Seemed to be newly renovated. Everything was clean and comfortable. I have stayed all over the US. This stay was as enjoyable as they come. The staff was absolutely some of the friendliest anywhere. Definitely will be back.

Excellent Stay! Definitely one of the best Holiday Inn Expresses I've stayed at. Comfortable and clean rooms and amenities, good parking and convenient location that's very close to plenty of places to eat. Good wifi too. Very friendly and helpful staff, I even left a small item in the room and they offered to mail it back to me - thanks! :)

The property is clean and well-maintained. It was renovated in the past few years and the gave it a fresher, more contemporary look. The breakfast area was also updated and stream-lined. We would definitely stay there again.

The Holiday Inn Express in Middlesboro was excellent. The room was very clean and the breakfast was amazing. My room was on the side facing the road, but I had no problem sleeping. When I checked out I asked if the rooms on the other side were quieter since I would consider returning if passing through the area again. Even though I assured them I slept well staff said a preference for a quiet room would be indicated in my file for IHG hotels.

It was very good. The front desk staff was super nice and welcoming, he was quick to get me checked in and even told me about the rewards system which i didnt know about. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. Will definitely be staying again.

Staff at check in and check out were courteous and efficient. Room was overall clean except the bathroom. There was hair in the shower that wasn't ours. Housekeeping was a bit noisy in the morning, you could hear their detailed conversation. Rooms are spacious, however if your room faces the front of the hotel, you will hear the noise from the road. Big trucks start driving through well before dawn. Location was good for us for the purpose of our visit

Everything was so good except for the automatic light in the bathroom. It went out when I was showering, I was completely in the dark.I had to yell for my husband to come put the light back on. This would be a disaster for a handicapped person. I loved the dove soap and the breakfast was excellent.

Rented room through hotels.com only to be told upon arriving that they don’t rent to “locals” (70 miles!). They must assume everyone and their mother is renting a room to party! Nope! My heat/air unit went out at my house and it’s 28 degrees outside. Basically after booking online had to BEG and PLEAD in order to be able to stay! It’s a weekday and I’m pushing 40 I’m not here to party! I’ve stayed at Holiday Inn Express numerous times all over the country and I’m normally very pleased with my experience. The cable isn’t very good and the bed will kill your back. One would assume all Holiday Inn express use the same mattresses across the country…you’d be wrong as I woke up around 2AM with my back killing me. Fortunately I won’t have to stay here again.

The hotel was great, but the hotel staff is what made this hotel the best stay experience of my travel life. I stayed for nearly a week and during that time interacted with every level of hotel staffing, all were amazing!! I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Staff was very friendly. Hotel was clean and breakfast was the best I’ve had in a hotel with free breakfast. Several chooses of hot foods and cold foods . Lady overseeing the breakfast area was always smiling and very friendly. She was also Conscientious in making sure nothing runs out.
