The elevator was filthy with broken tiles. Carpet needs to be replaced in all halls. Patches of mold in the shower. It has been a long time since I staved in a La Quinta and quality has deteriorated.

Despite the hotel undergoing renovations, they still had thongs pretty clean. The room itself was clean and comfortable and the location is great. You literally walk out the door to a Starbucks and just a little more to an Applebee's. There are plenty of other options for food and shopping as well. The pool could use a little cleaning and there is no hot tub, but for the price this is a great hotel and seems to be well kept.

I was excited to stay at this location based on the reviews,but was very disappointed. The staff were not friendly. The elevator was old and scary. The room needed a lot of repairs from broken tiles on the floor to broken door latch.

The beds were comfortable, however the whole hotel needs a deep cleaning you can see where it's just surface cleaned doors that you touched were sticky, carpets hadn't been deep cleaned in years. Breakfast was good and management was very friendly.

The location of La Quinta Inn & Suites is great. The breakfast was good and l liked how they cooked their scrambled eggs, not watery. And hard boiled eggs are also available just in case you don’t prefer scrambled eggs. However. It seems like they have not vacuumed their carpet on the hallway and in the room. It smells. And how l wish, the motels would not accept pets for sanitary purposes and how l wish the guests who bring their pets with them in their travel would be considerate enough to understand that.

Nice hotel - better by FAR than the other La Quinta’s we stayed on during this road trip in Albuquerque NM and Bloomington MN. The other two were seriously awful. Kudos to Emporia for having some pride in their property.

The room is feeling old and tired. If you’re okay with dust accumulating and nicked and worn furniture the bed, pillow and coverings were white and clean, also comfortable. Liked thee blackout blinds. All around just and average room aging. Price is not a value. With a new hotel building coming next door, everyone should be upping their game of refreshing and cleaning up… indoors and outdoors!

Room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of food establishments nearby. Hotel was clean, breakfast was good, and staff was very friendly. Only issue we had was our room was next to the pool area so we heard a lot of people traffic. But I would definitely recommend this property.

In general, the room was good. However the place seems to be poorly built and I could hear noise from what appeared to be the room directly above us. I was awakened at 6:00 a.m. by a continuing "thumping" sound caused by movement of people in the room above us. I have stayed here a couple of times in the recent past but this is the first time I have had this issue. The most important thing to me when renting a room is the ability to sleep. During this one night stay I was awakened way too early and then had to drive 11 hours that day. My need to sleep was not met by this hotel.

Stayed 2 nights. Friendly staff. Had to change rooms due to no hot water for shower at 1st room. Electronic room keys don't work very well. Sometimes takes 2 minutes for door to unlock. I had to go to the front desk 2 times in two days to get room key re-activated. No parking available at 7pm the second night. Had to park at the motel next door and walk 100 yards to get to La Quinta. Breakfast seating was for a paltry 13 people. Never coming back.

Staff was unhelpful and unconcerned with helping with travel delays and losing one night stay out of 9 due to airline debacle. Management wouldn’t work with Hotels.com even though they told me they would take care of it and not to worry. They weren’t that friendly either and at once point the front desk guy joked he wished people would leave him alone so he could get the laundry done. I asked repeatedly in several languages to get more coffee pods without success. Housekeeping is only 2 days a week. I wouldn’t stay here again and La Quinta should take their name off this hotel.

Checkin was easy. I was concerned when they asked for my Wyndham rewards status but connected it anyway. The pool was freezing as they had the window wide open. The rooms were average what you would expect from a typical hotel. The breakfast wasn’t great but not horrible. The kicker came when I checked out. I had paid for my room via Hotels.com and the hotel charged my card for the visit. It wasn’t the incidental hold as that had fallen off and this was a new charge. I called the hotel when I returned home from my trip as I didn’t come home the same day. They were aware and had refunded it but didn’t inform me of this mistake on their end causing my balance of my account to fall. Now I have to wait up to 7-10 business days for a refund to process and be short the money because of their mistake.

Property itself is great. Front desk, not so much. Sraff at check-in seemed bothered by our presence, curt, abrasive and impersonal. He was unwilling to consider a room change from next to elevator, saying the property only had three rooms total with a single queen. When we offered to pay for an upgrade, he shamed us for booking through Expedia, saying he had no way of upgrading our room because we booked through a third party. Since we were already checked in, we were told we had no option but to accept our room right next to the elevator and there was nothing he could do about it. We checked in at 3:15 pm, when the property was mostly empty.

employee at the check in desk lied about room availability when he was asked to make a room change for me. He said nothing was available and he could not provide any options. Within 30minutes I witnessed him make a room change for the exact room I had requested. I knew the individual he gave the room change to. The employee just didn't want to be bothered or provide service to this hotel guest. It would have required a little extra work on his part. As a result, I won't stay there ever again. My assigned room was next to the hotel's only guest toilet room, the only ice machine and laundry service room, swimming pool and guest washer/dryer room. Lovely. Room 117 shouldn't be rented to anyone.

I stayed at this hotel for the Flint hills gravel ride. I liked the close proximity to the ride start and area businesses. The hotel itself was clean and absolutely fit my needs. The staff was friendly and I would recommend to fellow riders. I didn't use the pool or breakfast facilities so I can't rate them.

The hotel was clean & inviting. Room was large & comfortable with the best bathroom of all the places we stayed during our trip. The breakfast was not remarkable however. The eggs were watery and the orange juice was out. also the seating area for breakfast was quite small.
