Embassy Suites Hotel Baton Rouge

I left my job to catch the hot tub an hour before it closed and after 10 minutes they turned off the whirlpool. Very rude.

Room was partially dirty. Hot tub didn’t work. Pool area was broken and run down. Stairs from the second level to ground floor took you straight outside not leading to the lobby. Elevators smelled terrible. Elevators jerked a bit. Fridge did not work. Cell signal went in and out.

I gave an average rating due to air conditioning was out in the entire hotel. Our reservation was canceled and refunded. A little disappointed that we were contacted prior to arrival - 11:30 pm. Had to find another location on very short notice.

Ac didn’t work in the convention area started at 79 on the thermostat at 630am. Ac in room didn’t work and wouldn’t address the requested repair. The entire property is disgusting and nearly uninhabitable. Gift store was empty with no bottled drinks to purchase. Elevators are in complete disrepair that every other guest continuously commented on the speed (or lack thereof) and the shaking on one specifically as it reached the floor. Floors and bathrooms were so filthy you slid around the bathroom. It was so humid from the lack of hvac in the room that the tv was even foggy. Even the room telephones were corroded with goo on the buttons. Was there for work but tempted to go next door just to have ac while working and wearing a suit for a convention for 3 days…

It was simply wonderful!!! My granddaughters love the beautiful interior and the pool. I love the friendly staff and the after 5 social happy hour!! 10/10 recommend

The facility is very old and outdated. The rooms have an old mildew oder. The elevators seemed to be on their last leg. My room had a dirty sock made up in the bed. The floor had not been vacuumed and the bathtub and toilet had dirt rings in them. I asked to have the room cleaned when I came back I had new towels bed made and the dirty sock on the floor not vacuumed and rings still there! I

Staff was nice. Room had mold and mildew in the bathroom and living area. Carpets and tile floors always wet/damp. Not a healthy environment. Was told no ofher rooms were available. Will never stay here again

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The property itself was poorly kept. When we intitially stepped off the 4th floor there was a huge blood-like stsin on the carpet. We rented 2 rooms so my children's room had blood stains on the carpet as well. Both our rooms had non-functioning lights and clogged bath tub drains. I waa able to get our rooms changed but they were still very run down an drab looking. I would never stay there again.

Staff was friendly. Hotel was old and outdated. Our room had water damage in the living area and bathroom. Wall paint was bubbled, paint was peeling. Bathroom door was so water damaged that it did not close at all and had wood pieces falling off the bottom. The bath spout was broken. The carpet had a lot of stains. The pullout couch mattress had large brown/red stains on it. For breakfast I went to get an English muffin and they were all covered in mold. For the price it was a very disappointing stay.

The air is so cold by the time you get yoir breakfast plate to table you better eat fast because it will be ice cold. Dont stop to pour coffee, its inedible at that point. We had a cockroach in our bathroom and I have a picture. When i turned light on it scurried around. UpOn checkout on Sunday around 10:30am, there was someone at reception and she was just awful. We were obviously inconveniencing her. We were checking out and said we had a complaint and she said call the district, we dont help with complaints. We asked for a manager and she said, there isnt one. It was 1am before a group that was hanging out finally went to their rooms. While they were down there they were so loud, it echoes. The hotel is not well maintained. Bathroom floor is dirty, cracked and dated. Wall behind toilet-the paint had big buckles in it and a hole in wall. The carpet looks very worn and stained. This is 2nd embassy we have stayed at in 2 different states and both were not good. Positives: the hostess at breakfast was nice and fun. The manager on duty for Fri and Sat was very friendly. Any staff we came across were always nice EXCEPT the front desk on Sunday AM.

Lobby was dirty. No one working counter, room carpet was Sticky and wet, black mold in bathroom. Breakfast was nice.

Staff was attentive and breakfast was good. Hotel room had ring around the tub, worn and stained carpet, stained couch cushions, bath towel had a big hole in it and I killed what looked like a tiny roach in our room. I usually love Embassy Suites but I won’t be back to this one.

Had to leave. It was loud, floors felt dirty, pillows smell like smoke and the ceiling in bathroom was bubbly and gross. Never again. Thankful that the front desk staff was nice and said they’d refund what I had paid in advance.

The front desk staff was very friendly. Our room needed major maintenance. Toilet had cracks, ceiling had a water leak and falling on floor, shower needed cleaning. Great hotel but in need of a remodel.

This hotel needs to be cleaned! Carpets very stained throughout the hotel. Couches in our room was dirty and stained.

This location is in dire need of a massive overhaul. It might be best to completely guy it and start over. The carpets are filthy. The elevators are exceptionally slow. Most of the interior looks like it hasn't been well cleaned in years. The staff seemed bother that I weas there taking them away from something they would rather be doing. I won't be going back.

The hotel was ideal for our family of 6. The cocktail hour and breakfast make the visit worth your while. The hotel could use some updates. The rooms and bathroom are very small.

Staff was exceptional. Building is starting to show its age. Needs an interior update, new carpet and paint. Plumbing is starting to fail in the hotel as well, two separate rooms and tub drips constantly..

The staff at Saturday's breakfast was great. The ladies kept the areas clean. The check-in staff was great! Why must those staying at the hotel pay for parking! That made no sense. The bathroom floor was always wet!! We had to keep towels on the floor to ensure no one would fall. The hotel engineer came to the room, but could locate no leakage anywhere. The floor was ALWAYS wet. I have never experienced this at a hotel before...no matter how hot it was. This is an accident waiting to happen!!

Condition of hotel is run down. Soon as you enter the room, musty smell is strong enough to knock you down. Air condition doesn't work and bathroom doesn't have a fan or vent. Bed sheets always damp because how humid the room is. Carpet is dame as well, must wear slippers because your sox will be ruined

We travel to Baton Rouge for business once or twice a year and we've been staying at the Embassy Suites for the last 6 or so visits. We love the location, the hotel layout and rooms, and the breakfast. However, the rooms are starting to show their age. Our ceiling in the bathroom was leaking water due to the AC. The first maintenance person emptied the overflow tray but didn't fix the problem. The next day was the same issue with water all over the bathroom. The 2nd maintenance person fixed it. We probably won't stay here again until they update the rooms.

The room was smaller than I expected. However, the Made-to-Order Omelets made up for that. There were some wear and tear on some items in the room that need to be replaced or fixed to look new again.

Hotel rooms/furniture need refreshed. Couch wore completely out. Couldn’t even sit on it without sinking down a foot. Not useable.

The staff is always great. The location is perfect. The sleeper sofas are horribly uncomfortable and need to be replaced. The rooms are clean but the furniture needs replaced. Beds are ok for comfort. Every time we stay have to beg for towels but it’s usually a game weekend or University events so crowded.

I like that the front desk person Brianna checked on me periodically.What I didn’t like was the furniture in the rooms seem old kind of outdated and the tub was peely and the bathroom door wouldn’t close.Overall I wouldn’t mind staying there again if needed.

This property always give 5 star treatment. Rooms, customer service and staff always top notch. Monique is a sweetheart

I got there at 250pm and they stated I would have to wait till check in time to get a room, and it may be a little later than that because housekeeping is a little behind today. I wasn’t able to check in till 5pm. I had to cancel two reservations due to this situation. I asked for any compensation due to the wait and they said there was nothing they could do. This is terrible. The staff was nice but this is bull. I would never book here again

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was extremely nice! Our housekeeper never came to fill up our hair conditioner after requesting and towel shortage too. Shower was missing a light cover which seemed a little unsafe. Bartender was great. Omelette bar was great. Front desk was great.

Stayed here for the LSU vs Florida game and had a wonderful experience! Staff was super friendly. Breakfast was great. The young man making omelettes has some mad skills with a spatula. Thank you all for a fun weekend.

The desk clerk at in take and check out were friendly and helpful. My sister and i had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Our waiter was fast, efficient and friendly. Your complimentary breakfast was very good. Many choices and the staff was awsome. The lady in Charge of of the breakfast staff made our experience a pleasure. Her name is Barbra and on my next trip in July, i will make sure to stay at the Baton Rouge Embassy Suits.

We reserved a room for a family of 7, one with a port-a-crib.. The hotel had no extra pillows for the pull out couch. We asked for some & the front desk said it wasn't possible. They had no extra pillows - ouch! Luckily the king-sized bed came with 4, so we put 3 on the couch bed for our 4 children. My wife used 1, and I used a rolled up blanket as my pillow. It took until 9:30p for the extra sheets to be delivered, by the same staff who checked us in! This place is obviously under-staffed. They need to train some of the breakfast staff to do housekeeping - there were people standing around all during breakfast. Second strike: the room was dirty. There were long, thick black hairs all over the bathroom floor. None of us have that kind of hair. I don't want to know what was on the floor where we couldn't see. We had three towels in the bathroom, and when we asked for more, yet again there were none available. The rest of our trip. Thank God it was only one night! Third strike: the pool was nasty. (No towels, of course, but you knew that from above.) There were huge chunks of hair floating all over and on the ground. Older kids playing WAY too roughly for our small kids to feel safe around. (They are good swimmers, but I wouldn't let them near that mess.) Lastly, people were smoking pot, drinking booze, and listening to loud music in the pool area! I can't make this stuff up. We've been here 4 separate times now, but no more. Stay far away from this hotel!

Mrs Chelmire the front desk lead was amazing. She went over and beyond for me. I came in from Houston and she made my stay so pleasant and so I look forward when I’m in town visiting my family to stay here and have here book all my rooms

I will say that customer service at this hotel was great. We had excellent encounters at the front desk and at the restaurant/ bar. The hotel overall needs an update. Lots of signs of wear and poor upkeep. Poor paint repairs, rails falling in elevator, rusted door knobs, corroded showers, pillows hard like rocks, and bed was so soft uncomfortable.

The hotel itself was nice, clean, and comfortable. The area around it wasn’t too bad, not great but we had no issues at all. Overall worth the stay.

It was odd that nobody was at the front desk. But clearly there was a camera because the gal was able to come out immediately. The front desk agent was very professional and kind. Checking in was easy. The dining is open until 10 PM, which I really appreciated and the chicken fingers were amazing! And kudos to the chef for the Caesar salad. my room is large and exceptionally clean with lots of pillows and plenty of towels. The gentleman serving me on Sunday, September 24 at 9 PM was exceptional. Great stay!

The location was convenient, its in the middle of a lot of store and restaurants.

We enjoyed our stay as we moved our Son into LSU the breakfast was super and everyone was so helpful and pleasant. Easy to find and get to and close to the school.

Quick and easy check in. A lot of restaurant choices. The access to the property is a little tricky (right next to the I-10 ramp). Be sure to study the route if you are driving there yourself.

Very clean hotel. Convenience…a lot of restaurants and stores near by the hotel location.

I love embassy suites This one was old. A/C didn’t work in multiple rooms (we were there with a group). Their breakfast was subpar—didn’t have the omlet station one day. Ran out of food both mornings with large delay in getting it refilled. Breakfast bar scarce compared to other embassy suites.

Very nice hotel. Loved that drinks were free in the evening. Pool was very nice as well. And appreciated they allowed our dogs. Only down side - we looked forward to the “Cajun inspired restaurant” that is on site. However, it was not good AT ALL. Major bummer. Pasta primavera was literally just butter noodles. Expensive and not a true restaurant. Just a sitting area by the bar. And couldn’t even order our drinks with the dinner waiter. Had to get up and go order another one. Waiter was great, dining experience not so much.

Friendly staff, amazing breakfast.

Pros: the lobby is nice and they serve breakfast. Oh, and the housekeeping lady was nice. Cons: the rooms are OLD... like paint peeling and hard water stains old. The mattress on the pullout bed still had the plastic on it and it was so thin, we ended up taking it off the frame and putting it on the floor. One of the wash cloths had a hole in it and the other was so threadbare, I could see through it. Pillows were a weird square shape which makes sleeping on them really difficult because you fall off when you roll over. At breakfast, there was mold on the English Muffins and the people making the custom orders ignored my two teens who were trying to order until they finally gave up and went to find something else. The bathrooms in the lobby didn't flush properly and there was no toilet paper. Oh, and they charge $7.70 per night for parking. Maybe I missed it in the listing, but I thought parking was free. We will definitely NEVER return, and it's likely we'll never stay at an Embassy Suites again. Definitely NOT recommended.

The staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The made to order breakfast was fantastic and well beyond what I imagined. Fantastic stay!!

We had a great stay here! The room was spacious and clean and the included breakfast was the best I’ve had at a hotel.
