I had a restful stay at the building C. It was quiet during the holiday weekend. Room was cleaned, the amenities (cooking kit, laundry) were a plus. Coffee and protein-based granola bar made morning commute smooth.

Stay was great. Whole building and room smelled a little funky, though. Didn’t help that they were remodeling 😅

I love the front desk. Meriam was lovely not sure on the spelling. I will be back. The best part is this hotel has ovens! Not only that but the hot water is to die for.

Nice, clean, and comfortable. Spacious rooms and truck/trailer/RV parking on site.

Bad experience: 1) No cleaning service, same towels/sheets/pillow covers everyday, no shampoo or soap 2) Poor breakfast, no fruit/yogurt/sandwich on any day, only powdered milk and grain bars and bread 3) You have to ask for WiFi instead of having network details in the keys holder. They want to charge fees for WiFi usage. 4) The door’s keys cards were easily misconfigured so we have to go and ask the front desk to reprogram them. 5) Kitchen in bad state

Very friendly staff, clean rooms. Only thing was hard to find parking. Also it’s a smoke free hotel but building B smelled of cigarettes right away as soon as you entered. Other than that pretty decent.

This place is very different from a typical hotel - apparently a converted apartment complex. The rooms are really old, floors not clean. The front desk staff did not seem 'happy' to receive guests. No mention of the breakfast, and we realized why the next morning. The breakfast area is closed and there is no heads up at check-in. (Expedia still lists "free breakfast"). We were told the luggage carts are inside each 'building' but there are none. There is not even an ice machine in each building, you have to go to the main biulding to get everything. There are no utensils that come with the room, but need to be requested and picked up. Then the utensils are of very cheap quality. The fridge in the room, did not break (so technicallyl still working) but it is not at all cold. At this point, we stopped asking for anything. NOT RECOMMENDED for families that especially think that they can treat this stay like a home and not have to worry about anything.

I\'ve stayed at multiple Extended Stays for the convenience and price. However, this one seemed more like an apartment complex with random people loitering around the grounds between 11pm - 3am. The parking lot was completely full each night. The 2 bedroom I rented had mildew on the window seals and broken window blinds. The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but you can clearly smell the smoke. Apparently, someone had a pet in the unit prior due to the pet signage indicated "pet inside". (I am sensitive to pet dander and couldn\'t get another room.) I also woke up with 3 red bug bites on the left side of my face and 3 red bug bites on my upper left arm. If a roadside motel is a 1*, then I guess this hotel is a 2*. This was most likely my worst hotel experience in my 20 years of traveling for business.

This place was AWFUL! The first 3 nights I was there the entire parking lot was FILLED with police etc and each night numerous people being arrested. The key cards wouldn't open the outside doors to get in, I had to swipe for at least 3 minutes to get my door to unlock. My toilet leaked under the laminate flooring in the bathroom and when you walked in it would bubble this gross fluid from between the strips of flooring. It stunk like frost food and weed so bad it was nauseating. The from desk staff were rude and absolutely useless for anything. I literally just ended up leaving and going to the Best Western, that is Brand New, for an extra $20/night and just letting this dump keep my money. There are no plates, cups, silverware etc. You have to pay to rent them from the terrible front desk staff. You have to pay for their slow wifi. And the Breakfast! Just nasty old coffee. I don't see how this place is allowed to operate. Hell, there are even cockroaches in this place. The beds must be 20 years old with basically 2 sheets on them providing ZERO warmth. Truly worse than any hotel I have ever stayed at. I should've filmed the place, it would've been historical.

I’ll never come back here.

During our stay we managed to get a room with leaking toilet. Water was dripping all night. On my way to the kitchen to wash my hands lencountered about 20 small cockroaches scattering back inside the cabinets

The room was full of roaches, so we got a refund and found somewhere else to stay. There were also 3+ police officers and a bunch of commotion and wild things happening. We were only there for 15 minutes and it was horrible all the way around.

I stayed in my room for about 2 hours. During that time, I saw a variety of bugs. In the closet, kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bed. I checked out and went to another motel.

Dirty room, found multiple bugs in the bathroom and in the rooms on the bed. Broken baseboards, head boards and night stands. Theres no tv in one of the bedrooms and have to move the livngroom tv and rewire it if you want a tv, the curtains had holes and stains and there was people hanging out in the stairways smoking as well as random people wandering thru the parking lot. Terrible experience

Overall the room was just dirty. The floors were super dirty. The walls & doors were scuffed; one of the door had a huge hole/crack on it that made it unstable to swing. The oven had buttons that were burned or scratched off and were inoperable. Living room lamps were inoperable because the cords were cheeed or cut off. The room smelled like smoke and the bathroom had mold on the ceilings. We had a constant issue with flies in the room. The staff tried to make things better by moving us into a new room when I took photos of our room so that I wouldn’t be charged my deposit thinking we did the damages. The second room was almost as bad as the first. I think the entire property needs an update overall. Didn’t care that breakfast was as other have mentioned already just granola, muffins and coffee. Disappointed there was no where to fill a water bottle. We won’t be using ESA for futures stays.

Small roaches seen crawling on sink and bathroom floor. I’m giving an overall 3 bec the staff are nice. Their grab and go breakfast is very minimal to nothing.

Easy Check In, Room was clean and spacious

I stayed the weekend after visiting the nearby amusement park with my husband and children who are all 4 years of age and under. We booked the double queen bed suite and out of 3 televisions, only one worked! With 3 toddlers it wasn’t a good night. Called the front desk and rude gentle suggested that we only use the one that was working. When I called back to tell him the only tv that was working volume button wouldn’t turn the tv down, no one picked up the phone . I constantly called and never got an answer. I was very displeased and should’ve stayed at hotel across the way.

No dishes what so ever. Put food in the freezer it never got cold. Rooms filled with smoke smell. Dishwasher pulled out. Windows didn't lock on first floor. TV was not working just horrible

Our stay was less than ideal. The property is clearly neglected and used mostly as a residence more so than a hotel. It was freezing in the hallways but then our room was damp feeling. The carpet felt wet even though it was not. The air conditioner worked until we change the temperature and then it did not work the rest of our stay. There was mold in the vents, half the outlets did not work, the pillows were old and lumpy, the drain of the bathtub was rusted through and trying to get a consistent temperature for a shower was difficult. The door to the oven was broken and just overall bad wear and tear on all the furniture. I’ve stayed in better places for less. However, the cleaning staff appear to do the best with what they have to work with. The room was overall clean. I went to the front desk to talk to someone about the condition and there was a sign at the desk that said “be back soon” with a line of 3 other people. I waited for 5 minutes but could not wait longer. To end the bad stay we were awoken at 8am on. Sunday morning by a lawn mower and leaf blower being used right outside our room. Definitely disappointed and do not recommend. *picture is of mold in the vent

You get what you pay for, I guess. Not a good experience at all with this Extended Stay. Dirty and dingy hallways. Old room with peeling paint. Stained floors. Non-working TV remote (although I arrived late so didn't have a ton of time to watch much - or the desire to complain about it). No garbage cans at all - main area, kitchen or bathroom. Shower didn't drain properly. Front desk person WAS apologetic and said she'd pass along the info to her boss. Not much else to say here.

The air didn’t work so I tried to open the window which was almost impossible and it almost fell off and wouldn’t stay. There was no air flow so I figured I’d turn on the oven fan for some movement and that didn’t work either. The breakfast had 3 options granola bar, oatmeal or muffins and the muffins were gross.

Mold on the bathrooms and broken air vent. Smelled and felt humid and nasty in the room.

The stay was awful! First night we quickly learned our toilet didn’t work properly and the piece inside the tank had to be shook to get the water to refill. Also found wet spots on the counter, but didn’t realize the water was from a leak in the sink until day 3. On day 2 we had to deal with a party of about 15 people that were loud and obnoxious. People were smoking weed and playing extremely loud music. Eventually police were called and the unregistered guests were asked to leave. Day 3 at night, I found an unknown bug crawling in the drapes. Room was filthy and most staff were not very friendly.

Very disappointing. Nightmare from check-in to check-out. Rented two suites, each having two bedrooms, a living room and kitchen for two nights. I attempted to write an overview of our experience at the Extended Stay, but ran out of characters in this review box. Nonetheless, I will highlite my concerns. 1. Both desk clerks we interacted with never fully listened to our questions or comments. They would cut us mid sentence and make statements unrelated to the issue in question. It to 45 minutes to register, even with reservations. 2. Three times dealing with the clerk we were interrupted by a call from his girlfriend. Each time he walked off and left me. 3. I rented two premium suites. Housekeeping was still prepping the rooms at 3:10. All of the suites floors were wet with soppy water. We left to give housekeeping time to finish the rooms. Upon returning 1-1/2 hours later, we had to hold onto furniture to keep from slipping and falling. We called for housekeeping to come and do something but were told they were gone for the day. We had to get towels and dry all the floors ourselves. 4. Out of six TVs in the suites, not one worked. The thermostats in both suites did not respond. Maintenance was able to get the ac to work, but there was no TV for the kids. 5. I wish there were more spaces to write here because these problems were before 10 pm on day one. Day 2 was far worse - so bad our daughter's family left. Horrible!!

They double billed me, had to wait an hour to check-in.

The property was safe and the staff were very helpful and accommodating.

The check-in staff was rude and unhelpful. They could not find the reservation and we're very unhelpful to help fix it. We had to book a second time in the app to get the exact same suite. There were no towels and when we asked for some, we were given only three, paper thin towels for our family of six. We had to use our beach towels. We felt very vulnerable to have to give our kids names to be able to stay. That intrusion of privacy was not necessary and was not advised beforehand, but we were stuck. We will never use Extended Stay again.

I got a phone call from the hotel and said there is no room available. I tried to talk the manager and hang up on me. Tried to call few time and they don't answer.

Rude, poorly run. Didn’t have the reservation I made on Expedia.

I get that it is a cheap place, but this place is bad. I waited for 5 minutes to check in before walking around the entire main floor to find someone. The room smelled bad, there were stains on the walls and bedding, carpet was missing in several places, clumps of hair in the shower, and the place was barely holding itself together (see door pic). The room door wouldnt stay shut on its own. Food was left in the fridge I called for extra linen and waited at the desk for several minutes. Breakfast was literally either prepackaged muffins or a granola bar. When I went to check out no one was at the desk again. after waiting for several minutes I had to call the hotel to get anyone to come up to the front desk. Pay a bit more and stay somewhere else.

I drove an hr to get there, after making reservations that morning an paying for the room already. I was told that they didn't have an available rooms for me an kids . After all of that... maybe be more considerable of ppl if you're overbooked an know you have ppl coming to check in call them an say dont bother . I had to drive an hr back at 10 pm. I will definitely never be booking a stay there again. Id never recommend them either.

People was were friendly and very helpful. Quick at helping us when our tv didn’t work. Even changed our room.

This is our second time staying at this facility and we did not like it. We felt a little unsafe. There were people driving so fast out of the parking lot. Each night the halls smelled like marijuana. The room next door always kept their door open and you could see how dirty it was inside. It seemed like the facility just put us in just whatever room was left even though this was booked two weeks prior. Our rooms floor was so dirty my kids bottom socks were black. The toilet leaked so bad, water was coming out through the tiles. This seemed to be a constant problem in that room because the vinyl tiles were separating. In our room the sockets were open and not closed safely. There was a hole through our bedroom door. In the other room the fire detector was hanging from the ceiling. The pull out sofa was extremely dirty it did not even seem to be the same color it used to be before, just dirty. The staff was friendly though. And lastly they did not have enough towels for their guests.

Not the cleanest place, phone in room is not connected, no ice machine near room had to go to lobby and put ice in bag because they don’t have ice buckets. Have to ask for dishes, utensils and pots at the front desk and none of this was mentioned at check-in. Dundee police patrols parking lot frequently which is nice but also raised a red flag for me. There were some shady looking people around as well.

They couldn't find the second night of my reservation, even after i provided the confirmation. Seond night 20 Police squad cars showed up for a manhunt of a domestic abuse with some sort of blood spatter. They blocked us in so we couldn't leave until we were cleared to do so. The complex isa neighborhood in itself. Wont be back.

Rooms are large and comfortable, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The temperature was unbearably warm and I actually had to turn the air conditioning on to be comfortable, which seems not eco friendly (Shouldn\'t need AC in January in Illinois). Also, the property advertises breakfast included, but this consisted of black coffee, a few bagged muffins and some packets of oatmeal that could be mixed with hot water. No juice, no fruit, not even toast available. I suggest removing the "free breakfast" ad... it just creates disappointment in an otherwise good stay.

I had a great experience at this location a couple of years ago, so I decided to give it another try. However, my recent stay was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, the place had an unpleasant odor, reminiscent of cigarettes. Inside the room, one of the towels was already wet, and the room itself smelled like a mixture of wet dog and cigarettes, indicating that it hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly. We requested new towels, but they informed me that they didn’t have any and that housekeeping had them all. We were left waiting for them, but no one came throughout the entire stay. We also asked to use bowls, but they informed me that they didn’t have any and gave me a pot to cook instead. To make matters worse, there were stains on the mattress. The cold water supply was also inadequate, and the breakfast consisted of just muffins and some to-go oatmeal. The appliances were also in poor condition and dirty. I usually don’t leave reviews, but this experience was so disappointing that we even ended up leaving earlier.

Room was OK, but in an area that was being renovated and was a mess. Advertised breakfast included with room. Breakfast essentially consisted of a coffee and a couple of muffins.
