Hampton Inn Baton Rouge - I-10 & College Dr.

We were in town for a funeral. The desk staff was extremely friendly. Faith gave us an enthusiastic welcome and addressed me by name during our stay and Keiea checked us out quickly, explained the bill and wished us safe travels. The room was clean, smoke free and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a little small and dated. Because of health issues, I had asked for a roll-in shower but was told there were none, so I was extra extra careful when taking a shower. The bathroom sink dripped. Yesterday, while approaching the elevators to go check out, we observed a housekeeper who was waiting on an elevator, unashamedly digging in her nose. She went from nostril to nostril, deeply digging. It was totally disgusting and my stomach is turning now as I enter this. Anyway, we were subjected to that view for quite awhile, as the elevators were exceptionally slow. There were tissues behind her on the table, but she totally ignored them. She may not know any better. We let her go on her way & we grabbed some tissues to press the down button after she left. We got on the other elevator. We mentioned the slow elevators to Keiea at the front desk and she apologized saying there had been over a hundred customers checking out that morning. I then remembered the crowded breakfasts we had because of the little league baseball players, coaches and families that were also staying there. It was an extremely busy weekend for this Hampton location but it appeared to be handled well.

Pool needs serious attention. Water was green. Looks like it had not been cleaned in a long while.

Only one elevator operable, it was veru slow. No writing paper or pens in room.

It was great for the price and the staff was very friendly. The building is a bit older and the elevators are extremely slow, but overall that didn’t detract from the experience. Room was clean and the house keeping was on-time every day. I would stay there again.

It was good. The elevator was making a noise when it was moving floors. Kind of scary and the ham at breakfast was not good. Everything was good overall!

Hotel was great but apparently we were there too early in the season to use the pool because it was dark green and definitely unusable. Wish I would have known that before I got there.

All nice but one of the elevators was broken on a busy weekend. The ice machine was broken on our floor.

I travel often for conferences and have stayed in many budget-friendly hotels, but this was easily one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The room gave off a very “landlord special” vibe—most noticeably in the bathroom. There were stains on the floor that looked like spilled juice, and the tub was extremely dirty, especially the non-slip area where grime had clearly built up over time. I honestly questioned whether the room had been cleaned at all. The bed was squeaky and felt like sleeping on an air mattress, and on my last night the AC started making a loud humming noise that I was too exhausted to report to the front desk. The phone and TV remote were covered in a layer of grime, and there was an odd humidity that lingered throughout the entire building. I don’t know if I just ended up with an unlucky room or if this is the overall condition of the property, but unfortunately I wouldn’t stay here again.

Desk clerk never got off her chair at check in to greet us. Pet peeve of mine. Room very noisy due to AC unit and highway noise. Room had an ashtray on counter..booked nonsmoking room..smelled. Previous garbage left in room.

Seemed to be an older place. Needed updates. No vent fan in bathroom. Large roach in the room.

Just couldn’t get over the amount of dust particles everywhere. Hotel Transylvania needs a full time duster. The breakfast has grits so it’s one of the best. House keeping was good people. Just the dust

The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a plus! Superior property and reasonable price.

The property was not very clean. It did not appear the elevators had been cleaned since they built the building.

We booked a non smoking room and the room had a pretty strong smoke/musk smell.

This room showed signs of poor maintenance. The baseboard at floor was coming up in a spot and the AC was very loud. There was hair in the tub, in the sink, and in the wall in the bathroom.

Room not clean. Dorito crumbs in the bathroom and trash under the sofa.

We needed two beds - they ignored the reservation per hotels.com policy - the room's AC was really, really noisy and we all got really bad nights sleep. Combine that with interstate noise off and on all night, we wont be returning here.

It was a decent hotel to crash overnight for student drop off at LSU. The air conditioner was louder than a garbage truck driving through a nitroglycerin plant. It kept me up all night. If all the units in the hotel have air conditioners this loud you may not want to stay there.

The hotel needs a remodel. It shows it age and needs updating. But the room was clean and comfortable.

The staff was friendly. The location was convenient to the reason for my visit. My room was average-nothing special. The bathroom was very small-only 1 person could fit at the vanity at one time. The road noise was aggravating.

The hotel was okay. The room was nice except the mattress was hard and the sofa bed mattress was terrible because you could fell the mattress springs. The bathroom was very tiny with a King bed and sofa bed. The breakfast was pretty good.

Practical location. But for the price i paid it was not as expected. Very bad sound isolation. I got a bad rum against the Highway. Heard the traffic loudly. Also my room had a door to the NeXT room so i heard the people there loudly as well.

Staff was friendly but tv didn’t connect and internet didn’t work.in addition you could hear the highway so sleeping was an issue and we were on the 8th floor. Bed was very comfortable .

Overall, this is a reasonable hotel for its price point. However, on a couple of nights it was noisier than it needed to be with guests coming in late and loud. Also theres was some noise through the bathroom ventilation system. They may also want to consider some better soud-proofing against traffic.

I booked a king bed suite (with sofa bed) for my family of 6. When I arrived, we were given a tiny room w/2 double beds. I called reception to let them know we were given the wrong room and this wasn't feasible for our family. The receptionist apologized and said come back down and I'll switch you rooms. So we all go back down and wait. She says ok, the only room we have has a king bed, but the sofa bed was broken so they took it out of there. She said we could give you a rollaway bed to put in there. Excited to finally get settled, we agree. Our family goes back up to a different room, Chris, the overnight receptionist says she will meet us up there with the rollaway bed. We open the door and its another small room, this time with only one double bed. We tell her again this room is not what we paid for and will not accomodate our family. She says well thats my last room, so either you can get a refund or I can call my manager. We all go back down together again and she calls Tonya. She says to her manager, I'm sorry to be bugging you, but I have a customer complaining. I offered her 2 different rooms and she isn't happy. The manager has her ask me if I am a rewards member. I say no, she says well you will have to call Expedia to get a refund. Before she hung up, she said to her manager, well let me handle this chick then I will call you back and she walks away from the front desk. At this point, I was extremely upset with the lack of professionalism of both parties.

Great location. Enjoyed the easy checkin process. Staff was wonderful. Nice breakfast.

Very impressed with the front desk staff. There was a mix up with the room but it was handled professionally and courteously. The woman went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and comfortable. Very much appreciated.

The staff was unwelcoming. There were other guests during the breakfast time where a verbal fight broke out with inappropriate words being exchanged in the presence of kids around. The ambience was terrifying.

This was a halfway point for our group coming from Texas on our way to Destin FL. We got in at 2am and check-in was less than 3 minutes...it was so easy and fast. We had 2 toddlers 2 teens and 2 adults and the room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was very quiet and the breakfast buffet was very good. The kids especially loved making their own waffles. This was a very good stay. I recommend and we would stay again.

We stayed at Hampton Inn for 3 days this week. It was a wonderful hotel, from how clean it was to an amazing breakfast to the friendly staff. I was very impressed with all of it. Our beds were soft and comfortable. The hotel provides breakfast that probably had the best selection of any hotel I have ever been in. The ladies who serve breakfast are very friendly. The front desk staff were very friendly as well. I can tell that people who work at the hotel really love their jobs. I highly recommend this hotel.

The young lady that helped us , Faith was her name. She was fabulous. She got us checked in and was very hospitable. She gets two 👍👍

My only complaint is the highway noise all night. Otherwise would stay again.

Basic facility. Decent breakfast. Friendly staff. Traffic to get in and out.. absolutely sucks. If this wouldve been noted before our stay. We would never have picked this location. We had friends that booked another Hampton inn.. their experience was much better than ours. The elevator is creepy slow. Breakfast was average.

Walking distance to dining . Easy assess to the Interstate.

We’ve stayed at this hotel several times and will continue to do so. It is clean, comfortable, affordable and convenient. We stay here when visiting our daughter at LSU. It’s not far from campus. It is right off the freeway so it would also make a good stop if you’re on a roadtrip, especially because they have free breakfast, and are near a gas station and a Starbucks (not to mention all the other nearby places to eat).

The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making my stay very pleasant. The hotel’s prime location next to the interstate and main roads made it incredibly convenient to explore Baton Rouge effortlessly. I'm planning on booking the same hotel during my return trip in October.

I loved the cleanliness & hospitality of this hotel. The staff was great & helpful. I would have given it 5 stars except there were a couple things that could have been better. 1) The breakfast tasted good BUT was not well kept up. The first day they apparently ran out of eggs. There were none when we got down there at 8:00. The second day they were out of meat by 8:00. That’s not good since breakfast should be available from 6:00-10:00. 2) The bathroom/countertop is really small & they had the coffee pot on the bathroom counter. I didn’t have room for my toiletries bags & clothes so it was a little inconvenient. I guess the next time I stay here I’ll temporarily move the coffee pot to another table in the room. It’s just going to take some additional inconvenient effort. The location is really good though for restaurants within walking distance & nearby shopping places within 1 mile. I would definitely stay here again. :-)

The breakfast options were nice: waffle bar, pastries, cereal, yogurt, and 3-4 hot items! The staff was friendly and very helpful. The bed was comfortable.

Stayed here overnight driving from Houston to Florida. Room was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. Breakfast and coffee were also good. I’d stay here again if traveling through.

Great hotel, great staff, great breakfast

We arrived in the evening after our second all-day drive. After a fast and painless check-in with friendly folks we turned in. While the beds were comfortable enough, the noise from the freeway was constant. That along with the noise of water rolling down the pipes in an adjacent room was enough to disturb our sleep. Breakfast was cringeworthy. I couldnt decide between the reconstituted (powdered) scrambled eggs and the elderly (petrified) hard boiled ones.

It was convenient to I-10, nice and not crowded. I didn't like the breakfast food. It wasn't good.

Clean and comfortable, close to I10. However, breakfast selection disappointing. No omelettes barely an hour in at 7am. Limited alternatives, unless you like waffles. No yogourt either. That said the oatmeal was best I had in quite some time!
