Unfortunately we had a terrible experience here. When we got there (2 hours after check in) we went to our room and it had not been cleaned. We were moved to another room and it was barely cleaned. Everything was dusty, there was trash in the corners, drawers, etc., the bathroom fan did not work, our phone to call downstairs for help did not work, the curtains where torn to shreds, and there was a dirty rag sitting on top of one of the lamps. In addition, AC was leaking and the floor was soaked on one side of the room. The hallways were lined with trash, food and random crumbs, and bleach spots. Every time we went to the front desk, we would have to wait for several minutes until someone would come out of their office. When I tried to use the dryer, the machine took my coins and front desk said it was a maintenance problem and I would have to wait for them (they would be there after check out). We DID enjoy the pool, although you had to wait on the front desk to unlock it. Very poor experience and we hope they do better!

We had to wait a long time to get into the pool because the receptionist had to let you in and then they charged you a $50 fee for deposit that you could not pay cash. You had to pay your card and then it doesn’t get released for like five days

First the elevators were not working,my restroom dryer's was not working 2 lamps were not working only one lamp in the room was switching on also the switch board were too loose to plug-in chargers only one switch board was working. They never refilled the breakfast stuff if it was over even though there were people left to eat .It was a really bad experience for me. I would never come back to you guys

We had to get moved twice! The first room was filthy, the toilet was broken and clogged up with urine in it. The second room had no heat and it was 32 degrees outside. The pool was freezing. The only good thing was the front desk agent who went above and beyond to make sure we got into a room we could sleep in.

Shampoo or replace rugs, get better towels (rough and too small, thought they were hand towels), replace torn curtains, EVERYTHING WAS DUSTY, update the bed linens (looked like something from Goodwill), get the ventilation system cleaned the smell of mold is throughout the entire building, the pool looked totally unclean not to mention the floor area around the pool looked dirty (needs a power washer!), and lastly the so called gym was a JOKE! Two pieces pieces of equipment DID NOT WORK. Give back the Wyndham name...terrible experience and will not be back!

It is dirty, and stained up.....fitness area items didn't work, the pool looks nasty. There is a nasty musty smell when heat was turned on and the room kept that smell. We are only staying one night, but we won't be returning to this hotel. It's probably the worst hotel we have stayed in.

This place was so filthy. The hallways, elevator, and rooms. The carpeting in the rooms were sticky, all the wood surfaces were sticky. The mattress was gross!! Not sure how old it was, but I included pictures we took in the morning. We should have left the night before. The air barely cooled because the grate was missing, so it cooled the floor. There was white powder all along the base of the bed and “stains” all over the couch. Never stay here. You’ll be sorry.

Checked into the property and went to my room #313. Room was very dirty. There was an unidentifiable black splatter on the wall, dirty bed covers with stains, dust, and dirt on furniture, toothpaste on bathroom, sink and mirror and the bathtub was not cleaned. When I tried to let the front desk know that I was no longer going to stay because of the unclean room they told me I would get no refund. The front desk said because I had stayed longer than 15 minutes I was no longer allowed a full refund. Also, they would need to send housekeeping up to check that the room was actually dirty. I said no thank you. I asked to check out immediately. The front desk refused to give me any checkout paperwork or receipt. Front desk walked away when I asked for her to write down that I was checking out and not staying because of the condition of the room. I was charged for my full stay when I did not stay in this hotel. I have contacted Expedia for a refund. Still waiting to see if that will happen. Do not stay here. The pictures are fake. The reviews are fake. If you don't mind a dirty room for a cheap price this may be for you, but otherwise please stay elsewhere.

The hotel smelled of mold. Carpet was all over the hotel. Facets in the bathroom sink and tub ran all night. Breakfast was bad. I was checked into a dirty room with stains on the bed and thrash all over. Want to wash clothes and they had no chain for bills. Front desk wearing street clothes. NEVER STAY HERE!!!!!!

This hotel is unbelievably disgusting. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. I couldn't stay. I pulled back the covers to the bed and there was blood on the cover. The toilet had pubic hair on the seat and the furniture looked like it came from the side of the road. I'm still fighting to get my money back. I was supposedly charged for incidentals, but was charged for the whole stay immediately. The good reviews are all lies. The bad reviews you see are the truth. IT IS NASTY.

BEWARE. From having to wait 15 minutes to be checked-in, to the disgusting conditions… our stay was 30 minutes long. We checked-in, hauled all of our luggage to our room (without trying to touch anything with it), saw how dirty our room was, booked another room at a different hotel, and checked back out. Even that was too long of a stay. The only clean thing our room had was bedding, maybe. We were too afraid to check. There was cat food and litter on the floor in the bathroom. Cat food on the carpet by the beds. The room didn’t see a vacuum. The chairs were nasty. I sat down but only because I was having a panic attack. I knew I couldn’t get a refund, and I didn’t have the money to spend on another hotel, but there was no chance we were sleeping there. My 9 year old daughter said she’d sleep in the car instead. I’m by no means a clean-freak, and this place sent me into a panic. It needs to be closed down and a sanitizer bomb needs to be sent off in there. I spent part of my rent on another hotel and I’m so glad that I did.

There was several varieties of things that were wrong with the room. The TV was about ready to go out. Light fixtures were either broke or missing no iron to do my ironing no toilet paper no hairdryer. The fan in the bathroom was screaming so you couldn’t use the fan in the bathroom. Walls were messed up chairs in the room were messed up. It was just a horrible visit.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The lamp on the nightstand didn't work and the curtains were torn. Breakfast was from 6am to 8:30am. Well, they tried to refuse making more sausages. We complained because you're supposed to keep replacing what's run out until breakfast time is over. The waffles were good. The biscuits were hard and the gravy was watered down way too much. Overall the stay was good for a nights rest.

Building was dirty, Hallway carpet was stained and lumpy all down the hall. My bedroom had a broken bed, stained wall and stained furniture. Luckily the weather was mild so I did not need the heat but it did not work and there was a portable heater plugged in the room. Sheets were dirty and there was no way I was taking a shower in the bathroom.

Definitely not the Baymont brand I knew from 20+ years ago. It looked like the front desk lady was living in the office as an apartment. The place was fairly run down. The main light in my bathroom didn't work, and the desk lamp didn't even have bulbs in it. Probably won't be back

The heater in my room did not work and rather than moving me to a room with heat I was given a small space heater that only warmed half the bed. I had to move it each morning to in front of the bathroom door in order to warm the floor before showering. There was often trash in the hallway and the receptacle outside the back door was full and overflowing for two days.

The hotels smells and it’s not very clean. The room didn’t have any blab keys on the bed, just 1 sheet. When asked I was told they ran out and they gave me 3 extra sheets. It was very uncomfortable.

I tried to reach the front desk and had to go through way more automation than necessary just to get a toilet plunger that they couldnt send up andnhad me cone down to grab it only for the same employee to be on the floor i was staying on ten minutes later. They also knocked on my room door when i had a "Do not disturb" sign hanging on the door. Its as if they took that sign as a challenge or something. Also when it cones to their breakfast, the sausage links were still raw in the middle. The room was at least clean and the bed was comfortable at least.

I questioned the exaggerated amount that was held on my card. I was told at the front desk that they held an additional night plus a deposit. In addition, I would receive both amounts back on Monday. On Monday, I received the extra nights charge but never received the additional deposit. It is impossible to get through to the hotel or anyone that can help. When I checked out of the hotel there was a couple arguing with the person working the front desk for this same reason. It appears this may be common scam here to take additional funds off customers cards and not return it!!! This is all in addition to the room being dirty, the sheet would not stay on the dirty unstable bed, and the water in both the shower and sink would not stop leaking.

At first I called the front desk agent. Before speaking she asked me to wait and kept me on hold for 10 minutes. Once I checked in I went into the room the room was dirty with out comforter and pillows. I went to front desk and told her about the she was not at all apologetic and she simply said that that’s not my job and I don’t know how is the room. Front desk agent was really rude and unapologetic. I will never recommend my friends to ever stay here. The room has sticky floor and dirt all around smells like smoke

We checked in late night, there is no night shift on desk 10mins, after we checked in we alloted room with no sheets. Front Desk apologized gave different room which was not great. In late night man walking in hallway with sound, we left unsafe. I stayed with good and well maintained baymonts, this is wrong one. Overall staff I met was great and welcoming.

I checked in on Friday for a 2 day stay and paid with a credit card, including a $100 deposit for additional charges. There were used wash clothes hanging in the bathroom. There were no blankets on the beds, just sheets. I was out all day Saturday and returned to find the room made up and all my belongings gone. When I went to the desk, I was told they thought I had checked out. My belongings were on hold in the office. They had packed up my toiletries, medications, clothing, everything. They had my phone number but made no effort to contact me. I checked out the next day. Now, 3 days later, I'm still waiting for a refund of the $100 deposit. All my calls go unanswered.

It was a bad order in the room when I arrived. The shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor. I had to mop the bathroom myself. I would not recommend this hotel to relatives or friends. The breakfast was ok . Parking was fine. The area was awesome as far as a variety of shopping centers, stores and restaurants. Plenty to choose from. I give it a 2 star because of bad service and poor house keeping.

Prepaid for an employee. Their credit card machine didn’t work for his card. Wouldn’t accept cash or debit card for incedentals. Would accept my card over the phone and refused to send credit card authorization because it was after 4pm. I know the issue was with their machine because I booked a hotel across the street and his card worked fine. After being fine with allowing an employee be stranded without offering any resolution they then refused to give me a refund. STAY AWAY!!!

Arrived in the evening to check in. We were told our room would be ready in 5 minutes. After waiting abut 15 minutes we were able to enter our room. The room had stained bedding. There was food left in the fridge. Mold in the bathroom around trim and top of shower. There was a white substance on the chair. Paint was peeling off the walls. Lampshade missing from lamp. Bed was fairly comfortable so that was a plus. Pool hours are limited from 3-9. Breakfast consisted of 2 types of old cereal. Milk in the fridge was in a dirty container. Bagels and toast were available. Luke warm biscuits and gravy. Didn’t see anyone brave enough to try them. They had waffles that you could make but stuck to the waffle maker. That was and adventure. Overall we were disappointed since we booked this place because it had a pool and breakfast. Neither did we use.

Just needed a place to sleep for one night on a roadtrip. We got in late with 3 tired kids. The bed had lots of hairs in the sheets. Gross. But so tired we picked them out and went to bed. Not really an option to leave with the kids. The worst part was they did not serve breakfast at all. The night staff took the key but she came back at 8:45 while we were standing down there and said "it wasn't worth setting anything out." Our kids were hungry and we asked if they could just have a yogurt or something easy. "No." Our 4 year old started crying and they still wouldn't. Breakfast is supposed to end at 9:30 so this was very disappointing customer service.

There weren't enough towels in the room. When we asked for more, we were told that they were fully booked and they weren't ready for it! The complimentary toiletries had not been replenished. One bed didn't have a blanket on it. The pool heater didn't work. At breakfast, the waffle maker was dirty and no member of the staff ever checked on the breakfast area. I tried to find someone but they appeared to be hiding.

This motel in Merrillville has several problems that I experienced in my recent stay there, including a noisy heating unit, broken floor lamp, lack of adequate blankets on the beds, shampoo and conditioner containers that were at best half-full (I suspect the staff never replaced them from the previous lodgers), and a "breakfast" that was the most bare-bones I've ever experienced -- weak coffee, make-yourself waffle, some smallish donuts and bread, and milk. No fruit, nothing beyond bare-bones! Okay, it was cheap enough (appx. $100/night) but it pretty much sucked.
