad situation!
